- “When I was a child, I was fascinated by the spontaneity and the freedom of the clown,” says Reinhard Horstkotte, a performer who is profiled in Emmanuel Vaughn-Lee’s short documentary, Laugh Clown Laugh. Horstkotte embraces these virtues in his work as a clown. Over the course of his life, he has cultivated a rich philosophy of clowning-one that transcends sheer entertainment value. Read more:

"Everything is important but nothing's really very serious"
That's beautiful ❤️
Yes...🥳🤗
I know I'm kinda randomly asking but does anybody know a good website to watch new movies online?
@Tristan Mateo I use flixzone. Just google for it =)
@Hunter Kaden Yea, been watching on Flixzone for years myself :D
It’s sad how they media made clowns something to be afraid about.
What if we can turn things around for the better and have the media make clowns something to care about, to laugh along with, and make them part of the fun and whimsey again? That would be brilliant.
@@reneastle8447 people need to write books, draw comics, stories about clowns portrayed in a good light. After all, the clown hate mostly started with pennywise from IT
@@Maber610 Amen, pal, amen, we can start by creating books, comics, stories, and songs about clowns in a positive portrayal.
Only The Fool can tell The Emperor that he's wearing no clothes. Only those in power have anything to fear from clowns.
Not true. American voted for Trump. They were clearly not afraid of the clown profile
I've always liked clowns, but this here - this is special.
Me too clowns are awesome
this was really stunning. something about the part where he was trying to put the leaves back onto the tree with the gentle music.... it really made me like... FEEL something. I'm not sure what, but there's something about that moment that really sticks with me. Maybe it's because the tree is dying, and the innocence of the character is trying to give it its leaves back... the innocence and care... I don't know. Either way, this video was beautiful, and will really stick with me.
Agree with you 100%. I think this was beautifully done and is a wonderful piece!! ❤
Well said, it was a special moment indeed ❤️
Yes !
This is truly beautiful, deep and something I was looking for. I have no experience with clowns but lately I contemplated about the idea of what it means to be a clown. I felt intuitively that there must be some philosophy of transcending seriousness of life and the Ego. Coming back to the innocence, spontaneity and playfulness of a child, exactly like it was said in the film. Seems obvious to me now that there is such thing as a way of a clown - which is a spiritual approach to life.
👍❤️
If you love Robin Williams or Jim Carey then you know all you need
Hi, Daniel! How is it going with clown approach to life?) you wrote exactly what I'm thinking right now. I haven't find enough lightness in philosophy and now I'm asking myself: what if I be a clown?))
Clowns get a lot of hate and stupid comments despite their beauty, it's always been like that and I don't know how it would be if things change, maybe their beauty is hidden just for certain people to admire. Anyways, I loved this video, it made me cry a bit cause I love clowns, this is quality content.
i agree with everything you said.
This man and I have the same walk, the way he isn't set on a straight path, the way he hesitates when he steps on the barrier. I wish I could put my shame aside and be a clown, but I get embarrassed so easily, but then again maybe that could be an element of my clown side
If you feel it, play it!
Yes! And it gives you something to hide behind- it’s not you, it’s the Clown persona
“I think we all have the urge to be a clown, whether we know it or not.”
-Ernest Borgnine
This video is part of a playlist Ive made; the philosophy of the Clown as portrayed here is moving, poignant, beautiful. It makes me want to be more sincere, less serious, and to follow the clown call in everything I do through life. Make Art sing from out of my soul. Love from Florida, U.S. ❤️❤️❤️🤡
I would love to know some more of the things on your playlist. I’m trying to find balance, as well as
Whatever doesn’t kill you simply makes you stranger
true, an innocent being who wants to make a world a funnier or an easier place to be
I liked how our sense of smile and laugh are awaken by the more quiet parts of the film. Amazing and well made. Hats off
Sad we cannot make parties now, but someday we will celebrate life and gather, and clowns will play with children again. I am a clown.
I wanna be a clown!😱😫😷
This made me smile and cry
This whole video gave me goosebumps (not out of fear) just the deep emotion and beauty of it all I've been fasinated by clowns since I was a little girl I'm currently 16 about to be 17 in March and before I get older I want to dig deeper into the history of clowning and I want to actually look for clown collages and really get off my feet and let my clown girl come out this video inspired me to achieve my dream because to be a clown means to be free of humiliation because isn't that the point of being a clown? being clumsy and silly to cheer others around you up?
Go for it!!!
So few views yet this is such a little gem, such a tiny yet a mighty piece of art and joy. Thank you.
A beautiful piece.
I was the only one that got a melancholy feeling watching this???
Trying to put the leaves back on the tree...god what an analogy
The reason people are so serious about the clown thing is probably related to returning to the silliness and ignorance of being a child, as he said in a way that's both fun and melancholic.
all these action have nothing to do with a child or their behavior . its just a pervert way of thinking, nothing more.
@@NikosPer your mindset is sad and dull

Why not both?
@@TheEternalClown it's the same thing anyways
@@satmusa Perhaps from a non-Christian's perspective

Lucky to see this video!
I must have watched this video about twenty times. Thank you.
Dear Sir. Thank You So Much. You, Are A Great Human-Being. 😞 xxxx
name of the music?
I dunno the name but it's produced by H.Scott Salinas and Emmanuel Vaughan Lee. Several soundtracks by HSS alone can be found on UA-cam but the ones with the most similar feel to this came when I searched Emmanuel Vaughan Lee. a soundtrack for a film called Elemental which is produced by both EVL and HSS.
one of the greatset vids i ever watch!
Can any one tell me WHAT THE NAME OF THE MUSICE??
This was so so so stunning and beautiful. I am so inspired, I laughed and cried.
Fantastic !!
This is a beautiful video
Clown is a special job with a mission.
But being a clown in Germany that's a waste of time.
I didn't understand why the people on the street didn't react to him and then I realized he is in Germany and it all made sense. How sad.
I'm living in Germany for almost a decade (happily married here to one of those exceptions with sense of humour) and still didn't get used to the fact that majority of Germans are emotionless robots.
That brilliant sensitive man should do his clowning elsewhere ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I love this so much the beauty of being a clown ❤️
a beautiful film
great video
I loved this!
Wonderful
no se que dice, pero no hace falta, porque un clown traspasa cualquier barrera idiomatica, un clown trasmite emociones y para eso no hace falta ningún idioma, solo se ve y se siente...
"Everything is important but nothing is serious." ❣‼⁉❗
I really wanna bee a clown.
Could I know where the music is from please.
Edit, just saw the credits.
Clowning is in some way taught in all forms of comedy. But people hate Clowns. Miming is a discipline that requires a ridiculous amount of knowledge and control of your body. But no one likes Mimes.
buenissimo
This dude seems wholesome 🥲

I love clowns
We are all clowns
somehow saddness...
Pretty 👀🥳😊
he probably found another clown playing around
LOL I found the guy funny
i like clowns
The music makes this whole thing so weird. It’s like the guy’s trying the be funny but the music is giving this thoughtful melancholy feel. It doesn’t match at all.
Yeah, it makes him seem like a depressed clown.
Asssd Asssde When the clown’s narrating it seems like that. But they have clips of the clown just doing his act for like 30 seconds and the moods really seem to go against each other. I see what you’re saying though.
Baskets?
Nothing is serious : )

They are for adults either
