Here's a thought. Why not send Atlas into the atmosphere and then if it can move fly it over to Vacuo? The you got both academies side by side with Shade dealing with ground forces and Atlas dealing with air forces?
Who knows, maybe in Volume 8 they will go with this. This may be the main and this whole thing will happen gradually or slowly depending on how quickly the relic can move the whole kingdom and at the same time the heroes and citizens will struggle with constant grimm attacks that can reach them. It can be like a survive and hold them off for as long as possible until they reach their destination, and then at the end of the volume they reach or contact Vacuo and they come to the rescue or help fight the rest off.
There's also another thing about the dust in atlas. In the world of remnant episodes of dust, it loses power when leaving the atmosphere. so dust would be useless when in the atmosphere if they go too high. even the slightest bit above the atmosphere dust will turn off automatically.
I have a question. Since the way Ironwood describes his plan for Amity Tower in episode 2, it sounds like there is nothing new about Amity Tower in technological standards, but rather it is the Tower’s position in the upper atmosphere that allows it to bypass the other primary Towers located at each academy. So since Atlas already has a communications tower at the Academy, will Atlas being lifted into the atmosphere restore global communications itself?
at if James is playing the Long Con and had a Plan he shared only with Clover and maybe Robyn. He wants Salem to think he's gone Crazy but he's just carrying out with his Plan. His original plan of telling the world about Salem and then sending people remove the Grimm from Mantle? I know its a long shot but if he's gonna be redeemable then this is his best shot.
Ever since learning more about Salem there has always been one question I've felt was desperately in need of an answer. In Naruto Shippuden during the Kage Summit, Mifune asks the Kage why Madara bothered to go to the summit to ask for their surrender and then declare war. Mifune wondered if Madara was so powerful why didn't he just attack upfront. Mifune reasoned that there must be some risk involved. By the logic that Madara was worried about defeat that means there was a chance for the good guys to have a victory. Now i'm asking, why didn't the series start off with Salem's attack in season 1 episode 1. Obvious that wouldn't make for a very good show, but lets ignore that for now. If Salem can't be killed why hasn't she been leading armies of grimm to all of her enemies from the very beginning. RWBY has yet to define a reason why Salem would be worried about defeat, thus it makes no sense why she wouldn't just attack. So, my question is simple. Why wouldn't Atlas' army win a battle with Salem's army. Salem and her army can't be without weakness or she wouldn't have waited so long to join the battle herself.
You know, this kind of plays into the theory that I’ve always had. In season 6 when Djinn tells RWBY and Co what Ozpin knows, the lynchpin has always been the Q/A “How do I kill Salem?”/“You can’t.” My thinking as soon as I heard that for the first time was “what if the writers wrote it that way for the audience to deliberately misinterpret what was being said?” What I mean is this - what if, when Djinn said “you can’t (kill Salem)”, she didn’t mean that Salem couldn’t be killed, but she specifically meant that Ozpin himself couldn’t kill her? Because remember, Ozpin asked “How do I kill her?” And Djinn responded “You can’t.”
@@jdoggivjc I've thought this same thing ever since that reveal. it honestly shocked me that no one ever caught on to that in the show. Like Djin's are known to be misleading in most references. Its even played on that Djin is playful with her answers and coy. Why? idk juts a staple but still NO ONE has thought to ask how do WE stop Salem, or IF Salem is Immortal How do we stop her (if they want to try and get to answers for one).
DragonGod00 I think maybe Blake or someone made an offhand comment about it but it didn’t go anywhere, and that whole thing is frustrating me because it seems obvious
@RamdomAlpaca, it was in episode 6. It was Nora while ruby, ren, and nora were walking to the "victory" party. Remember they haven't had a chance to really catch a breather since then.
I said this on a previous video: if you follow the RWBY volumes represent seasons theory, this volume is meant to be Fall, where everything goes poorly. Last time we had this season Pyrrha died and Yang lost her arm.. I'm excited to see the finale but I'm honestly dreading it at the same time.
Wait hold on... RT said they're gonna be doing like 10 volumes in total, right? So which season will represent the end of RWBY? Volume 8- winter. Volume 9- spring. Volume 10 (if they are only 10) - *summer* *SUMMER*??? Just a hunch...so sth big is gonna happen relating to Ruby's mom?
Atlas, what amounts to the 'biggest' threat to Salem barring Ozpin, pretty much noping the fuck out and leaving the rest of humanity to die? Sounds like something Watts would come up with..
alternative: maybe not raise atlas into the atmosphere but move it to vacuo to qoute a song "What you don't understand is that it's better to die on your feet than to live on your knees You have it backwards. It's better to live on your feet than to die on your knees" Rwbys choice: die on your feet (stand and fight / hope for the best) Ironwoods choice: live on your knees (you left the world to die by salems hand and live "on your knees" cause you dont have any options left My alternative: live on your feet (take atlas, use ironwoods fleet to make a breach and regroup in vacuo) since both Rwbys and Ironwoods choice is more or less die on your knees (yourself or the world)
If Ironwood actually cared about the well-being of the people in Mantle enough to evacuate, I would have completely supported his plan. However, he was so focused on Atlas and the Relic that he forgot about what was important: the people of Remnant. Sacrificing everyone is exactly what Salem wants. Also, Salem has many grimm who can fly, which makes me think they could reach Atlas anyway even if it did take off into the atmosphere.
one issue with taking Shade Academy, assuming the Summer Maiden is there, is the Relic of Destruction itself. As far as we know this Relic is the only one with offensive abilities. If the Summer Maiden is at Shade Academy and they have a weapon that is basically a representation of Destruction, why wouldn't they use it? I mean for all we know the Relic could be able to destroy waves of Grimm within a single strike. And it isn't like there is any danger to this plan since if Shade Academy falls Salem gets the Relic anyways, might as well use the super weapon while you have it instead of keeping it locked away where you can't use it.
If Ironwood does manage to get Atlas up and away from Salem they don't need to stay up there for decades. Atlas is, supposedly, safe from grimm attacks. If so, then their army could then be redistributed over to the last remaining city on remnant to aid in it's defense. Now we have the communications tower back up, from the one already built into their academy. Communications are restored globally. Their full military might can be redistributed to other cities and they have an HQ safe from Salem. Granted, the writers are going to go with the "Team RWBY all the way" route i think. And not make them wrong about their choices. But its not like the only options are forever leave remnant or stand and fight to the death. Retreat with what they can now, saddly Mantle dies. And then make all haste to the last remaining city. If Salem immediately diverts to attack it, Ironwood can give them a warning before hand. And potentially strike from behind or above if they attempt to use force on the final city. Overall, its a good plan for choosing a way least likely to lose the war. And probably the reason the General decided on it. He is actually being rather rational. Sure, he has his moments where he gets overwhelmed like we saw a few moments earlier. But when Salem came out, he wasn't cowering or out of control. Things got so dire that he snapped back into the present and side stepped to try and get outta the way of the immortal witch with magic, who was coming with an unknown army.
Amity isn’t ready so there won’t be a way to contact the other kingdoms if they just abandon mantle. Plus, they need resources from Mantle, which is about to be fucked and he’s still leaving it behind. His plan is very very flawed. RWBY’s plan is definitely flawed too but it has a much higher chance of favorable outcomes
Is using the Relic of Creation to create a shield to enclose both Mantle and Atlas feasible or will digging/tunneling Grimm prevent this from working? Otherwise using the Relic of Creation to raise Amity Tower assuming the communications function of the tower is completed sounds good to me. Personally though, if it were up to me I would take the Relic of Creation out of the vault and load them onto an Atlesian military transport along with the Relic of Knowledge in a separate vehicle in order to draw and pick off Salem's forces away form Mantle and Atlas by going out into the tundra. During which Ironwood can order his forces to complete Amity Tower and upon its completion they place the Relic of Knowledge in the tower to make it float away while placing the Relic of Creation back into the vault but, using it to create a barrier or force field around Mantle and Atlas to shield them from Salem's remaining forces that were not picked off. But, what do you think?
I'd say standing and fighting is the only option. Because if altlas did leave, she's not gonna stop there. Even if his plan work she's probably either gonna wait it out or find a way to reach atlas and the relic in the atmosphere. Even if Atlas is gonna fly to another kingdom and possibly to vacuo, there's gonna be tensions between the two since half of remnant believes that Atlas is responsible for the fall of beacon and they wouldn't be able to work together even if they tried cooperating. Especially since there are racists in Atlas and Vacuo is not a big fan of that since they only care that if you survivor, you're welcome to Vacuo, Qrow said that in the world of remnant videos by the way. Plus there are arrogance among the atlesian people who are wealthy and prefer others working for them than doing labor themselves, it won't make any difference. She's really bent on bringing the relics together to see her plan come to fruition one way or another. The best course of action to prevent this and any other possibility of her victory from becoming reality is for them to stay and fight back. I know they're in a disarray right now but, team rwby, jnr, and the others are still in Solitas and whether they like it or not they're the best they've got.
There is a possibility that penny (being based on Pinocchio) using the relic of creation, could become completely human and obtain the winter maiden powers. If you made a video discussing this itd be great
I do see several flaws. 1) and the elephant in the room, the flying harambe flock (I forgot the name so I've been calling them that) 2) even if it works, it would make Atlas look like cowards and the other kingdoms won't trust them again
Other (minor) flaws include (as mentioned) Resources, stock, and overall supplies. Like, Ironwood, you're not stupid, you should know this more than anyone
@@justabossman6147 As seen in episode 12, the stupidity factor has affected quite a few people who normally are not stupid. I'm afraid James is not immune.
Well what is going to happen to remnant now since Atlas Fell? I mean it provided all technology stuff and Dust companies, how are they gonna proceed from here?
My theory. I think Oscar or Ironwood will remove the staff of creation but before that control Atlas flight to land it on top of Salem's forces after they arrive, putting Atlas between Mantle and the remaining surviving forces of Salem. Oscar said a city in the sky is held to a higher standard. Defending the weak or self sacrifice is a higher standard.
If Ironwood did get Atlis into the atmosphere, the rest of the kingdoms will never ally themselves with Atlis agin. Vale and Mistral will act as though Atlis doesn’t exist anymore and even if Atlis somehow were to ask help from them for things like dust and living supplies they will just ignore it. Then there’s Vacuo, I feel like once they hear/see that Atlis turned tail and ran, they will do everything in their power to get Atlis back down to ground level and force them to fight. (Also not really on topic but I feel like talking about it, if Vacuo was attacked by a grimm army they would use every person possible to fight off the attack, huntsman, students, civilians who can use a weapon(my guess most of them), and all the violent criminals they have locked up.)
I have a question about Vaccuo. So, Ozpin is the wizard of Oz, Salem is the evil Witch of the east, Lionheart was the lion (without courage) and Ironwood is the tinman (without a heart). Will this lead to Theodore being the scarecrow but without any brains?! They will stop Ironwood, but i'm not sure what will happen afterwards.
Just watched your video on Glinda and the relic of choice. You should look at the symbol on her (Glinda's) cape it's a nice crown. If only there was a connection...
Probably someone already asked in the comments, but I'm too lazy to read them all, so here it goes: if Atlas does succeed in rising above the atmosphere, won't they run out of supplies sooner or later as far as food or other raw materials are concerned, thus meaning that they would need to make trips to the land on a regular basis, and therefore, opening themselves to Salem's mercy? Also, since Salem hasn't shown the full extent of her power, how can Ironwood be so certain that Salem's grims won't be able to reach him there?
First, I think it's more than likely one of Jaunes sisters is the Summer Maiden. Next, I don't know how you do it, but you always come up with great theories. Great job
There is something I have been wondering about when jin said that oz can't beat Salem some people have said that maybe ruby can do something with her silver eyes but now that is has been confirmed Summer and Salem have met in the past and Summer I believe had Silver eyes I assume she would try and use that power against Salem and if that is the case what makes ruby any different then her mother The only thing I can think of is Summer had the silver eyes but couldn't activate that power based on what qrow said about the fact ruby had silver eyes and could use that power seems to have angered some really powerful people makes it seem like having the silver eyes doesn't guarantee you can use the power
Do you think you could release a video discussing your favorite fan-made ideas for what should be done about the upcoming grimm army? Just to see what ideas people are coming up with and your opinion of them.
The maidens thing is understandable because Salem is immortal. As in she technically has control of Becon right now. If nothing goes wrong there is nothing the Huntsman can do to get near the academy so I see it as the relics being close to the maidens in case they need to be moved so that Salem cant just overun an area around a vault then wait for her chance to claim the maiden powers later.
To be fair, they could have dust mining operations on the ground and just send ships up and down to bring dust to Atlas, meaning it would never have to come down, which they were probably already doing. That is a big weakness though, as their airships are how Neo and Cinder got there in the first place.
Even if they take atlas to atmosphere, can't Salem just do a world war Z scenerio and stake a lot of grim on top of one another until the reach enough to get atlas down. Or just use magic to get them down but my first sound much cooler.
If ya think about it hard enough ironwood would probably figure a way to make atlas a moving city which could help if they do succeed in raising the whole plain to the atmosphere , he could move the whole city closer to the other kindom for help and maybe in return the kindom could provide dust
Honestly, I feel as if having Penny with the Winter maiden powers is a good plan. Have her fly away from Atlas. With the Maiden powers, they can't obtain the relic.
Not the topic but still Cinder is trying to get to the winter maiden powers right now,but what if she gets them and dies? Will the thought person get both maiden powerd or will the winter one randomize
now there's a thought. Penny, clutching and being powered by the Staff, Rocketing off at speeds likely to seem from the ground as if she just disappeared. huh. I'd call that a very good possibility.
Hey Phoenix/Night, you've mentioned a lot of good reasons as to why Atlas amending further up the atmosphere would be a bad idea in the long run. Since Vacuo was been mentioned alot in this video, I been developing have a theory as to what will happen if Salem turned her attention to that kingdom. I've noticed a pattern in the approaches that each of the Headmasters we've already seen in the series toward Salem. Ozpin seemed content with fighting her in secret due to believing that it is his responsibility to stop her, no-one else (seen how that went) Lionheart chose to submit to Salem out of fear for his life, granting her minions easy access to the kingdom of Mistral. Then we got Ironwood, who in my opinion has been the most affected by her but refuses to cave in. Instead chooses to get his Kingdom and the relics as far away from Salem as possible rather than stand and fight. That lives us with Theodore, the Headmaster of Shade Academy. Here's what I think will happen. That school's vault hides the Sword of Destruction. If Salem brings her army to Vacuo, pushing the defending all the way back to the city itself for a one last stand, either: a) Theodore will allow the Summer Maiden or one his most trusted Huntsman/Huntress to be armed with the relic. Which would boost defenders morale at the risk of the person being targeted by Salem's minions. or: b) Use it as a last resort doomsday device. Depending on how powerful it really is, but I bet it could destroy the whole of Remnant if it were say plunged into the planet core. Obviously the latter option is the most extreme and even if Salem were to survive the destruction of Remnant (putting her immortality to the ultimate test) should she force Theodore to commit this act. She will end up losing everything. All that time spent preparing and diving Humanity for nothing. I think this was why she originally wanted to go after Vacuo next until Hazel informed her about Ozpin leading team RWBY to Atlas. What do you think? Would be cool to see a vid on this.
If Atlas can move across continents and head to Vacuo while away from Salam's reach, then maybe Ironwood has the better choice. Technically speaking, abandoning Mantle would be immoral but a necessary risk in that sense. But if not and can only stay in one position, then all your theories are plausible.
essentially, if the four relics are brought together in anything but the Final Scene Of The Show, as the crowning achievement of restraining Salem and her forces & having reunited the peoples of Remnant, whereupon the gods arrive, see that all is good and remove their curses from Salem and Oz to let them live out life as normal human beings, as they all start on a life much like the one before Salem was freed from her 'captivity'. (I'd really like a better description of how she ended up there and what, exactly, kept her there.)
I think the conclusion one can draw from Ironwoo'd's plan is that if he goes through with it, there won't be a world left to save. Remnant would be doomed to fall to Salem. And how long would the Atlesians be able to stay out of her reach? A year? Two years? How long before there's a Grimm that can fly high and fast enough to reach Atlas? How do we know there isn't one already?
All of the schools doubled as CCTs right? so they don’t even technically need to build anything just modify or it would just work off the bat. (Obviously I’m not certain but that would make sense to me)
Okay second question related to the vaults. How were they created? They appear to be portals leading into the path of the dead. So how did Ozma access these? Could creation have to do with it? The doors I figure were created by the maidens themselves. So how were the relics kept prior the the founding of the schools? Atlas did not exist prior to the war. So the vault there would have had to been made into Atlas and risen up likely by the King of Vale. Since James stressed it as Ozpin in a former life. But at the same time there is evidence suggesting the relics were always held by the four kingdoms as when the king ended the war. He used the sword and crown. The sceptor was green like him while the sword and crown were gold. Interesting that the relics he used would be the very relics held by his own kingdom and that of his ally Vacuo. Suggesting he may not have been able to access knowledge or creation with them hidden by enemy kingdoms. That is speculation but food for thought.
Yeet Salem to space third option Also I thought the Relic was powering the life support systems as well Fourth option yeet the relics into space then beside the madein Salem wouldn’t care for atlas
@@techissus7449 actually it could probably work in a similar way to kars' defeat, since Salem would just be a floating rock unable to move through space
We already know it’s not actually gonna happen. The moment Ironwood said he was going to lift Atlas into space I knew the writers just made up the plan without much thought. Like the idea is so ridiculous you know that’s not how the story is going to pan out. It’s like hearing someone say they’ll give you a million dollars if you wash their car for them. The claim is so ridiculous you immediately know they’re joking, but in this case the person telling you this actually expects you to take the claim seriously.
I'm one of the few who doesn't think the claim is ridiculous (though I think it won't happen) so I'm not exactly sure why everyone think it is? Like what parts specifically?
INDIGO BLUEoO well for one thing the whole plan came out of nowhere. This is like building a house and then suddenly being told you now gotta build a skyscraper. Their are so many things that need to be addressed before you could do something like this, but the way Ironwood just says he’ll do it out of the blue is incredibly ridiculous.
@@lookinforgoodshowsz the city is floating in the first place, let's not act like making it go higher is some absurdly thought of feat. not saying it'll work, i'm just saying it's not as crazy as you guys are trying to make it seem lol.
@BringingTheHell It's not making the city fly higher that's the problem that's just mechanics. What the problem is that he is pulling the idea out of nowhere and has absolutely 0 logistics for a completely isolationist sky island. While the staff will keep the city flying all their other technology runs on dust which must be mined from the ground. No dust means no heating, bullets, power for the artificial environment letting them all breath, fuel for that fleet of flying bricks. Then there's the civil unrest that will lead to civil war in atlas when people realize how many were left to die and start fighting over limited recourses like food, water, dust, housing, and just plain old fashioned rage. But even if Ironwood can slog on despite all of the above Salem will just tack her army to shade academy steal the summer maiden power and get the sword of destruction to blow atlas out of the sky. And even with out the sword the idea that Salem couldn't make a super grimm to reach them after they are exhausted or just go herself is very likely. Also Ironwood seems to believe that Salem can't be stopped which we all know is not true if it was she would have won centuries if not millennia ago. Also as a personal question how do we get the names of other commenters to link like you did with my name in your comment I can't seem to do that?
If they do go the original route of giving the staff to Penny, in order to raise Amity up and get the Relic out of harms way, then give her the lamp to take as well. Ruby spent an entire season carrying it on her belt, so why cant Penny take it with her as well. They get global communications back up and TWO relics are safe. Penny technically doesn't need to "breathe", I don't think, so she can survive in the upper atmosphere to do this.
Ok, new plan, grab the relic of creation and use it to create four building sized guardian golems that each utilize one of the kinds of elemental dust, have them help deal with the incoming army and once the fight is done send them off to each kingdom so there is a guardian protecting the capital of each kingdom from future large scale grimm attack. Another idea is to create a small army of 100 to 200 yoga ball sized flying eyeball like creatures that can periodically release the silver eyes blast of light to kill/petrify grimm they come across, release them during the inrush of grimm and have them deal with some of the horde, then after the battle let them traverse throughout remnant and tell people they’re a new bread of anti-grimm birds(or something).
I wonder will this possible: If Ruby's silver eyes can be powered by Juane and Juane can be powered by the Staff of Creation, will that make such combo become a Grim Nuke? If it worked, Salem's invading army will be pushed back, Cinder will be cripple because she's partially grim, and so we have sometime to succeed. Of course it will have to be working. We never see it worked.
however is going to happen in the season finale, it's most likely that atlas will fall, and that vacuo will be the last stand to fight against salem's forces, and ironwood, even though he still needs to be stopped before he risks the lives of, not just the people of mantle, but the people of atlas as well, if I remember correctly from the world or remnant videos, Dust doesn't work outside of remnants atmosphere, so in other words, he's going to get all of the atlesian's killed by then, but hopefully, ruby and company will stop him before he risks the lives of both mantle and atlas, the question what they'll do after, I've no idea.
The Summer maiden would be difficult due to the environment of Vacuo and the Summer maiden would be just as free as raven while still working with Theodore (shade academy headmaster)
You know...swapping the maidens around with different continents is actually a very good idea, even if someone captures the maiden and forces the maiden to open the relic door on the continent they are currently on they would be unable to do so. Not to mention the four maidens are pretty much the same in all honesty with no differences what so ever. So even trying to differentiate the maidens would be a nightmare to do so. if RWBY had actually done this,it would have made salem's plan on absorbing the maiden's powers a pretty smart plan.
Main point of any struggle with Salem at this point would have to be destroying that whale. that Portable Grimm-Pool. so long as she got that, I don't see them putting much of a dent in things.
I think Salem's army is overstated. If she had the ability to raise an army in record time that could take out Remnant's most powerful military, then she wouldn't have needed Cinder's three-fold attack in Beacon. To ensure that just Beacon fell, Cinder judged that they needed the Grimm, the White Fang _and_ Ironwood's army fighting against the defenders, so why does Atlas only need the Grimm?
I'd also like closer description of whether anyone has actually TRIED to destroy Kevin. and if not, why not. if they did, what happened? People want to know; WHY, if so strong people are working there to this day...IS That Thing Still There??
Sending people down from Atlas to the surface to go on dangerous missions to obtain dust and bring it back. Sounds like a cool concept. Maybe add mechs.
I get the feeling that Salem's determination to obtain the atlesian relics will drive her to create space-travel-capable Grimm and then overrun Atlas and send them falling. She'd then search through the wreckage to find the relic, reclaim (SPOLERS FOR EPISODE 13!) Cinder's relic and restore her subordinate to her prior place, and then finally head out for Vaccuo. Once Vaccuo falls, she'd then have to find the relic of choice, but the theory I have is that both the relic of choice AND the relic of destruction are in the vault in Shade Academy. Only time will tell where the relic of choice IS, but my prevailing theory is that all four will be gathered to summon the brothers and they will end the reign of Salem in its tracks. The only remaining question I pose: Can Salem's plan to summon the gods be foiled if either A) all of Remnant is united against HER or B) all of the relics are held by the one person who can become the "Defendant of Remnant" on Judgement Day: Ruby Rose?
I deffinently see Ironwoods point of view . After everything that has happened from constant attacks on mantle and now on his kingdom he fears that Salem will get the Relic and by raising it higher it would keep it from reach yet also even though we all know that I believe he is panicking at this point Which is understandable of not trying to betray remnant like lionheart but buying time for remnant I guess yet over all I say Team Rwby and Alpn have the best Idea in fighting back . So Yeah Awsome Theory video And SALEM ONLY BRINGS DECEASE AND FAMINE ! Aka ask OZMA Lol
EXACTLY I been saying this for so long. They need to lower atlas and stand and fight. They raise atlas salem may get the relic atlas will fall on to mantle and depending on how high that could take out all of mantle plus any surrounding villages around in it. Evacuate all of mantle lower atlas stay and fight
Bernie the Horse Atlas has the strongest military power. They have the defense. Atlas is going to get attacked either way no matter how high they go cinder will find a way to reach atlas. The best chance the have is to stand and fight or buy time so the civilians could get out of mantle and atlas
@@SHP4Life still I doubt they would be able to kill all the Grimm even with Ruby remember she couldn't kill the Leviathan or the wyvern and that whale is many times the size of them
Depending on how long Ironwood gets to stay in power, and maintain his lunacy, he may not consider Atlas remaining up in the atmosphere FOREVER a bad thing. Regardless that it will end up doing so covered in human corpses. I don't see him caring at this point. If anything, he may arrange to Fire the staff into space proper and count on some people surviving the Fall. staff forever out of anyone's reach, Salem permanently thwarted,...commence human eradication by enraged Grimm. As by that point, Salems only option is waiting until the sun explodes. or whatever else may happen to destroy the planet Beforetime. interesting curiouso...if some space anomaly ruins Remnant beyond repair, flinging all and sundry into space or burying them under tons of wreckage...will it be enough? or will Salem spend eternity floating through the Remnant-universe's version of the Universe? Ah. I remember now. it will be enough to simply stop the planet's spin. When it no longer turns, she can die. begs the question...will the staff, alone or in conjunction with other relics, be able to momentarily stop the planet's spin for the span of time required to cut her throat, without sending everything tumbling into space anyway? :)
Maybe so much of humanity will fall and what's left will have no choice but to stand together, technically fulfilling the "humanity must be united" rule
What if Salem isn’t on her way to atlas? She wanted to force ironwood to react in a predictable manner. What if her, hazel, emerald, Mercury, and the flying monkeys are on their way to vacuo. Then the next season will be a race back to Beacon to get the relic that Oz has hidden. Salem doesn’t need the relics. She needs them to not be used against her. So ironwood taking atlas in the sky solves that problem for a long time
My real question is. What does the staff of creation actually do? The wiki seems to state it can perform one impossible feat. Though there is no source for this. Is the ability to create limitless energy the extent of it's power? One must wonder how the vaults were created. Assuming each vault taps into the space leading into the afterlife. How was this achieved in each area and how were the doors holding the relics made? Was this the maidens themselves? The doors would make sense. But the space they sit in is another. So what else can the staff do is up in the air. Also is like to point out that the maiden powers can't go to Cinder naturally. She can only suck them out. Whole reason she got the Shadow hand to begin with is to draw out the power of the other 3 maidens. As the maiden power is designed to not stay with a maiden nor should the power transfer to another who is already a maiden naturally. And Ofcourse we have to wonder if Salem is really there at all. We havnt seen her forces yet. She goes and gives this warning and heightens his paranoia. Long range sensors that could indeed have been shut down by Watts to give the impression Salem is coming. Could Salem being going to Vacuo? Is this why Vacuo is being explored in detail in the books? Because we won't get the chance to see it because Salem's army may be headed there. Lots of possibilities.
Ello, Phoenix. I honestly see both sides of this. I don't think those going to the sky would come back "not because they figured out how run things with out dust." But rather... Ironwood would just start shutting off life support to not needed personal/civilians. Remnant would fall but I can't see ironwood if he is alive, letting any one return atlis to the ground. Instead the city would slowly turn in to a ghost town in the heaven. If they stand and fight it's gonna be a hard fight and likely they will lose. Though he might be able to save a lot of people and even possible take down cinder.
What's to say the staff wont suddenly stop working once its in the upper atmosphere plus I agree having someone take the staff and leaving would be a good idea plus rwby can flee with the lamp and in my opinion the lamp is the most dangerous of them all potentially
Out of all the plans that Ironwood has this is definitely the worst one of all. Isn't dust supposed to shutdown once it reach space? Unless he doesn't mean literally take Atlas to space but maybe move out of the continent.
@@adonaimelles2317 Okay I guess that does make more sense but it still a stupid plan though. If Salem can make a Leviathan Grimm then she can possibly make a Grimm that can survive the atmosphere.

I'm gonna toss my 2 cents into the ring and see what happens. To succeed, several things need to happen. 1. the surface of Atlas would need to be sealed off from the public -The higher you go up, the less air there is to breath -more solar radiation from the sun with the thin atmosphere -if they aren't careful, they could fling Atlas out of the atmosphere and end up in space. 2. Materials, Dust, and Tech would need to be reused in the creation of the new communication tower -No access to the ground = No access to dust mines or depots -Abandoning Mantle means abandoning dust processing equipment as well -With clear class divides between Mantle and Atlas, the needed unity between the two will dramatically slow what process needs to get underway to even start making Atlas into a communication hub for all of Remnant 3. Keep birthrate at 1 to 1 ratio at all times to stave off overpopulation -Until they develop tech to transport people out of the floating city, Atlas will need to become a highly regulated military asset. -As of right now, both part of Mantle and Atlas is on the floating city. That population will need to be locked in place. -Peoples lives will need to be heavily monitored and scheduled to keep the citizens alive. Conclusion: To keep everyone alive, Ironwood would have to overthrow everyone and stage a coup. Martial law would be declared permanently to force this new reality onto the citizens of Atlas and Mantle. Highest possibility of total collapse is around ~89% within the first few months in the planet's Exosphere.
Knowing that the episodes of this volume can get as far as less than 19 minutes (mostly), I believe a different scenario would ensue. I predict from my belief that Salem isn't going to attack Atlas. Given that she has the ability to appear herself publicly from a grimm forced to die, she could just say 'fire' and everyone would panic immediately - albeit the circumstance of seeing magic for the first time or realizing there is a grimm leader is suprising enough. Now, the reason that she would lie from this is simple - attacking Vacuo while Atlas citizens and militants are saving their own skin. Even if the coastal defenses are destroyed (by Watts, I'm sure) Atlas military can still defend themselves properly, Vacuo doesn't have that much to protect themselves. She'll be able to wipe out Vacuo easily while the biggest military in Remnant are sheltering themselves because of a 'scare' She declared on them.
Mindflare. Ironwood might not want to wait to take on more people...because he already plans to let the ones in Atlas die to safeguard the relic. I don't think he has much issue taking a city to it's death(including his own) if it means Salem can Never Win. His job will have been done to perfection. so, yeah. if Atlas goes up...it ain't coming down short of the people rising up to throw Ironwood over the edge first.
The picture of Penny and Winter onscreen at 12:46 had me thinking: can Penny become a maiden? On the one hand, she does have aura and sentience, and she is a young woman. On the other, her body is artificial and her aura comes from a man. But do the maiden powers care about birth sex or gender identity? Because that also calls into question May since she's trans.
Question Is Remnant a Country or no? Because if it isn't then other countries could be aware of the problem that's currently takes place. It's probably not a Country but I feel that if it was then things would be 100% more interesting
Khy's Upcoming I thought is was a world/continent, and they haven’t mentioned any external entities outside if the kingdoms, and I don’t think it would make much sense if there was
The dragon continent isn't far from Atlas, I keep wondering, how far exactly is Salem? If this chapter ends without them attacking I'd be really bothered. They come crashing down and are met with her army is the least I'm hoping for. Also WTCH, or rather Watts, dropped a hint of Vacuo like as what would happen if Ironwood came to his senses and called upon the aid of Vacuo...makes me wonder a lot about that kingdom As for best choice, there really isn't one. If I had to pick one I'm still staying with my same choice to gtfo cuz no one is in shape to fight, standing and fighting, especially now with the ops taken down, is a really bad choice. Above anyone else Ironwood needs to breath and get his head on straight out of this stress...take her on on their own terms and all on the same side
Are we just going to ignore the fact that Cinder just thinks the maiden Powers will just go with her they were made for one specific season for each person doesn't she realize that if doing so she could self implode and cause a big explosion and cause probably nuclear winter I mean Salem probably knows this but the question is why isn't she stopping her maybe to teach her a lesson who knows but I highly doubt Cinder is going to get the meeting powers
Also am I going crazy or do I think the alarm is going to have a new outfit when she arrives because I don't think she's going to be wearing a dress in a fight maybe a skin-tight bodysuit with grim armour that be cool
From the beginning Salem wants to divide humanity. The simple soul needed to unite them is often thought to be Ruby, but we don't know that will be the case. Elevating Atlas will NOT restore communications since Remnant is a globe and so the only thing it does for sure is divide humanity. This is just what Salem wants.

Here's a thought. Why not send Atlas into the atmosphere and then if it can move fly it over to Vacuo? The you got both academies side by side with Shade dealing with ground forces and Atlas dealing with air forces?
SpaceBanana that’s actually a smart idea

I completely forgot about that. So everyone is doomed

@@InfamousAtom doesn't Atlas have climate Tech to stop that from happening?
@@InfamousAtom Ironwood specifically said "Atlas's artificial climate will keep citizens and food supplies safe".
:O
That's was what I was thinking when he said the plan. Atlas would still be safe(?), be able to restore communications and get help.

@@StarlightAxi Well, its just a thought
Remember they haven't had a chance to really catch a breather since then.

this joke's a real yanger. Weiss would say it slaps
alternative:
maybe not raise atlas into the atmosphere but move it to vacuo
to qoute a song
"What you don't understand is that it's better to die on your feet than to live on your knees
You have it backwards. It's better to live on your feet than to die on your knees"
Rwbys choice: die on your feet (stand and fight / hope for the best)
Ironwoods choice: live on your knees (you left the world to die by salems hand and live "on your knees" cause you dont have any options left
My alternative: live on your feet (take atlas, use ironwoods fleet to make a breach and regroup in vacuo)
since both Rwbys and Ironwoods choice is more or less die on your knees (yourself or the world)
Well they could move it over to vacuo while still high enough in the atmosphere to not be affected by grimm
Atlas that high up I can imagine being a mobile fortress city in itself. Like Avenger in X Com 2.
Before watching ur video I want to tell you that I love ur job and enjoy waitting with u until the finale on Saturday (probably the day we all suffer)

If you made a video discussing this itd be great
Called penny getting the maiden powers!!!!!!!!!
I do see several flaws.
1) and the elephant in the room, the flying harambe flock (I forgot the name so I've been calling them that)
2) even if it works, it would make Atlas look like cowards and the other kingdoms won't trust them again
Other (minor) flaws include (as mentioned) Resources, stock, and overall supplies. Like, Ironwood, you're not stupid, you should know this more than anyone

So its a no win situation where Salem benefits if Atlas goes into the air and if they don't they die to Salems army of grimm
So does tin man remember that dust becomes useless once it's high enough in the atmosphere?
only when it leaves the atmosphere into space
Didn't he say that Atlas is floating thanks to the Relic of Creation?
Well what is going to happen to remnant now since Atlas Fell? I mean it provided all technology stuff and Dust companies, how are they gonna proceed from here?
My theory. I think Oscar or Ironwood will remove the staff of creation but before that control Atlas flight to land it on top of Salem's forces after they arrive, putting Atlas between Mantle and the remaining surviving forces of Salem. Oscar said a city in the sky is held to a higher standard. Defending the weak or self sacrifice is a higher standard.
If it doesn’t and Salem wins in her attack, he will have divided humanity for nothing.
damn ironwood is pulling a brexit with atlas
Leaving Salem Merkel and her 3rd Grimm Reich
Qrow is the Scarecrow apparently
No, he's *A Crow*. Also, he's smarter than most of the other characters.
Ironwoods plan is going to back fire I just know it. Hope the new communication tower gets working
First, I think it's more than likely one of Jaunes sisters is the Summer Maiden. Next, I don't know how you do it, but you always come up with great theories. Great job
There is something I have been wondering about when jin said that oz can't beat Salem some people have said that maybe ruby can do something with her silver eyes but now that is has been confirmed Summer and Salem have met in the past and Summer I believe had Silver eyes I assume she would try and use that power against Salem and if that is the case what makes ruby any different then her mother
The only thing I can think of is Summer had the silver eyes but couldn't activate that power based on what qrow said about the fact ruby had silver eyes and could use that power seems to have angered some really powerful people makes it seem like having the silver eyes doesn't guarantee you can use the power
Makes sense it just like with aura and semblances. I mean if someone learns how to use aura doesn't automatic gives them a semblance too.
I'm still calling War for the next volume.

Marrow his name is Marrow
Wolfie Your first idea would be amazing to see ngl
Why not move Atlas to Vacuo? Combine forces and fight Salem?
If ya think about it hard enough ironwood would probably figure a way to make atlas a moving city which could help if they do succeed in raising the whole plain to the atmosphere , he could move the whole city closer to the other kindom for help and maybe in return the kindom could provide dust
Honestly, I feel as if having Penny with the Winter maiden powers is a good plan. Have her fly away from Atlas. With the Maiden powers, they can't obtain the relic.
Then Salem just kills them all and hunts down penny
Does ironwood know where he wants to send the city doesn't have much air to breathe?
Not the topic but still
Cinder is trying to get to the winter maiden powers right now,but what if she gets them and dies?
Ozpin seemed content with fighting her in secret due to believing that it is his responsibility to stop her, no-one else (seen how that went)
Lionheart chose to submit to Salem out of fear for his life, granting her minions easy access to the kingdom of Mistral.
If Salem brings her army to Vacuo, pushing the defending all the way back to the city itself for a one last stand, either:
a) Theodore will allow the Summer Maiden or one his most trusted Huntsman/Huntress to be armed with the relic. Which would boost defenders morale at the risk of the person being targeted by Salem's minions. or:
b) Use it as a last resort doomsday device.
But for the second one, all of remnant would be nothing so in essence team Ozpin would lose because everyone would be dead
That's correct. Everyone will lose basically, including Salem.
If Atlas can move across continents and head to Vacuo while away from Salam's reach, then maybe Ironwood has the better choice.
Technically speaking, abandoning Mantle would be immoral but a necessary risk in that sense.
But if not and can only stay in one position, then all your theories are plausible.
Why go up, if you can move sideways?
I’m expecting Ruby to use the staff and use a powerful Silver Eye blast to turn the army to stone
essentially, if the four relics are brought together in anything but the Final Scene Of The Show, as the crowning achievement of restraining Salem and her forces & having reunited the peoples of Remnant, whereupon the gods arrive, see that all is good and remove their curses from Salem and Oz to let them live out life as normal human beings, as they all start on a life much like the one before Salem was freed from her 'captivity'.
I was really hoping to see Winter as the Winter maiden😩

I've been asking around, but I'm very curious for your opinion, Phoenix. Are Eps. 11 &12 of this season base-breakers for the Fandom--again?
If they do go the original route of giving the staff to Penny, in order to raise Amity up and get the Relic out of harms way, then give her the lamp to take as well. Ruby spent an entire season carrying it on her belt, so why cant Penny take it with her as well. They get global communications back up and TWO relics are safe. Penny technically doesn't need to "breathe", I don't think, so she can survive in the upper atmosphere to do this.
I don't get how you get "alpine" out of "JNOR"
(Jaune)Arc Lie(REN) (Oscar)Pine Nora(Valkyrie)
I wonder will this possible:
If Ruby's silver eyes can be powered by Juane and Juane can be powered by the Staff of Creation, will that make such combo become a Grim Nuke?
Why can't Salem reach it up there anyway?
Maybe add mechs.
i think penny could make it to shade vacuo to warn them. so suprise probably wouldnt be a huge deal. still dont think they could survive salem though
That's a horrible idea how the hell would they manage to beat Salem and her army?
Bernie the Horse Atlas has the strongest military power. They have the defense. Atlas is going to get attacked either way no matter how high they go cinder will find a way to reach atlas. The best chance the have is to stand and fight or buy time so the civilians could get out of mantle and atlas
@@slauter1939 Salem's immortal and Atlas military has been weakened
@Bernie the Horse- she’s immortal not her army. You don’t need to kill a immortal to win.
Maybe so much of humanity will fall and what's left will have no choice but to stand together, technically fulfilling the "humanity must be united" rule
theory dust is just fossils of the death people who could use magie giving the fossils a magical element thoughts ?
I actually like that
What if Salem isn’t on her way to atlas? She wanted to force ironwood to react in a predictable manner. What if her, hazel, emerald, Mercury, and the flying monkeys are on their way to vacuo. Then the next season will be a race back to Beacon to get the relic that Oz has hidden.
Salem doesn’t need the relics. She needs them to not be used against her. So ironwood taking atlas in the sky solves that problem for a long time
Personally i would in Ironwoods position move Atlas but not i'd go across to Vacuo as its the most stable right now and its people are quite tough
Didnt dust come from the moon?
Awesome info
Out of all the plans that Ironwood has this is definitely the worst one of all. Isn't dust supposed to shutdown once it reach space? Unless he doesn't mean literally take Atlas to space but maybe move out of the continent.
@@adonaimelles2317 Okay I guess that does make more sense but it still a stupid plan though. If Salem can make a Leviathan Grimm then she can possibly make a Grimm that can survive the atmosphere.
8:59 That's what I Theories when I was wondering which Kingdoms has a Maiden and which has a Relic this what I thought.
Fall and knowledge: in Vale
Spring and Creation: in Mistral
Winter and destruction: in Atlas
Summer and Choice: in Vacuo
There are so many things you got wrong i dont even bother to tell you
@@theultimateracist3037 this was before vol 4-5 When Qrow told about the Maidens and Relics and I Theories which Kingdoms might have Them Back off😑😑😒😒😒❌❌❌❌
I'm gonna toss my 2 cents into the ring and see what happens.
To succeed, several things need to happen.
1. the surface of Atlas would need to be sealed off from the public
-The higher you go up, the less air there is to breath
-more solar radiation from the sun with the thin atmosphere
-if they aren't careful, they could fling Atlas out of the atmosphere and end up in space.
2. Materials, Dust, and Tech would need to be reused in the creation of the new communication tower
-No access to the ground = No access to dust mines or depots
-Abandoning Mantle means abandoning dust processing equipment as well
-With clear class divides between Mantle and Atlas, the needed unity between the two will dramatically slow what process needs to get underway to even start making Atlas into a communication hub for all of Remnant
3. Keep birthrate at 1 to 1 ratio at all times to stave off overpopulation
-Until they develop tech to transport people out of the floating city, Atlas will need to become a highly regulated military asset.
-As of right now, both part of Mantle and Atlas is on the floating city. That population will need to be locked in place.
-Peoples lives will need to be heavily monitored and scheduled to keep the citizens alive.
Conclusion:
To keep everyone alive, Ironwood would have to overthrow everyone and stage a coup.
Question
Is Remnant a Country or no? Because if it isn't then other countries could be aware of the problem that's currently takes place. It's probably not a Country but I feel that if it was then things would be 100% more interesting
Khy's Upcoming I thought is was a world/continent, and they haven’t mentioned any external entities outside if the kingdoms, and I don’t think it would make much sense if there was
The dragon continent isn't far from Atlas, I keep wondering, how far exactly is Salem? If this chapter ends without them attacking I'd be really bothered. They come crashing down and are met with her army is the least I'm hoping for.
Also WTCH, or rather Watts, dropped a hint of Vacuo like as what would happen if Ironwood came to his senses and called upon the aid of Vacuo...makes me wonder a lot about that kingdom
As for best choice, there really isn't one.
@That sorta irish guy 🤣🤣🤣
meant salem
From the beginning Salem wants to divide humanity. The simple soul needed to unite them is often thought to be Ruby, but we don't know that will be the case. Elevating Atlas will NOT restore communications since Remnant is a globe and so the only thing it does for sure is divide humanity. This is just what Salem wants.
I think they should go after the relic of choice and then use it to their advantage like they are with the relic of Creation
Asks the relic of creation
