- Kayak fishing for dinner and hammock camping on an island sounds like the perfect weekend to me! I loaded up my camping gear and fishing tackle but didn't bring food so it's up to us to catch and cook our meals. Kayaking through the rocks and rapids became a struggle and the snags while fishing the current were frequent but we managed to have a fun trip and land a few good fish for the dinner table. like and subscribe for more catch and cook videos!

Blake, I don't fish or go camping, but I do like watching other people do it. I caught my first fish when I was about 6 years old at a pond my Uncle Frankie Phillips had on his farm in Winder, GA & that was about 1961! I had my feet up against a cinder block to keep me from being drug in the water just in case that was a huge fish. I can't recall what type of fish it was or the size, but I'm sure I was mighty proud of it & was even more proud that I caught it at my Uncle Frankie's pond. He was my mama's older brother & we always had fun when we went to see him & his wife, Nellie. My mama's younger brother, Roy, lived across the road, with his wife, Dot & their two son's, Tommy & Wayne. Now Roy, Tommy & Wayne loved to fish & they still do. Roy died in 1987 & Dot this past February. Frankie & Nellie as well as my parents have passed as well. It's sad that we all have to grow up & see our parents & uncle's & aunt's pass away, but we always enjoyed visiting family & didn't realize how good we had it back then. Be good & keep your nose clean, as Uncle Frankie always told me. Oh yeah, you have a good friend with Grayson. He seems to be a friend anyone would want to have.
It's hard bc I'm getting to the age where my grandparents and aunt and uncles are starting to pass.. that's life I guess. Fishing has always been my passion since I could hold a fishing pole. I grew up in Central Florida, so fishing spots were everywhere. Camping just makes fishing better, in my opinion. Thanks for watching, and hopefully, the weather will get back right soon so I can get back out on the water!

Hey Blake; Thanks for reminding me of my Youth when my Bro, and I had the same kind of Fun Playing ,Camping, Fishing, Makig Forts-what we cld them., Rope Swings, diving off Rock Tops, Crawdadin,etc.! Of course didn't even have a camera, ya so Lucky you have video tape to reminisce later in life that will remind you of Fun, & Adventures! No way! I didn't know fresh water mussels did that. There are so many in the rivers here. I'll have to start busting a few open and find one myself

But i would think its getting a lil bit too cold to venture into the outodoors , where i am in NJ you wpould not wanna even think about livin off the waters .
Is that the only place you venture cause i watched the last video when you found all those goodies and that was a good watch too.
It is good when ya break up the magnet fishing videos sometimes cause you kinda get a lil bored watchin the same old same old, if ya know what i mean .
Dont get me wrong i dig magnet fishing or shall i say magnet watching ....lol
How about when you make your way to where ever the magnet fishing adventure seems to be video some of the road trip if it is somewhat of a decent watch ....

The cold just adds to the challenge. The river close to my house has lots of good spots. I could post 10 videos and never show the same stretch of river twice. I will he adventuring other places. I camp all over the place but never filmed it, so I'm learning as I go. Filming the trips to go magnet fishing has been on my mind. I see some cool stuff on the road. I'll see what I can do next time. I appreciate the support! I get tired of editing back to back magnet fishing videos too so the camping helps keep work interesting
