I have the shark. No it’s not great in car. For one the suction isn’t strong enough to clean the carpet. Secondly the battery probably wouldn’t last long enough. That said we absolutely love the shark w1 in home. It’s so convenient and so lightweight and it’s perfect for so many small jobs. We use it at least every other day.
I think I am gonna buy the w1 because of it's size, light weight and the way it's being stored. I don't usually do a top to bottom cleaning in my apartment since I suffer from a chronic illness, but I do vacuum or clean like a min and two at the time and I need something not heavy. The w1 should be a no brainer for me then.
Having had both and still having the shark, I disagree with the end results. Shark is better designed, they're meant to be quick, easy and for small jobs in a light and compact size. The shark is the only one who does that, Dyson is way over sized cuase they're stuck with their technology and design not to mention ugly and awkward to store. The shark is sleek, small, more than powerful enough for the jobs it has to do in its category of vacuum. Easy to store the 1 click where your hand is, is by far the best. The shark has a small tank because it's a small handheld vacuum. Hence the name a small handheld vacuum, then tank is perfect for what it is intended to be used for. The fact the Dyson had a powerd head just shows that it's not really a true handheld vacuum and more of a small full sized vacuum cleaner on the cheap. It's like going between a smart phone and a tablet, the dyson is a phablet, where as the shark is a true smart and proper handheld vacuum. Normally I agree with the videos and having tried the vacuums myself but this is just someone who got them to test and didnt look at the full picture.
You’re comparing Apple to oranges, the Dyson is more for heavy-duty tasks, while the Shark is better for light jobs. The end result is how much potential they have at cleaning, not how good they are in their categories.
Any chance we can see an updated comparison with the new Shark Ultracyclone line of handheld vacuums? They're cheaper than the Ion W1 and with a large dust bin. The Pet Pro+ even has the ZeroM technology to prevent brush roll hair tangles - a first on their handheld line!!
I love my Shark ION Wand, because its sleek enough to keep in the corner of the living room. I wouldn't want to do that with the other two. Cat litter, cat hair, spilled coffee grounds, bugs, crumbs, etc etc are no longer a problem. Life is so much less annoying with this thing. I balked at the price at first, but it has been worth every penny to effortlessly pick up all of life's small annoying messes. Any enormous messes can be cleaned with the full sized vacuum, but those are very rare. So, the convenience factor of the Shark ION wand is HUGE and it shouldn't be over looked. Between the Shark ION Wand and my Neato D6, I've only had to use our full sized vacuum twice in the last three months (for cleaning the trimmings after cutting my husbands hair).
@@kwannasmith Also true! My siblings and I teamed up to buy my parents a Dyson and we had to pay far more for that. My shark was one fourth of the price, if that.
The One reminds me of the old dirt devil Kone. I had one of those about 15 years ago and it was a cool design with a terrible filter and a mediocre performance
Can you please review and compare the Shark WandVac. Its supposed to be the most powerful cordless for its weight. I'm considering that one or the shark rocket pro pet cordless for my new hard floors.
Rachel Carlton it is! I have the D7 and the W1 and having the two of them has been a game changer! I mostly use it to get cat litter from tight places the Neato can’t fit into! I do wish the battery life was longer so that you can use it to clean cars better because it does very well in there too. It’s battery just doesn’t last long enough for you to vacuum the entire vehicle, only like half of it.
We recently started selling Airstream stick vacuums in our store. So far its a very solid product, if you guys have em in the states, i'd really love to see how it holds up to your tests.
I'd go for dyson but I'm so damn sick of hearing about the battery issues all.. The... Time.. And then complaints about the customer service giving them shit... I'd love to buy one.. But every person I talk to says the same thing.. Get on forums u see it.. Get on fb and their links are clogged with complaints and questions as to why their betters are junk after a year or 2
My brand new V6's battery died within two months. My previous V6 died within 2 years. My V8's battery died after two years of light use. Dyson is notorious for crappy batteries and their customer service is a joke! All in all, I have spent a small fortune on Dyson products and with their bad customer service, no more!
I have the shark Ion for my Condo. All hard woods. I just wanted a handheld vac. I’m not nor is any sane person going to use something like this for BIG jobs. Got pet hair? See some dust? Cat litter? The Shark is great
I have both and will be eBaying the dyson. The Shark W1 is meant to do exactly what it says on the tin, and it does just that and performs flawlessly. The dyson is a ball of confusion not knowing whether it is a full vacuum cleaner or handheld unit, it has more suction but the trade off is the utter shambles of a design and practicality. Imagine a super tech company designing the Shark W1, and then your grampa says he can build you one in his shed, and a week later he hands you an ugly dyson. That’s exactly what it’s like, ugly, heavy, can’t get into nooks and crannies, it’s just horrible, shark W1 all the way.
Read other comments. People prefer the shark over the Dyson. It does exacly as it says. It's best for small jobs on counteracts and around baseboards and other stuff.
Can you link the wand and the soft brush and the other head the cheapest you can find not on eBay this sounds like r/chosers begers but i want to see how much it is
Would love to see the new version of this wandvac put to the test. Has a floor roller attachment now.
The Shark ION seems more like a duster than a full on hand vacuum.
I know I am quite off topic but do anyone know of a good website to watch new series online ?
@Cain Prince I would suggest flixzone. Just search on google for it :)
@Aarav Clark definitely, I've been watching on flixzone for since april myself :)
@Aarav Clark thanks, I signed up and it seems like a nice service :D I really appreciate it !!
@Cain Prince You are welcome =)
The shark looks like it would be really great for cleaning your car. It's so small that you could get around easily with it.
Shannon Bradford maybe a small spill in your car. The battery life is heinous
@@Nick210 it really is. it lasts like 6 mins
The suction would do nothing to dirt in a car

Love the camera work!

Are there any more affordable handheld options out there with HEPA filtration? $180 for a handheld dyson pro is steep
Yeah, on UA-cam search up fleshlight
Can you compare the Dyson v7 to the shark Ultra Cyclone Pet Pro, please? Those seem to be more apples to apples.
Having a hard time getting the lid back on can you help with that.
You're doing great work.. Please make a comparison on small cordless vacuums for cleaning laptops and computers etc.

I was able to snag the Shark for $65 even with all of my bargain hunting skills I'll never be able to get the Dyson for anywhere near that.

In your opinion what is the best vacuum I could get at like target or Walmart? It doesn’t matter if it’s cordless and I don’t have pets.
I always get a blister on my hand from the Dyson and the roll always gets stuck.
That's frustrating.
@Nick Dodo just where is rubs my hand..it's awkward to hold
Does the shark ion w1 still exist?
thanks. really good review
I have the trigger but the motorised turbo brush got tangled
Does the Shark W1 use the same component as the Wandvac System Pet?
amazing machine i had a dyson hand held and this thing is much the same powerfull suction light weight. only dislike is small container,😁🤙
Do you think these are good for big or small houses?

I hope to, but I'm just not there yet.
Please make a video on maintaining the shark apex zero m
If I had a v7 trigger. Could I buy a extension wand and a floor tool to make it a normal v7?
Yes, the connections between them are compatible. The cost of the parts sold separately would not make it worth it though.
Would you say this is a good companion cleaner for a Neato D7?
Rachel Carlton it is! I have the D7 and the W1 and having the two of them has been a game changer! I mostly use it to get cat litter from tight places the Neato can’t fit into! Has anyone had or tested the Gtech Multi MK2 and if so how did it do?
Great for kitchen top vacuuming
Can you put long tube attachments on it?
Aside from the extension tube and accessories, how is the V7 Trigger different from the V7 Absolute? Is the Absolute mechanically different?
Just a Gacha tuber Thanks
How long does each take to charge ffs

I searched for the Dyson V7 Trigger Pro but find nothing on Amazon or eBay. Correction... It doesn't exist in Australia 😟
Check Amazon US. I JUST bought one on 9/16/2019.

Sorry, I don’t understand English, just tell me Dyson, Vi 7, good or not?) I just want to buy it. thank🙂

Other than the fact that it's pretty, the Shark doesn't seem to have much on a Dustbuster from 30+ years ago. No thanks.
I totally miss the old school dustbuster!😭
Shark's bin size 2 tea spoon.
