I wouldn't have gone close to that tree myself! Your editing has improved so much, Shreyas. Great visuals and a beautiful place. Just a regular countryside but still lush and surrounded by forests even in the dead of winter. I'm always amazed at the natural beauty of the southern Indian states.
Bandipur tigers are my fascination & u cover the stories of man eaters & their habitats so well..the incidents of conflict between humans & wild needs an elaborate onspot detqiling & where u have chained ur expertise & made us felt on presence in those jungles ..very inspiring work & hatz off for ur determination on those wild trails

I got here from your recent vlog linking to related topic, thanks. If possible zoom to optimal resolution from inside your car, lowering the window just to permit the zoom lens diameter. Your safety is paramount. Also NEVER let your water bottle get empty. When you travel with locals they know the next source of clean water, so you won't incur the risk of dehydration. At present, heat wave is globalized with advisories blaring regularly in many parts of the world🐅🐯👍

After 5 times on Safari , finally saw the majestic tiger in Feb 2024 taking on a clan of Bisons , I thought there would be no man-eaters around Bandipur since they share a nice ecological balance ..
Good to know about your passion, and yes, like most other wildlife parks there are 2 contrasting scenes in Bandipur as well. One being the ecotourism part which includes safaris, stays, photography so on and the other part which is man-animal conflict around the villages of Bandipur, which most casual tourists would never know.

That particular tiger, from what I know has not been caught, nor has the tiger made any more human kills. And for the cattle loss the villagers are compensated by the forest department.
People move into Tiger and leopard territory and then expect them to just go away? I saw a bunch of leopard invasions in Maharashtra mainly because people go and build houses there. Same nonsense here in Florida where people build houses right next to the intercostal waterway and then keep wondering why their pets disappear or why there is a 10 ft alligator in their swimming pool or backyard.
Yes, but in India people have always lived in coexistence with animals for centuries. They are aware of the risks, it's just that now the tolerance for such incidents is very low.

The leopard attacks I saw in Maharashtra, India, the people who live there seem to be city dwellers who have no clue of how to coexist with animals. It’s just that houses have extended into the leopard territory and leopards see pets and farm animals as food sources. There are people who live in the Amazon jungles and they are tribes who have lived there for centuries. And so are people in the Masai Mara in Africa and lions and hyenas and elephants frequent there but they have lived with nature for thousands of years. Compare that to people who are from cities and buy homes far away from the city because they are cheap and they are smack in the leopard territory and subject to attacks. They have no clue of how to coexist with animals, especially wild animals like leopards. There is a difference between tribes that have lived in the wild for centuries or longer and some suburban city dweller buying a house in a housing development project that is close to a nature reserve.
