I have no friends. I use to hangout with losers because I thought I could help them but I couldn't and they only brought me down. When they see my success I hope it motivates them to change. Im 34 years old, I opened my first restaurant when I was 24 years old. Ive opened 3 restaurants and a clothing business but Im not living up to my full potential. @@trilliondollarman My dad was always hard and us, and me and my siblings resented him for it then. But as he got older, and my mom pretty much told him to chill or else, he softened big time. I realize now that if he had been stricter and had my mom on board, I would have been a millionaire by now. But I cant' agree with Pena though, once your are 21 and over, your future is no longer tied to your parents. You are your own success/failure.

my mother taught me this when i was 10 years old. Starting at 10 i would have to work out in the cotton fields chopping cotton (that's what we call it. its not literally chopping cotton but we would go out in the cotton fields and chop the weeds to help the cotton grow stronger). i had no summer break since 10 years old. every year i would have to go work out in the cotton fields. so at the time everyone was waiting for summer break but i was never ready for summer break. i made it the summer at 10 years old. the next year at 11 years old summer came and here we go again. waking up at 430 am to be ready at 6 am for the work truck. one morning i woke up earlier than my mom usually woke me up. i woke up at 415 because i really didn't want to go and i began crying there in my room sitting at the edge of my bed and my mother walks in and turns on the light getting me up for the day. i look up with tears in my eyes and with the loudest voice i have ever heard she yells, "STOP CRYING! STOP CRYING! WHEN I WAS 5 YEARS OLD AND I HAD TO GET UP READY TO GO WORK IN THE FIELDS MY DAD WOULD HAVE BEAT ME IF HE EVER SAW ME CRYING NOW STOP CRYING AND GET READY!!!" and walks out the room slamming the door. Ever since that very day I never cried about going to work and crying about a lot of things in life that is hard. I didn't cry at her funeral in 2020. not because i hated her or mat at her but because she taught a life lesson. you decide what that lesson is.

Great stuff. I was first turned off By Pena but the more you listen his principles are correct.
I listened to some of his videos a couple of years ago and couldn't take him, but for some reason yesterday, I listened to this to the end. It inspired me! Everything he said throughout the entire video is spot on. You awesome young people listen to what he is saying and apply it. This is a real businessman that has pushed the envelope and made it happened. Dan Pena is the man. Now, I am going to consume his information and change the second half of my life.
