Obviously that's part of the game but in a semi-casual setting like that, I'd surely get annoyed as a player. It's not a do-or-die cup game. Still great to see you play of course, thanks!
Sadly it is the reality of African footbal. Great physicality, a lot of hunger but most african teams fail as teams. I always hope that they will become better because there is some great talent there but other than having tought defence and using a lot of brute force, there is nothing else there.
Unfortunately, Africans always suffer. Football is the outlet they use to vent their feelings. There are no good stadiums and no support for talents, unfortunately.

Also they've always been playing rough like this since childhood probably, something similar happens in Brazil dangerous places...
