i guess it is pretty off topic but do anyone know a good website to watch newly released tv shows online ?
Plumber of 30 years n never fitted wall hung haha ( until now) watched this for a rough guide and followed manufacturer's instructions. And it was straight forward . Every day's a school day . Thanks . Great video
Plumber, tiler, composer and singer...couldn't be any better!
Easy to install, ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxjA-hDN2m8_mi0Dg0JD8U6QiArozIAc4I and comfortable. No idea what other people were talking about when they said it was difficult to install or uncomfortable.
Watching a video of a toilet installation whilst on the toilet!
Life goals!
Me right now 😂
Wanking for me 🤣🤣🤣
Me too!
Lucky you! 😂
Man, the song at the end - WOW. You are a true artist.
Ha! Thanks man!
I've never commented on a UA-cam video before.... That was possibly the best song ever written!
Hope you enjoy guys! I loved installing this beast and doing the tiling with a slightly thick head! Anyway it's working lovely. Here's how I did this job. PLEASE follow me on Instagram...you won't regret it (plenty of Big G!) www.plumberparts.co.uk/social.php?social=Instagram
So random question, what would cause a Worcester 42 cdi combi to thrown random EA errors? usually when it's trying to start and heat the internal water tank in the boiler.
Hi James, I’ve been watching your videos for a few years now and it amazing that you’ve been able to progress to a studio to give us these fantastic educational videos. My go to place for plumbing tips. Keep it up buddy
Cheers Rory! It’s been a crazy journey! Thanks for the support mate.
Thank you for the excellent video showing the install of a wall hung toilet. There is a lot of work involved to install the tank unit correctly. Not complicated but many small jobs insuring the tank unit is level and secure and the bowl fits at the proper height. In my case my bathrooms were large enough so I installed one-piece toilets with toilet seat bidets. Much easier and in my opinion the one-piece toilets are much nicer in appearance than wall hung.
Glad it was helpful!
Not going to lie, but you make the best plumbing videos, step by step on you tube. Thank you for your videos there very helpful. Especially for new plumbers in the field.
I love doing these toilets. They look great and if you take your time and set the frame properly you won't have a propblem
Right on mate!
Great to hear Patrick :D
Another great video James! That is by far the best wall hung crapper system I've seen. Really innovative.
Thanks man!
We're glad you like it!
You should also look at the range of Geberit frames. They do them for toilets, urinals, basins. They have a compete system of how to install the frames. I installed the UP200 frame in my bathroom for a Villeroy & Boch Subway 2.0 Toilet and also uses a Geberit basin frame to mount a 800mm wide V&B Sentique basin. I used the Geberit metal channels to "clip" the frames into. Fitted them in Oct 2013 - and they're still as solid as day 1.
Thanks for the video, as i am about to tackle one of these and so it is good to see how a pro does it.
When drilling into the floor, i am concerned about how deep i can go before there is a danger of damaging the moisture barrier? On a different note, there are allsorts of warnings about cutting backer board indoors with a power tool, as it throws silica dust into the air which you really don’t want inside your system: particularly not as it may affect your singing ability!
Unreal how much work went into that mate. Great insight into what u guys are up against tho. The vids are cracking bud, I watched some of your older ones the other day and they've came a long long way! Keep up the good work and happy hands free flushing!
Ha! Thanks man, glad you liked it!
Great video. The things is a mix of metric /imperial also new homes framing is 16" center old ones 1800/1900 is 19-3/16 center and the pain in the but is plaster over lattice hard to locate studs. Anyway appreciate your effort to demo hanging the toilet
Thanks for this great video.
Im getting ready to do something similar myself with the addition of a sink on the same wall.
The question ive got is how would you access the concealed cistern and pipe work in the event that you need to repair or replacemet something? I was thinking building in some sort of access panel to avoid having to dismanlte/destroy some of the box in order to access the hardware if need be.
Do you do anything like this when doing these types of installation ?
Cheers
Video gets immediate thumbs up at 7:21
Why thankyou!
ABSOLUTELY LEGENDARY
Very comprehensive vid, looks great. I’d consider one of these for myself and they don’t look too difficult to install. My wife wanted something similar 8 years ago when I refurbed our bathroom but nothing around then as neat as this. Thanks for sharing. Regards Mike
No worries Mike!
We can confirm it is super sleek and neat... 😏
Good video very helpful , If you get a wall hung toilet , and you need to fix it in the future for example how do you get access to the plumbing ?
Wish my plumber were this good! :D
I need to change my plumber.
PlumberParts TO THE RESCUE!!! The hanging mech. had me confused for a while, but once again, I'm out of poo creek thanks to you bro! Hold tightttt
Hi thanks for this
I installed the wall hung frame and toilet this was easy to follow Unlike the foreign diagram with no words whatsoever 😂😂
Cheers 👍👍
thanks for the video. though aesthetically nice these are a pain to fix anything inside. ive made a leak test by placing a bit of paper towel inside the toilet and it instanlty got wet revealing there is a slight leak. what would be a common cause, something inside the wall?
Now can you do one showing how to access the flush pipe connection from the cistern when it starts to leak, as mine is doing. Also, how to drain the cistern?
Which brand did u buy, so i can avoid it. Do u think it was an installation fault? Mind u if u cant get to it u do not know.
@@antonios4926 Plumber mate inside the rubber cone entry, just a tad.
Haha love it..James brown would be so Proud...Not to mention the smart Loo..Not just a place to Poo..But a Man's True Sanctuary...👍
Top man, made it so easy for me, got completely ripped from a local plumber, i'll do it myself from now on. Thank you for the video
It looks amazing
Thanks Charlie!
Cracking video James. Well done. Very helpful.
Thanks Bry!
Who give this guy thumb down?! Up people, UP!
Very good work experience, I like plumber job..
OMG! and to think I was even considering doing this myself!!!
welldone ! good job. you sorted out my problem....
Nice Plumbing work Sir..
So what if there is an issue with hidden toilet, can it be fixed?
My current commode is floor mounted but since my washroom is too small, I am planning to install wall mounted commode. Do you have any video on changing from floor mounted to wall mounted setup? TIA
Really like the singing mate! Well done! I reckon you need to sing more, seems you not only good at plumbing after all! Haha hold tight 😁
Ha! Thanks Wesley!
Need to install one of this tomorrow 🤔😀
Really helpful video thanks.
Top marks for the singing at the end 😂
Great video thanks 😊
Helped me alot fitting mines 👍
Very Nice Toilet
top work james looks fantastic loved the video.
thanks man!
If something goes wrong with some of the mechanisms in the loo, how do you access it if it's walled in? Have to say I like a hung toilet because you can get a mop underneath it. Can you have them where there's an external cistern like a normal loo?
I have just had one of these toilets fitted, now it has blocked twice, how do you get back into the box to check the pipes. Checked the outdoor drains, clear, isn’t underground pipes as we had a toilet for four years before the new one fitted and no blocking. Please help me with knowledge.
Very similar to the one I have just fitted but didn't watch your video first!! Mine was from Victoria P. The instructions for fitting the pan were just silly sketches and no written instructions.. The frame was a san100 and not as fancy as the touch sensitive one you fitted. Anyway I bolted the pan to the wall and instead of using the plastic pan fitting kit. So I have to take it all off again. Took all morning.
How to wall hung toilet if at the back we have plasterboard wall?Would I need to build timber frame fixed to ceiling and floor?
YOU ARE A STAR
Thanks!
Thank you James brother but these things we used in Germany 25 years ago
We have something like this in the house we moved into, and guess what, it's loose on the wall. Are they generally held against the wall in a similar manner, ie on two studs? Ours seem to have screws on the sides rather than on the top (though those holes) as your did.
Great video james. New subscriber here. Trying to get my head around plumbing. Don't know why, Just see it as a life skill ye no. Cheers for the content. Your videos are very helpful.
No worries dude! Thanks for subbing too. Everyone of you are special.....😬
plumberparts hahaha...the special gang. Hahaha...Off to the funny farm with us then so
This is the best 'Real world' hanging lou install training video out there by a very large margin.
Nice video mate. All clear. Just wonder why some people give dislikes to such a great content.
Perhaps it’s because they run other UA-cam channels, have copied everything I’ve ever done and don’t like to see my videos doing well?
plumberparts haters gonna hate. Fuck 'em. My support to you James and your channel.
Cheers dude!
awesome Video m8 😊
5:34 YEAH! So effing accurate! LOL
Liked it for the song.
What size was the seal for the water inlet would it be 40mm or 50
Good video well done
love the song you totally need to make a plumber parts hit 😎😎
HAha!
Hi James, Do you know is there any seal lubricant needed for the waste pipe? If yes, How often dose the lubricant needs to be refreshed applied on? my toilet was leaking and yesterday they came to applied some glue on the pipe, but I’m not sure how often should the glue needs to be refreshed applied upon. Thank you!
Can you install these toilets onto breeze blocks. I've purchased a wall hung toilet and frame but after ripping off the tiles off the current bathroom, I've found the wall that the toilet will be attaching to is breeze blocks. Help!? It seems so brittle and weak.
How far out can you fit these from the wall my waste comes out to the left and the centre of the waste sits 22cm from the wall
How did you screw the frame to the floor? just the simple drilled holes and bolt in? not get that part...
Noice work and you did a good job tiling
Such an enjoyable watch..does the cistern have an overflow?
Internal overflow
video interessante e molto completo
would have like to have seen the studding detail on the other side of the wall
very good man
Hi, Thank you for a video. I have a question. I could see a mark show 1m height on water tank. Why should it be 1m? What happen if it's lower or higher? And what could be tolerance for it?
Thank you.
don't give me wrong I still learn something from you
@plumberparts Any reason why you can't use tap connector instead of messing with joint compound?
Looks good, but seems like a nightmare to troubleshoot and repair such as a faulty ball valve. Maybe a hinged top that doubles as a sill to place items?
That looks really good, top upload !
What size fitting was the elbow connector to the water inlet? I'm trying to figure out what connector I need for a grohe wall hung toilet, and this similar looking cistern connection makes no mention of its size anywhere in the manual or online which is thoroughly unhelpful 🤔😂
Yes, very nice. But I have a fairly low level window above the WC pan, so not enough height for the fixing "gantry"!
We do have reduced height frames too :) vitra.co.uk/frames/frames/reduced-frame/reduced-height-frame-3/6-liter-sku-760-5805-01
Great job! Will try fit one of these soon
Good luck dude!
Let us know how it goes!!
Hero! This has come just in time for me doing my bathroom...
No worries mate, good luck!
Would love to see how the bathroom turned out!
Jimmy we have a similar wall mounted loo! However the tiled covering is coming away from the wall!! What do we do?
How'd I get here? .....5 min later ,still watching.
I hope you got to the song...!
Hi, can you tell me the depth of the toilet including the ledge you made? Thank you
This is a very good/neat install - id feel much more comfortable if you had a separate isolator on the feed pipe 😂
Thank you for such an informative video. After replacing a new (wall toilet) I just realized that as soon as I placed my toilet, the toilet is loose and lean forward (can't handle the weight). My gf even felt with the toilet. I checked the studs... they are a bit wobbly but the privious toilet had no issue with them ( though it had no hiiden scews and it was bolted to the wall). at this point I am really giving up. After re installing it, I could nearly flush the right side with a wall but the left side is still has distance from the wall and is leaning forward ! Is it a problem with my measurement and fitting the screw ?
I definitely had the same issue at first and it important to push the toilet tight to the wall (which ever side you want to tighten first) only tighten a little per side and gradually tighten them both kind of like jumping around to tight lug nuts on a car wheel
Do you need a some type of padding between the toilet and the tile when you are installing it?
It's better to use a soft pad to prevent the fancy sound due to the little movement between the pan and the tiles.
Bum crack in my area called the..... plumbers decollete :))
Hi James would you have the names & model codes for: WC , Vitra auto flush back plate you used in this top video?
The WC is our Sento wall-hung WC (4448B003-0075) and Infrared Loop T chrome plated flush plate (740-0885) :)
thank you we need spare part's list please send link
Hi James! Another Great video! Keep on learning from you mate! Can you make a video about career progression on Plumbing? Like qualifications worth getting and different sort of work you can specialize in to and so on. That would be quite interesting to hear from Pro plumber like you. Thank you!
Great video..very very informative..quick question..when fitting the toilet seat ..do you access the screws thru the toilet bowl
So what happens when your cistern stops working? You have to tear the wall apart to get at it?
How thick is that hardie backer?
looks great how much is the whole system cost?
What happens if the flush breaks down?
You break all the tiles off and wreck the toilet to fit a new one and hope to God you can match the tiles again!
25:05 So just to confirm you are tightening the Allens into a plastic thread? So important to not overtighten, right? Would it have been better if these Allens were tightening into a metal thread?
Hi Aman, it actually screws into a metal thread formed into some super tough plastic. Sorry mate should have specified.
Can vaseline be used on the rubber seals ? I am not familiar with the brand “very liquid.”
This made me laugh. It's fairy liquid, the Queens favourite dishwashing liquid/soap
A rubber seal that makes a nice rubber seal. Brilliant 👍🏻
These types of videos are dangerous for customers like me. I watched it from beginning to end and some bits several times. Now I'm on the plumbers case making sure he's reading all the instructions and getting it right. He's gonnna hate me ... and you! 😆
He’ll have fitted them before. It’ll be fine! 😂
Extent prodact,in vitra company 👌
Why thank you :)
You beauty Jimbo I’m going to to be doing this soon . Can you do a video on connecting a shower to the stack when you can’t access from underneath and how to get floor sheet up please
Good luck mate! I'll try to film it soon!
plumberparts legend , thanks 🙏 mate . 🍻
Love this geezer! Funny as fuck but a great teacher at the same time 👍
