I have ridden most of the Mondraker lineup and the dune is pretty special. The Mondraker Neat with the TQ motor has a great platform to build upon but the motor power and integration was not to my liking. The Dune on the other hand has plenty of power and the mullet setup has a very noticeable effect on handling compared to some other brands. If you get a chance to ride one of their full powers, the Crafty is my favorite. I like your interpretation of the ride characteristics, the rear end can get hung up on tighter sections as the rear wheel follows but the new zero suspension design is really what makes the big difference.
Its crazy how many e bikes mondraker has, just rode a level xr for three days and its not light haha on wet especially can be sketch but suspension is very comfortable. Would like to try the neat and this
It's honestly actually too many, I can't figure out make or model to look at. Dune? Neat? Sly? Level? Crusher? Wtf do these names mean? What's R vs RR?
@@TryRebooting haha facts. More R's = the more expensive parts I think. E bikes selling a lot so they capitalizing on them. Crafty the normal one, neat the light one, level the burly one as far as Im on the map with these
Can you give your thoughts on bike weight vs power? I think a light motor with larger 600wh might be the best compromise for doing laps? SX seems to be enough for going up even steep fireroads vs CX which is 1kg heavier and probably less efficient
No issues with rattle from the SX motor? That was the only gripe I've heard from people is that it is considerably more noisy than the bosch CX. Same for the seat post - plenty of insertion for you? Waiting on the new Forbidden ebikes to drop, but 2025 is looking like the year I finally pull the trigger on an ebike
I have a new Norco fluid with the SX, has some crazy rattle not going to lie, like you have heard its worse than CX ever was for me. Have checked motor mounts, battery mounts etc, its definitely motor. Even tried an O-chain to reduce the rattle, did help a little bit, but still pretty bad. Probably going to move the bike on because of it.

@@TryRebooting the slys and the crushers are same bikes as before basically but with different brand motors? Not sure
Yes. Longer chain stays!

Didn’t notice any problems with the seat post insertion and didn’t notice any obvious rattling
