I live in England and it's only ever been know as Heathers here. I purchased the score and DVD from a chap in Germany and it was called Heathers there too.
this trailer literally spoiled ALL the major plot points. Like Heather C's death scene, Kurt being shot at, Kurt and Rams funeral, they had JD talking about coming up to her to kill her, they had JD talking about blowing up the school, and then they had scenes from the last 10 minutes? they had Veronica pointing a gun at him, him hiding, IT SHOWED THE BOMB, "Yknow what I want babe? cool guys like you out of my life", JD with the bomb strapped to his chest, and then the scene right before he blows up with a voiceover saying "till death do they part." like the reason this movie is so good is how sudden the twist of events happen? like I watched this movie thinking it was a typical 80s high school movie and I was SO pleasantly surprised when it wasn't. Jesus this is a shitty trailer
I think the difference is that people couldn't scrutinize this trailer as much as we could now, and they also don't have the context that we know. It's just a blur of wild events moment after moment
Not only was it not originally called "Heathers", the trailer doesn't even have the name Heather mentioned once. I imagine when they changed the name they had to re-cut the trailer to feature her talking about the Heathers.
Such a stupid trailer, that misses the entire point of the film and presents it like some type of eccentric romantic comedy which it certainly isn't! It's a dark satire. All of the ironic lines are edited like they're genuine. And that title. What a waste!
What's with the pants background music after the 1st minute? Needed something abit darker, more of the score would have been better, not upbeat classical music! Anyone agree?

A person that knew nothing about the movie would have no idea about the suicide storyline. Corn nuts! What's your damage?! Get crucial! Is this just another spoke in my menstrual cycle? Swatchdogs and diet coke heads. Darn, now I ruined it for others!
Are you fucking kidding me? His entire performance was a 3rd rate Jack Nicholson impression. I mean I love the movie, but his performance was baaaaaaaaaaad.

i loved the movie but every trailer i have seen sucked! maybe thats why it didn't do good at the box office, but it did sale a lot of dvds.
