    All my video content is FREE, but, as I hope you can appreciate for yourself, 'a huge' amount of time & effort goes into their production. So, if you've enjoyed what I've done & would like to recognise all that hard work by buying me a coffee no matter what size, I'd be delighted !! … www.buymeacoffee.com/callingoutW
    Might also convince my wife that it's a good idea to keep doing this stuff 😉

    Many people have praised this channel for the thorough investigation and excellent narrative, but can I also add it's so lovely to hear English spoken so fluently and properly!

    You take the this subject to a new high so to speak. I watch a lot of this type of content and this is far more detailed and complete than any other I have seen. I investigated heavy truck and equipment accidents for many years as a profession (retired now). You are also a very good story teller. Good luck to you.

    Thanks for another thorough and enlightening accident analysis done with much love to detail and a superb visual and oral presentation!
    For me, as a retired ATP the decisions of this captain are incomprehensible. He went to another airport situated close to the sea with most probably a temperature-dew point split of zero and to top it off with no ILS available. Even though the airline didn't state a maximum number of approaches to the same runway in inclement weather - it's basic airmanship and solid decision making to not have to depend on purest of luck. Kind regards from Switzerland from Charles still shaking his head ...

      Good to see you back for more Charles. 6 go-arounds in one flight sure is one hell of a days work ........ and all completely avoidable 🙄

    Captain Warrier was subsequently demoted to first officer.
    I guess I can understand in today’s short attention span society how this channel may not be for everyone.
    But it should be for most who enjoy serious analysis of these incidents.
    Along with Mentour Pilot and Green Dot Aviation, this is my favorite channel.

    THIS is what I've been looking for....COMPREHENSIVE investigative reports being turned into visuals. Thank you!!!!

      @@DanaX09 I definitely like his style and his production values....he's a little too "theatrical" to me sometimes.
      I do like that he talks about the industry as a whole, though.

    Gr8 narration in terms of linguistic style and figures of speech!

    After that harrowing string of cock-ups and a nail-biting, seat-of-the-pants landing, I'd expect the pilot to head for a stiff gin and a long lie-down. Instead, he just gasses up and heads back to his original destination? Shockingly reckless- no question- but, by heck, he's got some bottle.
    Great vid.

    In case other fans of COM's excellent choice of music were wondering, absent the usual credit (he's a busy man), the track backing this vid is 'I arough veuchtitz' from the album Songs from a World Apart by Levon Minassian.

    Personally i like the long form vids. Aviation incidents often need the time to flesh out the detail. Keep it up, i think you're on the right track.

    During my career I always considered that my chosen alternate was located at a distance where the forecast weather would in every likelihood be reliably within approach limits. Even with this operating procedure, very occasionally, things would not work out, a very rare occurrence and always demanded an early decision to head immediately to an airport with guaranteed successful conditions. Let operations deal with the logistics.. at least they'll be dealing with live passengers.

    • @callingoutmayday
      @callingoutmayday  6 місяців тому

      Agreed. From day one it's drilled into cadet pilots. Your alternate has to as 'sure' a thing as you can possibly make it. As you rightly said, the logistics of the situation comes later.

    I remember one time leaving Salt Lake City to Sydney via LA and the sky was overcast all the way to California. We broke through the clouds going up and upon landing at LAX we broke through coming down. I remember thinking I'd never seen all this much cloud cover before. And then when we left LA we broke through the clouds going up and since it was dark on departure, it didn't think anything more about it. But then as the Moon started to turn upside down and the Sun was starting to come up, I looked out the window and noticed that there was still cloud cover over the south Pacific as far as the eye could see. I was thinking how were the pilots going to be able to land the plane if there were all these clouds everywhere. Hmmm... So I could see on the flight map in the cabin that we'd already passed New Caledonia and were well on the way to NSW, but still no break in the clouds. And then the plane started into the descent pattern and now we were flying down into the clouds and all of a sudden I saw that when we broke through, we were flying over Cape Solander and Kurnell and then Botany Bay with Kingsford Smith coming up fast and then we touched down. How the pilots managed to fly across the entire Pacific Ocean with nothing but clouds down below I'll never know. I looked on the weather map upon arrival home and saw it was the biggest storm system I'd ever seen by the satellite image. Was there any luck involved? I don't know, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was. Pilots are amazing, and any pilot that can make mistakes but still bring his plane down in one piece without crashing is A-OK in my book!

    I was a passenger on a flight to malaga. But as the flight was being prepped for landing the pilot suffered a heart attack and the first officer had never landed at Malaga, the chief Stewardess asked if I was qualified on a 737 ER, I was, now retired and landed the plane and as I landed fast the Captain was saved and the First Officer resigned that day as a used a fighter pilots manoeuvre to get the plane down as soon as possible.

    Great channel. One small thing; your voice is strong at the start of a sentence, but tends to taper off to a whisper at the end of that sentence. Not a problem if I keep the volume high but I often listen at low volume so as not to disturb my wife. And so I sometimes can’t make out the words at the end of the sentence.

    Notwithstanding the crew's performance, Indian ATC is crap. Poor communication.

    • @mark-andrews
      @mark-andrews 4 місяці тому

      I think I agree, had a crash occurred, and the pilot hadn't risked everything, and played by the rules, the ATC would surely have been blamed for terrible communication, on the ground, yet the pilot managed all those risks, and he ends up being blamed, seemingly.

    May I make some suggestions, your thumbnails need more work, looking through all of your previous thumbs, I would say that they are a bit dull. Spice them up a bit, another thing, your audio is a little tinny, you put a huge amount of work into your videos but your shopfront is not attracting the customers and once they are in the shop they need to be welcomed straight away, drop the intro graphics, get into the video from the first second, no delay. I want you to succeed, otherwise your wife is going to look at you sideways.
    Edit, it makes me angry that you put in tons of work and have not got the subs and views. you should be getting 100k views per video
