dear god i just got all achievements on the steam version of psyconuts 1 and man it holds up really well as a standard game BUT HOLY HELL IS IT EVER A PAIN TO GET TO RANK 101 am looking at you mia’s dance party AND ALSO YOU LUNGFISH AND YOUR it takes 1000000000 hours to get somewhere(god i can’t stand that level its so sooooo bad)
Riiiiight, Lungfishopolis was sooo annoying, I hated moving so slow! I just wanted to use my telekinesis orb. Some of those figments were straight up evil lmao
I didn't end up loving Psychonauts 2 as much as I hoped I would, but man, some moments of the game blew me away from a creativity perspective. Wasn't crazy about that gameshow level, though lol. I'm glad you enjoyed both of them! I tried playing Psychonauts 1 at the beginning of the year and stopped after like an hour, haha. Killer work, man!!
Love both games, especially the first. The second was pretty good but they were fairly tame with everything. I wish they went even crazier with the characters, level design, and powers because the new look is so mild compared to the first game
Hey fair enough can't love every game lol. I think I would have enjoyed the first game a lot more if I did play it on PS2 all those years ago. That gameshow level did kinda drag on a bit lol
Psychonauts one remains a great game that needs a bit more polish but I am so very glad they listened to player feedback and made the figments so much easier to spot and collect. Definitely a case of unintended difficulty there.

This is such a good series I loved every second of it and the details now I guess that's left is to wait 20 more years for psychonauts 3
