I think she will, she's really doing a great job, she has a lot of range which really lets her get into this role. It makes it way more funny to me that she can switch to different tonalities depending on Kaguya's expression.
Best part is, you'd expect less comedy while the characters and their relationships develops but its totally the oposite! I'd say the comedy is even better at this point in the manga.
Nah, this is not a decent romantic comedy. Toradora is decent. Gotoubun is decent. THIS is a motherfucking god-emperor of the romcom genre. People will compare all future romcoms to this, this will be a new bar of quality.
In the manga, this plot line was immediately followed up with Kaguya helping Ishigami study for a remedial exam to pay back the debt of him helping her out, even giving him some of the leftover cake. The anime instead chose to adapt that as part of season 1 (episode 8 specifically).
That's really interesting. I don't know any other stuff they've cut out (and I'd prefer not to know), but I wonder if they'll make any of that stuff into OVA's. If not, I think I'm gonna read some of the manga after the season is over. Thanks for watching! I hope you enjoyed the video

@@gamerfreak42 Yeah, the chapter that was the most important but was skipped is definitely the one where Miyuki grabbed Kaguya by her boobs. I mean, I get it, it might have been kinda cliché, but it was so impactful when you look at the show overall.
The difference between this Godly manga/anime and other romcoms is that it doesn't end when one of them confesses. The relationships progress beautifully and Ishigami is still the bro we got but don't deserve.

The biggest fan service we got in 185 chapters is girls with wet hair (the mangaka actually made a note and said it's a fan service chapter) xD

What even more mind blowing is that it's just only the beginning of his character progression, but those things were further in the manga so we only have this right now in ss2.

I think you should do it right now. The manga is beyond phenomenal, and it's not like the other romcom shits where it ends with the confession. Shirogane, Kaguya and Ishigami had a ton of progress.

And by the time I watched season 1 of the anime, season 2 was right around the corner, so am just waiting for this season to end to jump right into the manga

But then there are cases like attack on titan, where the manga is a sort of larva stage, and it only truly lives up to its potential with sound and motion. This show seems like one of those, but people really seem to love the manga, so I can't really say.

I LOVE HxH! Haven't read the manga yet, though I plan to. and I've seen up to the end of the Soul Society arc (I watched it years ago). Lindsay hasn't seen either. I think we'll do a series reaction to HxH sometime in the future. We're not in a hurry since there isn't a ticking clock on HxH's popularity. Like people are always going to love that show cause its always gonna be incredible. Maybe once we're done naruto we'll take a break before shippuden and watch HxH. Hmmmm....
