Trick. For the leather-like fabric not to tear, you have to apply forniture polish once a week, a small amount. It soften the fabric and makes it not to tighten and dry that much.

Or use neutral Angelus leather paint once and never again.

You won’t be disappointed! This Vader is great. Awesome on the CCFL! I’ve yet to pick one of those up but from what I’ve seen they really level up a figure

@@jimcollector yeah they can. I keep mine on the lowest brightness and they don’t get warm. I also don’t leave them on when I’m not in the room.

Great review of a great figure, just received mine the other day and could not be happier with the release. Hot Toys are renowned for reuse. Both bases are reuse, the floor base is from the Hot Toys 1/4 scale Return Of The Jedi Darth Vader figure released a while back.
Hey thank you for watching and the kind words! Interesting I didn’t realise the floor base was a reissue. I suppose that explains the size as well if it was in use for a 1/4 scale!
My Rogue One Vader disintegrated because of the pleather. I replaced it with a real leather suit. I will never buy anything made of pleather and I will not be continuously applying products to the pleather either.

Can't wait for mine 😊 waiting also for the new Luke too. Wis😢 they start to use Magnets to hold the figure and no crouch older.
You won’t be disappointed! It’s an amazing figure! I’d like the option of magnets and a crotch grabber. The magnets are pretty cool and so far have held strong on my inset pennywise and Joker, they are a bit restrictive though. The new Inart Batman apparently has moving magnets in its base! That will be interesting.

Just got into hot toys with the boba fett twin pack. Got ARC Jesse on the way and I am wanting the ROTJ Vader coming this year so I will need to be patient and grab that and not this. Hopefully the pleather will hold up. Episode 6 Vader is just my personal favorite from this one and the ep 6 version.
Hey mate, thanks for watching! What a set to start with! The Temuera Morrison head sculpt on that is fantastic. The ROTJ Vader looks brilliant so really good choice and 100% if that’s your favourite Vader then that’s the one for you :) have to say ROTJ is my favourite of the original trilogy

Congratulations on getting this Jim. Hot toys did a great job on this figure. Sadly it's not for me as am waiting the 1/6 Sebastian Shaw one. Did not like the show this came from so its original Darth Vader for me. Not taking anything away from this figure, as like I said it does look fantastic work by Hot Toys. Will look so good in your amazing collection bud 😊

Yeah I think a few people have passed on this in favour of the Return Vader which also looks incredible! Love the unmasked head sculpt on that. For me I only have space for one so this is a good option to have almost two figures in one haha.
Is it safe to leave the figure and the base lit up indefinitely?
Hey bud, I would assume so however I couldn’t be certain. You can definitely keep them wired up at all times but I don’t know if the lights could burn out if you left them on all the time or not. Shouldn’t be a problem for a few hours at a time though
Does the light on his left belt control box not work on yours?
Hey, it does thankfully but the wire kept becoming detached as I moved it around. I didn’t even realise until today it wasn’t connected haha
