This is just an ABSOLUTE demonstration of their range and versatility! "Stuck in the middle" is an amazing track with great vocals and depth! I understand Mrs Coach reaction to it after hearing their debut single "Batter up" because it is very unusual for a rookie group to go this route. However, I can promise her one thing, the more you listen to this track, the more it grows on you. That's what happened to me. Anyway, it's just a thought, you two have a good night.
I love this song; it really lets us hear their vocals in a whole different way. I agree with Coach that it shows their versatility. I saw many negative comments about “Batter Up” in various reaction videos, and likewise with this song over the last couple of days. They can’t please everyone every time, but I sure wish people would give them a chance to let their amazing talent shine as the new group that they are.

Hey Coach and Mrs. Coach, happy to see you reacting to this. To me the song is saying that the protagonist is giving them mixed signals so they are stuck between holding on and letting go. Coach gets it. It is designed to show how vocally talented these young ladies are. My take...visuals are stunning, vocals are angelic, harmonies are heavenly, arrangement was perfect, performance delivered emotion of the song despite their young ages, sets are gorgeous, and production was outstanding.
These young ladies have the potential to become one of the greats in Kpop. I hope that YG (their company) sees what a diamomd in the rough they have and they manage BabyMonster better than they managed Blackpink.

This song is a pre-release of the mini album that will be released in April 2024, the song is very beautiful and highlights the vocals and versatility of the group, YG himself said weeks before the release that STUCK IN THE MIDDLE would be something very different , and so it was, unfortunately the MV was recorded before AHYEON returned that's why it's not in this video, also the fact that the song is in English means that YG is aware that the group aims for an international market, and I'm very happy about that In that, YG is a pioneer, YG always aims big, even if that generates thousands of controversies in Korea, because YG gives more priority to the international market than the local one and that is something that the vast majority of kpop agencies They do not dare to do it for fear that Korea will criticize them or not support them, YG discovered that the international market is the present and the future of K-pop, and although that seems very obvious, 95% of Korean agencies do not see it that way.
A lot of fans complained that Batter up was a "generic" YG type of record, and didn't demonstrate the girls vocal strengths. That was mainly from fans who watched the Last Evaluation series and thought, "here we go, YG not showcasing their talents again". I think you are right. These first two releases from them show the two ends of the spectrum. I'm pretty sure that Baby Monster will have a more upbeat catalogue generally, with maybe one ballad per album moving forwards. Somewhat like Blackpink have done.

at first people were complaining because the debut song (Batter up) was a typical YG song. so YG decided to give us something new. He described the song as “BEAUTIFUL” and i agree with him i’m sure they’ll put out so many hits. even before debuting YG said “Please judge them the way you see and hear them” he’s confident that this group will achieve a lot and i can see why he said that. All YG artists worked with them when they were trainees. (Jennie, Lisa Rose and many other artists) they all did a good job 👏🏼

I really like this song. Young girls singing about the confusion, rather than the heartbreak or the longing of, of love is appropriate for their age. The Disney prices concept does not overly sexualised them( again, their age). I like this group for their vocal talent and this song highlights this talent better than "Batter up". I think this group going away from that Blackpink sound was important as well.

Batter Up put everyone on notice that they were on their way, Stuck In The Middle showcases their voices. No one, with maybe the exception of Mamamoo, comes close.
So I called that BABYMONSTER was going to do this way back when "Batter Up" released and so many "fans" were getting mad that the girls released such a classic YG track for their debut. It was obvious what they were doing. They wanted to highlight the YG DNA of the group in a homage to previous groups that showcased the rappers and the group's choreo skills and just teasing the vocals. I had predicted way before YG even told us that the second track would be a vocal heavy song that that is what it would be. The talent for this group is so insane that there could have been no realistic way to adequately show everything that they are capable of in one debut song.
Normally not a ballad guy and preferring metal, I loved this beautiful and ethereal song and video! ✨☁️🎹☁️✨☁️ Ruka in the stunning red dress at the start has her world darkened 🌑 by her unrequited love, with the flower 🌷 representing a glimmer of hope. (Disney’s Wall-E with one flower left). The rest of the video/song is her daydream. Chiquita is captivating especially in the opening scene as she looks into the camera, and Pharita’s lyrics include “…let it go” (twice) as an homage to Disney’s Frozen, as are others such as Rami on the small island looking like The Little Mermaid, or the stairway to heaven (wink wink LZ) with her blond braided hair. There's no doubt they nailed this. Just as a football team needs both the air attack and ground game, this group has shown they have the upbeat songs and the ballads covered.
My initial reaction was similar to yours, but the more i listened the more appreciative i became of thier musicality. This song builds and declines and builds again, leading to a beautiful crescendo climax that is rare in koop. And then there are Asa and Ruka, my co bias. But as you mentioned it set the stage perfectly for the relase of Sheesh.
Great emotional expression since none of them went through true love 😂. Ahyeon isn’t here yet but Ahyeon would fit this concept really well cause of her wide vocal ranges.

I didn't like the song either at first listen, but after letting it set in for a week or two and when they released the live version, I was blown away that they sounded just as good as the studio version. I fell in love with the song and listen to it nearly every day now. Great reaction!

Prior to their debut, I predicted that BM might release a full English song for their debut, and the repliers lost their minds telling me how absolutely insane I was because a K-pop group would never do that, yet here we are. YG intends this group to be an International favorite, like Blackpink, so it seemed kind of obvious. I agree that this song is meant to be a contrast and to try to avoid having Baby Monster put into a box of "They're this type of group." This one isn't for me either, but it does show that, vocally, they're a top-tier group.

You’re correct, this is to showcase their vocals. With Batter Up, many were disappointed because it didn’t highlight any of their vocals. I love Batter Up, but I actually prefer this song better because it felt very nostalgic for me. Brought me back to my teen/young adolescent years. This song has an old school 90s R & B vide. This is a ballad so it probably won’t do as well as Batter up, but I commend YG for putting this out. I’m guessing their next song will be a more up beat song. BABYMONSTER are one of YG's most VOCALLY POWERHOUSED groups... the way each and every one of them came through w their vocals for this one was everything. I was very shocked with Asa like she has a really good singing voice. All of them really created quite a buzz w this one. Thx for reacting to this song! Also, I understand if you like Batter up more, that's fair. YG is known for many of his UPBEAT sounds. I think w BABYMONSTER though, he purposely wanted a VOCAL group and all-rounders for more songs like this as opposed to BLACKPINK where most of their songs are really EDM and powerful with a few exceptions. I get ms Coach. This is why YG always make Hype song instead of Ballad. Cause he know hype song always attracted people to listen to it. Plus, that's the originality of YG sound too, a hype song. I haven't seen your original video of this group, I but am looking at this one today as I have seen the name elsewhere on UA-cam. It's a nice song, but using a ballad as a title track doesn't make sense. Most groups do upbeat title tracks. Reading online, the group was initially planned from as far back as 2018. They are on YG and come after Bkackpink and 2NE1. I suspect the use of English is to appeal more Worldwide. Their is an album planned this year will all seven members. The song is nice, but not for me I'm afraid. I'm sure it will do well though.
TBH neither Batter Up nor this do much for me. That's no reflection on the members, just YG's choice of songs. And it isn't about whether something is a ballad or girl crush - I like plenty of both (and I hope Mrs Coach will go on liking slower songs which aren't all ballads of course). They are obviously a group worth keeping an eye on.
Remember this: EVERY kpop group and artist is versatile!.. they don't only do one type of song or genre. One comeback they can do a very loud heavy song with insane raps with dark concept and in their other comeback they do bubble gum pop music with disney type concept. NEVER, remember, NEVER expect something from a group sound and concept wise because most of the time they comeback with a different genre, sound, style and concept. For example: BTS is the best example of this, one day they comeback with a HipHop heavy hitting song like 'Mic Drop' and the next year they comeback with a bright song disco genre like "Dynamite"

If we start at the beginning for all groups, we'll never get to anything current on the channel with all the different groups we listen to on the channel. We've listened to Queen's song after Freddie died, for example, and haven't heard a small fraction of their old stuff. We're trying to bring the majority of viewers what they're requesting so there is going to be a lot of new stuff they ask us to do. Didn't realize Black Sabbath is releasing new music today.

Never anywhere have I said release order is a requirement, and only BLACKPINK have we even attempted to stay close to that (with solos and collabs still out of order). If it was majority rule for views, BLACKPINK would be the only artist we ever listen to as their videos get far more views than others. We are doing what we want to do. There are comments every day from people begging us to do their favorite artist. There's no way to keep everyone happy, unless those people just enjoy the ride with us, as it appears most are doing.

at first people were complaining because the debut song (Batter up) was a typical YG song. so YG decided to give us something new. He described the song as “BEAUTIFUL” and i agree with him

even before debuting YG said “Please judge them the way you see and hear them” he’s confident that this group will achieve a lot and i can see why he said that. All YG artists worked with them when they were trainees. (Jennie, Lisa Rose and many other artists)

I really like this song. Young girls singing about the confusion, rather than the heartbreak or the longing of, of love is appropriate for their age. The Disney prices concept does not overly sexualised them( again, their age). I like this group for their vocal talent and this song highlights this talent better than "Batter up". I think this group going away from that Blackpink sound was important as well.

So I called that BABYMONSTER was going to do this way back when "Batter Up" released and so many "fans" were getting mad that the girls released such a classic YG track for their debut. It was obvious what they were doing. They wanted to highlight the YG DNA of the group in a homage to previous groups that showcased the rappers and the group's choreo skills and just teasing the vocals. I had predicted way before YG even told us that the second track would be a vocal heavy song that that is what it would be. The talent for this group is so insane that there could have been no realistic way to adequately show everything that they are capable of in one debut song.
Normally not a ballad guy and preferring metal, I loved this beautiful and ethereal song and video! ✨☁️🎹☁️✨☁️ Ruka in the stunning red dress at the start has her world darkened 🌑 by her unrequited love, with the flower 🌷 representing a glimmer of hope. (Disney’s Wall-E with one flower left). The rest of the video/song is her daydream. Chiquita is captivating especially in the opening scene as she looks into the camera, and Pharita’s lyrics include “…let it go” (twice) as an homage to Disney’s Frozen, as are others such as Rami on the small island looking like The Little Mermaid, or the stairway to heaven (wink wink LZ) with her blond braided hair. I was fairly captivated on first view, but mesmerized on subsequent ones. I love you both, thanks for your always much appreciated reactions 👍🤘😀❤️❤️❤️❤❤❤+❤
There's no doubt they nailed this. Just as a football team needs both the air attack and ground game, this group has shown they have the upbeat songs and the ballads covered.
My initial reaction was similar to yours, but the more i listened the more appreciative i became of thier musicality. This song builds and declines and builds again, leading to a beautiful crescendo climax that is rare in koop. And then there are Asa and Ruka, my co bias. But as you mentioned it set the stage perfectly for the relase of Sheesh.

I didn't like the song either at first listen, but after letting it set in for a week or two and when they released the live version, I was blown away that they sounded just as good as the studio version. I fell in love with the song and listen to it nearly every day now. Great reaction!

Prior to their debut, I predicted that BM might release a full English song for their debut, and the repliers lost their minds telling me how absolutely insane I was because a K-pop group would never do that, yet here we are. YG intends this group to be an International favorite, like Blackpink, so it seemed kind of obvious. I agree that this song is meant to be a contrast and to try to avoid having Baby Monster put into a box of "They're this type of group." This one isn't for me either, but it does show that, vocally, they're a top-tier group.

This is their Pre-release for the album. There will be another Title tack mv release on April when their album drops. Ahyeon will be included in that mv. I'm guessing their Title track will be another banger considering Ahyeon will also be present. 😊🎉

You’re correct, this is to showcase their vocals. With Batter Up, many were disappointed because it didn’t highlight any of their vocals. I love Batter Up, but I actually prefer this song better because it felt very nostalgic for me. Brought me back to my teen/young adolescent years. This song has an old school 90s R & B vide. This is a ballad so it probably won’t do as well as Batter up, but I commend YG for putting this out. I’m guessing their next song will be a more up beat song. BABYMONSTER are one of YG's most VOCALLY POWERHOUSED groups... the way each and every one of them came through w their vocals for this one was everything. I was very shocked with Asa like she has a really good singing voice. All of them really created quite a buzz w this one. Thx for reacting to this song! Also, I understand if you like Batter up more, that's fair. YG is known for many of his UPBEAT sounds. I think w BABYMONSTER though, he purposely wanted a VOCAL group and all-rounders for more songs like this as opposed to BLACKPINK where most of their songs are really EDM and powerful with a few exceptions. But yea, we just gotta keep track and see the routes he takes with BM

I get ms Coach. This is why YG always make Hype song instead of Ballad. Cause he know hype song always attracted people to listen to it. Plus, that's the originality of YG sound too, a hype song. Is not wrong when they released ballad song sometimes people gonna like it but not oftenly listen to it cause it's not vibing. It's showcases their vocal ngl, but for me personally i prefer hype song not slow song. But it's great tho. I love the girls, the vocal are amazing, the MV is stunning. Everything is on point in this MV. But yeah, i can listen to this song but not as much as i listen to Batter up since Batter up are in my car playlists while Stuck in the Middle is type a song suitable play in the bar.

Has anyone requested Lovebites live concert performance of " Judgement Day"? The all female Japanese metal band . Like BandMaid but more metal they've been compared to Iron Maiden . This performance will blow you away. You'll want more, since ballads aren't your thing as you've said before. This one is no ballad. Live is better than the mv.

I haven't seen your original video of this group, I but am looking at this one today as I have seen the name elsewhere on UA-cam.
It's a nice song, but using a ballad as a title track doesn't make sense. Most groups do upbeat title tracks.
Reading online, the group was initially planned from as far back as 2018. They are on YG and come after Bkackpink and 2NE1. I suspect the use of English is to appeal more Worldwide. Their is an album planned this year will all seven members.
The song is nice, but not for me I'm afraid. I'm sure it will do well though.

TBH neither Batter Up nor this do much for me. That's no reflection on the members, just YG's choice of songs. And it isn't about whether something is a ballad or girl crush - I like plenty of both (and I hope Mrs Coach will go on liking slower songs which aren't all ballads of course). They are obviously a group worth keeping an eye on.
Asa my bias of the group, I just love the tone of her voice, and I usually tend to bias main vocalist of most group but there the odd time I don't.

Remember this: EVERY kpop group and artist is versatile!.. they don't only do one type of song or genre. One comeback they can do a very loud heavy song with insane raps with dark concept and in their other comeback they do bubble gum pop music with disney type concept.
NEVER, remember, NEVER expect something from a group sound and concept wise because most of the time they comeback with a different genre, sound, style and concept.
For example: BTS is the best example of this, one day they comeback with a HipHop heavy hitting song like 'Mic Drop' and the next year they comeback with a bright song disco genre like "Dynamite"
New Babymonster I understand. But new Twice and new GIdle? Why all this new stuff before you see their well known hits? I don’t see you skipping to the latest from Black Sabbath for instance.
If we start at the beginning for all groups, we'll never get to anything current on the channel with all the different groups we listen to on the channel. We've listened to Queen's song after Freddie died, for example, and haven't heard a small fraction of their old stuff. We're trying to bring the majority of viewers what they're requesting so there is going to be a lot of new stuff they ask us to do. Didn't realize Black Sabbath is releasing new music today.

@@bollyjeff LOL, not sure what the problem is, as we're honest about our feelings on these songs. Never anywhere have I said release order is a requirement, and only BLACKPINK have we even attempted to stay close to that (with solos and collabs still out of order). If it was majority rule for views, BLACKPINK would be the only artist we ever listen to as their videos get far more views than others. We are doing what we want to do. There are comments every day from people begging us to do their favorite artist. There's no way to keep everyone happy, unless those people just enjoy the ride with us, as it appears most are doing.
