    The problem is the distance between the puck and the group shower. It should be noted that each machine has a different group shower, so some people dose 18g into 15g baskets (H22) - like me, and others 18g into 20g baskets...
    The smaller the distance, the better, but it is important that the finished puck does not touch the group.

      doesn't really affect the taste just annoying to clean. As somebody whos cheapest piece of equipment currently is the espresso machine itself (casabrews while i save up for a better one) it can also be a consequence of having a machine without a solenoid valve to eject the remaining water in the pipe. with my particular machine if i just let it sit over a drain cup for a minute it dries out, but if i try to take it out immediately my machine sneezes at me from the remaining pressure and it will have a bunch of muddy espresso soup inside the portafilter
