In this episode, we're getting into 3 more subscriber-recommended stocks. This time, we look into Alibaba (BABA/9988), UiPath (PATH) and Ares Commercial Real Estate (ACRE), which might all be potential buys today!
    UiPath (NYSE: PATH)
UiPath Inc. is a prominent player in the robotic process automation (RPA) industry, specializing in creating bots to automate repetitive tasks within companies. From processing invoices to managing inventories and enhancing customer support, UiPath’s solutions are versatile across various business functions. Although RPA isn't new, the integration of AI significantly boosts these bots' capabilities. Despite the stock's dramatic 80% decline since its 2021 IPO, reflecting the volatility of pandemic-era IPOs, the company remains financially sound, boasting a robust cash flow that has doubled over the past three years. While it might not be a buy for me just yet, it's certainly a stock to watch closely.
    Alibaba (NYSE: BABA, HKG: 9988)
Alibaba Group continues to navigate the challenges posed by regulatory crackdowns in China and significant stake sales by SoftBank. Despite a recent decline in net income due to investment valuation changes, the company's revenue growth in sectors like international eCommerce and logistics is impressive. Financially robust, Alibaba's current assets comfortably cover its liabilities, and it operates with minimal debt. With a market cap around $200 billion and cash flows between $15 to $25 billion, the company's valuation is attractive, particularly when compared to peers like Amazon.
Ares Commercial Real Estate Corporation (NYSE: ACRE)
Ares Commercial Real Estate focuses on investing in real estate through senior mortgage loans, primarily in office and multifamily properties. The company is proactively reducing debt, with an 8% reduction in Q1, and maintains a healthy balance sheet where total assets surpass liabilities. However, the real estate market’s challenges mean that asset sales at a loss and potential refinancing issues could pressure Ares further. Linked closely with other entities in the Ares Group, any significant problems in the broader group could impact ACRE.
These three companies present unique opportunities and risks. Alibaba appears to be a solid buy, while UiPath and Ares Commercial Real Estate require more cautious evaluation but remain on the watchlist. I agree with BABA, I own a small position and looking to add more soon if it keeps so undervalued. About ACRE I also agree, but I think for the current extremely underrated valuation there are way more probabilities of big rewards than risks-that is, of course, considering it's a small position because of the risky nature of the business and the current economic and political climate. But it's too tempting of an amazing opportunity to let it pass this time. I think it could rally easily and we get a very nice dividend while we wait. In case of everything going very wrong, one can sell quickly if there are good reasons to, but with that book value and everything I believe it shouldn't fall too much already-unless it would be a catastrophic event or something like that. Plus the Fed will have to lower interest rates because the economy is what it is nowadays... Very interesting and useful as always and thank you!

Thank you for the comment! I think the same on both. Also, keeping an eye on PATH now, especially after the recent crash due to layoffs

Congrats for yet another great video. I'd be interested in your take on 3M (MMM). There's a lot of talk about the new CEO and his past record in terms of unlocking cash flow potential, plus the stock having reached peak pessimism in the last couple of years over litigations and liability issues. VFC also looks like an interesting (albeit risky) turnaround story, in case you're looking for more ideas :) Thanks in advance!

Hello Andrew! Great videos from your side! I would love to see a review of Volkswagen $VOW in your channel. The stock price seems to be very low.

When it comes to the EV market, is Rivian a good long-term investment or a gamble in your opinion? and how do you think the VW investment affect that?

    • @Investing_With_Andrew
      @Investing_With_Andrew  7 днів тому

I never did a deep dive into Rivian, unfortunately. They have Amazon's and now VW's backing which is great, but they are still losing a lot of money even on a gross level. Same high-risk, high-reward as most of the pure-play EV companies in my opinion.

Talking about Chinese stocks, what do you think about Baidu? It seems tempting at these prices... It could be an interesting analysis. Also, one of the stocks you covered (Arcadium Lithium) is now quite an attractive buy. All major EV makers (Tesla, BYD, Li Auto, Xpeng) have been reporting improvements in ev deliveries so it might signal a recovery in the lithium market in a not so distant future...

Thank you for the comment! I own a bit of Baidu, so it’s clear what I think 😉 I am watching Arcadium closely. Waiting for the Q2 report and then I’ll probably make a new video about them.

@@Investing_With_Andrew $ALTM did have a habit of making sudden large moves up in the past and I honestly doubt it will go much lower than it is currently. I've listened to a couple of interviews by Paul Graves and he seems quite confident that they will perform well even with these Lithium prices....and all the benefits of the Alkem-Livent merger are yet to be monetized so, Idk if I would wait for the Q2 earnings... I made a position at these low prices and now we wait. :)

China is a communist dictatorship and that stopped me at first, but the good thing is they're more capitalist like supposedly capitalist countries like unfortunately my own, Spain, so... Yeah, they could do something weird that harms us or even expropiate the business directly, but I don't think they would gain much doing that as they would lose all the already little confidence and reliability people around the world gives them. So just don't invest too much in China, but unless there's a real big international or internal crisis or something like that I don't think it's that bad. So now I own several shares of BABA and JD. Many US or other countries' businesses also rely on China, so... It's all the same I think.

Wouldn't ARI be a better investment compared to ACRE? It seems ACRE has not yet recovered in terms of FFO and the P/B ratio discount you get with ACRE is very small when considering ARI is still valued at single-digit P/FFO.

    • @Investing_With_Andrew

      I can't say. I haven't looked into ARI before ☹️
I'll add them to the list though.
