Concert Hommage à la liberté

Plus de 600 personnes sont venues à la salle Pierre-Mercure à Montréal le soir du 13 juin pour assister à un programme émouvant de musique chorale et instrumentale, de narration et d’histoires. Le concert, intitulé Hommage à la Liberté, était une contribution collaborative à la campagne mondiale #OurStoryisOne #NotreHistoireEstUne en l’honneur des dix femmes bahá’íes qui, tragiquement, ont été exécutées il y a quarante ans par les autorités iraniennes dans la ville de Shiraz, en Iran, pour avoir refusé de renoncer à leur foi.

Over 600 people gathered at the Salle Pierre Mercure in Montreal on the evening of June 13th for a moving program of choral and instrumental music, narration and storytelling. The concert, titled Hommage à la Liberté [Hommage to Freedom], was a collaborative contribution to the global #OurStoryisOne campaign that honours the struggle of Iranian women for gender equality and marks the anniversary of the ten Baha’i women who, forty-one years ago were tragically executed by Iranian authorities in the city of Shiraz, Iran for refusing to renounce their faith.
