So as the title suggests today I'm sharing 12 style tips that I tend to reach for when I want to really elevate my outfits and make them feel a little more polished. Now this can be done with super casual everyday looks as much as it can with something more dressy, it's just a few simple tweaks that can make all the difference. Do let me know what you all think of my new Outfit Links section? A shiny new website for 2024 and hopefully a much easier way for you all to see the pieces and recommendations:) Most of the clothes I'm sharing today I already have in my wardrobe but I'm sharing new ways I've been styling them recently to really get the most out of what I have. And with a few finishing touches here and there it's making me fall in love with those pieces all over again:) As always it'd be lovely to hear from you all so do let me know if there's an outfit idea you'll be recreating? Big hugs everyone and as always thank you for all your support for my channel, Jess x
Jess, you wore so many outfits in this video I can relate to. I agree that rouching looks cheap to me, compared to nice long sleeves on blazers. I'm looking for the right coat for me, yes I wear coats at night especially living in CA, even in the summer. I reach for my older coats (pastels) all the time. I love the rich camel colors as the coat you are wearing here. My favorite outfit (although they are all class A outfits) is the cream blazer with the thin black belt. The way you explain fashion is so helpful for me.
Jess, I cannot wear mocks or turtlenecks. I overheat while wearing them. Love your winter white. I wore a cream sweater, cream leather pants and tan boots outfit with my off white coat last night. I got so many compliments. It feels a little unexpected :)
It's not just me then!! Strangely I don't mind turtlenecks at all but mock necks, well, I think you could see my reaction haha! Maybe it's the height they come up to on my neck? Just makes me feel odd:/ Love the sound of your out out outfit last night, always gives you a spring in your step when you feel good in an outfit doesn't it:) Try and replicate that vibe with an everyday look this week, it sounds like you've hit upon a winning formula for you:) Have a great week Cynthia x
Love your ideas, Jess. No mock neck for me either. I only wear v- necks and crew necks. I love those small little details, too, instead of making a big, complicated fuss out of my wardrobe. That's the reason I love those classic garments. Quickly put on, allways put together looking, and the details make the finishing look.
It's a strange one I know but glad I'm not alone with that feeling! The little details make all the difference don't they, classic pieces made well are definitely the key to a timeless wardrobe:) Thanks so much for watching lovely and have a wonderful week ahead:)
Loved this video, Jess! Great outfit ideas. You are so right about the declutter, I have clothes all over the place, in different closets, upstairs, downstairs, ugh! I recently did a minor reorganization, and lo and behold, found some good pieces to incorporate into my wardrobe once again!
Leggings are a vital part of my daily life as well as travel outfit. They're versatile and, comfortable, and you can really dress them up or down. I found a pair on Amazon that are not only buttery soft, but affordable, fleece lined, water proof AND flattering 😅 love the video Jess ❤❤
Ooh thanks for the tip Melda, I never thought of looking on there for leggings I shall have a search for them:) If you ever come across any thermal style ones that are lined in cotton please do let me know. We're off to NY which I think will be freeeeezing but my eczema is a little bad atm so I need that cotton against my skin. Happy Sunday my lovely and thanks again for the recommendation:)
I hate those pre-ruched blazer sleeves too! I've got quite long arms and legs so if I were to push my sleeves up I always feel a bit 'gangling' like I've outgrown my clothes! I never wear cropped trousers or jeans for the same reason. Only full length for me. Plus I really feel the cold so I don't want cold ankles!
Haha it's a strange one isn't it! Why would we want to limit ourselves to be able to style the item just one way? What about going for a cropped length from the tall range so that the proportions work better for you? Big hugs, Jess
Afternoon Jess Great vid as usual My fave look is the winter white ( so classy ). I agree re the mock neck, i do like a cowl neck though. Love your waffling btw Hope you had a great weekend xx 😘
Haha I can literally chit chat for England can't I! Poor David, he has to live with it haha! Winter whites are always so elegant aren't they, and a bit of a failsafe look when I don't know what to wear but want to feel nice:) Have a wonderful week ahead Lindsay:)
Hello Jess. I too am not fond of mock neck sweaters. They feel so constricting. I do love roll necks, however. In fact, I found my favorite brand and I have 7 colors in the same style. I recently added a pop of red in my wardrobe with my newest roll neck. I am really liking it because it does have that classic look. I style it with my grey trousers and blazer for a very chic look. Thanks for your style inspiration, as always.
Hi Jess. Thank you for your informative content. I learn so much through your videos. Thanks to you I am now more fashion self conscious about what I buy to create my own style and maximise my wardrobe. I am plus size UK12-14 and although I love all your inspirational styles I sill struggle to style my clothes in a way that look flattering on me. Have you thought about including some tips for different body shapes in your videos? I would love to see visual examples on how to dress in classic style when you plus size. Best regards Sylvia ❤
Perfect, as always...gray looks such good on you...i have noticed (if i have permision to say) that smaller bags fits you better than big and rectangular ones...❤you
Thank you so much Marija, I appreciate that:) In all honesty I do love a big bag because I have trouble being minimal about what I take around with me haha! But you're probably right, the smaller bags do look a little more elegant. Hope you're having a wonderful week lovely and thanks so much for popping by x
Hi Jess...always love your style. Question....what are your thoughts on how your hair color can impact your wardrobe color palette? My wardrobe has always been neutrals, beiges, browns, taupe, and caramel. However in the last 6 months of decided to let my natural gray hair grow in and I've found my beloved wardrobe now looks all wrong. It seems I now look better in bolder, more saturated colors beside classic black or gray. Would you consider doing a video addressing this issue?
I love your bangs, they look amazing. Please teach us your method. I am sure many ladies like me will appreciate your lesson on cutting perfect bangs. Many thanks for considering my request.
Hi, Jess … I’ve only discovered your channel recently … Love your style … I especially loved the camel coat you showed in your first outfit. The very next day, I bought it at COS … I’ve been looking for that rich camel/caramel color forever! Thanks a lot! 😍
Love all your ideas hon. The simple but effective tips to enhance your own wardrobe are the best. Thank you ❤ I’m with you, I find mock neck jumpers really uncomfortable as they are too tight and a funny length. Maybe I have a odd neck 😅😂 Have a good week ❤
Hi Jess, all gorgeous as usual. That black jumper you got out of the loft is fab, a happy re-find. I massively decluttered a few years ago, well I did the whole house but my wardrobes had the most to get rid of and now it needs doing again (how does that happen) but we're going to be finally starting on the decorating this year so I'll be getting new wardrobes and I can't wait to have another sort out for that! Have a great week x
Morning Jess I don’t own a pair of jeans in my wardrobe currently but will only buy a pair when I’m really happy with the fit and colour. Thank you for pulling all these great ideas together. I loved these looks today. I’m going out today to look at coats! I did buy a grey wool bomber jacket from M&S this week (a Zara dupe), it was a bargain, is a great neutral colour and it fits very well and adds a bit of texture to my outfits. Have a fab day 🥰
Great looks as usual Jess. I can't wear brown/camel as my school uniform was brown (plus it doesn't really suit my "winter" colour palette) Does the leggings and trainers look you showed mean I can get my skinny jeans out again and wear them with trainers? Same silhouette plus I like my skinny jeans!
Morning lovely Jess, hope you’re all well? Really enjoyed this video, thank you for putting it altogether. Some really great ideas! I layered my ecru Chloe blouse under a navy jumper the other day for work and it turned out really well. I did all the buttons up and that beautiful lace detail gave the collar such a pretty look. Your new camel coat is absolutely stunning! What a gorgeous rich colour. I love that scarf too, I might have to have a look at that 😉 Have a wonderful Sunday and week ahead! Take care and sending hugs as always lovely xx
Hello gorgeous how are you hun? All good here, busy as ever with the boys and work and finally sleeping better now that the Fashion Trends video is finished and out there! That one is sooooo much work and pretty stressful but it seems like everyone enjoyed it:) How's the new job going? Love that you're really getting the most out of the Chloe, I bet that collar looked so pretty peeping over the top. Let me know what you think to the new way of me showing the outfit links too hun, does that make it easier to navigate? Big hugs as always gorgeous and sending you all the positive vibes for a fab week ahead:)

I won’t buy those ruched-sleeved blazers either. What happens in cold weather? My arms get cold first! It’s easy enough to push up full-length sleeves when wanted, but 3/4-sleeves can’t be lengthened. I don’t buy 3/4-length sleeved tops, either. I bought a striped knit top from Sezane that said “long-sleeves”, but they turned out to be 3/4-length, I don’t know when I’ll wear it. The body might be too hot when the weather is warm enough to have bare lower arms. I’ll try it in the spring, but probably will sell it on. Too bad, otherwise, it’s exactly what I wanted, a camel-on-ecru striped cotton.
Hi Jess, I love all your outfits in this video you always look stunning ! I love those Sezane jeans and have been wanting to order some for a while. As a size 14/16 uk size do you still think they would look good? Also what size do I go for? I find their sizing tricky to work out. Have a great Sunday xx
Hi Julie, if it's any help, I'm a UK 16 and the size 46 trousers fit perfectly. A size 44 could be good if you're nearer a size 14 than a 16. Happy shopping!
Loved this! Really love the Sexy Brut jeans - would you mind me asking Jess what size you got them in and length? It’s just it’s hard to work out what the right fit would be online for me! Thank you!,,
Hi Gillian, no worries at all:) I wear my usual size 28 and regular on the length and I'm pretty much a true size UK 10. In fact I find all Sezane jeans very true to size whichever style you go for. With the Brut I did once try a size up in a 29 to see what the fit would be like and i'm not sure it's giving a typical straight leg jeans shape so I'd recommend your usual size for that 'perfect' pair of jeans. Hope that helps lovely but please ask away if I can help with anything else
I can’t stand mock necks 😂 I’m 5’9” and 58. They look like the manufacturer ran short of fabric, like they are trying to be a turtleneck but failed, and make it seem like my neck is weirdly long and disproportionate 😂
As I understand it, it looks similar to a roll neck but is not folded over, like a tight-fitting stand collar that does not go up as far as a roll neck
I love leggings if they’re nice and thick and don’t show anything they shouldn’t. I don’t wear the big shirt/sweater over them, it makes me look like a brick on two skinny sticks. I don’t thick those tunics flatter anyone, really, and they are nearly 25 years out of style. They’re very frumpy and aging. I tuck in all my tops/sweaters, or buy “cropped” ones that just cover my waistband, or certainly end above my hipbones. If the hips and waist aren’t shown, there’s no shape in the silhouette at all.

@@FashionStyleEdit oh thank you Jess that is so helpful! Really appreciate that and all your advice and style x
How can I find you on Vinted? Thank you!
Thanks, so I'm wondering where we can find all this items online?
Everything featured is linked in the description box:)
You wore a white shirt with collar & cuffs in a ‘waffle’ textured fabric… where might we find it? I don’t think the one linked has that lovely detail.
I can’t stand mock necks 😂 I’m 5’9” and 58. They look like the manufacturer ran short of fabric, like they are trying to be a turtleneck but failed, and make it seem like my neck is weirdly long and disproportionate 😂
what is a mock neck please? Never heard that term before?
As I understand it, it looks similar to a roll neck but is not folded over, like a tight-fitting stand collar that does not go up as far as a roll neck
@@leoniep9231 Thank you 😊
One question...who is Abbey? Your friend?
A puzzle is why designers insist on horizontal stripes when we know vertical stripes are much more flattering 🤔
this is not winter, this is autumn
Depends how cold you are I guess 🤔
I love leggings if they’re nice and thick and don’t show anything they shouldn’t. I don’t wear the big shirt/sweater over them, it makes me look like a brick on two skinny sticks. I don’t thick those tunics flatter anyone, really, and they are nearly 25 years out of style. They’re very frumpy and aging. I tuck in all my tops/sweaters, or buy “cropped” ones that just cover my waistband, or certainly end above my hipbones. If the hips and waist aren’t shown, there’s no shape in the silhouette at all.
