@@elliemegel2846 was about to ask the same thing. it would take years and years to learn a triple loop. one of my friends has been skating for 10 years and has landed a double loop but not perfectly.
i call bullshit, they do triple loops and FALL during the olympics. girl bye
I remember watching this and was impressed with Hayden for doing her own stunts. Idk what happened with Michelle’s shots but it’s clear she trained and did so many great tricks and yet none made it the film. A lot of her shots were all half body and cgi’d after. So weird.

Was extras casting done through an agency, or was this one of those situations where a casting call was posted in your local newspaper? Was it specified as an unpaid role or did they say you would be paid? Did you sign a contract?

it takes years and years to learn those jumps so no. she could do spirals, waltz jumps, toe loop and crossovers. but for the rest she had a stunt double.

Michelle (the lead) learned profession skating for 10 months without prior skating experience just for this movie. SO IMPRESSIVE!

Sometimes they do that if they need someone to be as taller or taller than someone. At some point we see Hayden standing on some boxes to make her look as tall as Michelle. It could be like that.

Could be protection but given that the girls actually trained really hard for the film, it may be muscle. They had to workout their legs and obviously that would effect their bums. They actually did a lot of the stunts in the film which is amazing.

But now I understand why there aren't more skating movies
They had to learn it all under a shortwr period of time, but the coaches were real. There are real ice skaters as well, such as the "Flying Shrimp".
I know right hahaha I used to be so impressed but now that I actually know about the sport I'm like "What...?" hahaha but I give them a lot of credit, because they're actresses, not skaters and had to learn to be pros in 8 months. I think taking that into account they did a good job :)
Its just a movie. We all know they are actors playing skaters.
