Envious!!!! you are indeed a huge joke. How can I or we be envious of our creation. Ile Ife created or beget you and to Ile Ife you will belong forever. I am only opening your senses to history that the British were not the first to plunder you and that Ile Ife had plundered you for centuries. Your monarch is an evidence and product of plunder. In essence you are a plundered race. I must also not fail to tell you that you are a defeated and subjugated race. wherein lies "Envious" as you insinuated. Do not reply me unless you want to stir up deluge of abuses, bullying and racial invectives on your channel.

I think it gives us a sense of pride to assume that the west is envious of us. What’s the evidence? And to what end? Every useful invention that has dragged ‘man’ into the modern era is a product of western civilization - why exactly would they be envious of us? I don’t see westerners killing themselves to get into our country because of the endless opportunities. We need to chew on some humility and begin to build something our kids can be proud of. I refuse to celebrate the same people who freely sold their kinsmen and children into slavery for mirrors, dry gin etc... Give me a fckn break!

Religion such as Christianity and Islam ruined the peace and serenity in Benin and Nigeria too if you like, Black people especially Africans dont understand Christianity or Islam, the white man used it as business means and Africans fell for it. May God help us all understand his ways more, Amen!

    • @clinton77ful
      @clinton77ful 4 роки тому +7

@AJ Law Since the advent of Christianity in Benin the people`s `culture and tradition have been diluted, Crime rate increased, kidnapping, robbery, prostitution and cult killings is rampant, Christianity no doubt is the good news, i am an active member in my church but it was wrong to have replaced the peoples culture with Christianity or even Islam. If you argue Christianity did not cause the drastic crime increase, we can at least agree that Christianity preaches morals which the Nigerian Churches have failed to practice and live by example, I know many of your big churches pastors who send their kids abroad to study and live flamboyantly in luxuries while ordinary members are sent through the back door to die. We do not need a soothsayer or evidence to explain Africa problem at large, this is there for all to see. Thank God for social media, it Is another western blessing like Christianity was in the early years when it first arrived on the shores of Africa. Like Christianity diluted our tradition, social media is now exposing Christianity too. Is it ok that even our so called holy men and followers of Jesus Christ walk around with armed security and bullet proof cars. I am yet to see the benefit of Christianity to Edo State.

I am author of the books: The Great Wall of Africa: The Empire of Benin’s 10,000 Mile Long Wall, The Real Wakandas of Africa and The Real Vibranium of Africa (by Maurice Miles Martinez). Most people are unaware that African people built a wall before transatlantic slavery in the Benin empire that is one of the most massive structures in the world. At 10,000 miles long, the Great Wall of Africa contains more material than all of the buildings in New York City’s Manhattan. If cut into 1 meter high blocks, it would wrap around the equator more than 65 times! It is arguably the planet’s greatest man-made structure. Yet, it has been ignored by historians. In my book The Great Wall of Africa: The Empire of Benin’s 10,000 Mile Long Wall, I explore the dimensions of the wall, the history of the Benin Empire’s Kings (Obas) and the stolen Benin Bronzes. These treasures that sit in the world’s museums amount to more than $14 Billion. Most people who read this book are left wondering why they never heard about the Great Wall of Africa in their history classes. The world needs more videos on this topic.

      Good day Mr Philip
Clear focus, unbiased, prejudice free, examination of different views or perspectives and deep consultation are all important hallmark of research work
That both Oyo Alaafin and Ado Benin derives from Ile Ife is an undeniable and irreversible fact of history
Second, that at some point in their dynastic history, both kingdoms or empires sought confirmation for the installation of new kings from Ile Ife. Similarly and indeed evidently, both return the heads of a deceased kings to Ile Ife. I would at this point implore you to at this point upgrade your knowledge of history that there is in existence Ile Ife, the burial ground of deceased Alaafin similar to Orun Oba Ado
Third, the concept of first class kings or third class is colonial conception not ancient. So please delete that grading quickly. However, there are natural pecking order consistent with tradition which makes the throne of Oduduwa the arch throne in the entire geographical clime
Oyo Alaafin was never at any point in history the rule of Yoruba and they never ascribe that to themselves. Oyo Lorded it over the Western corridor of Yoruba land down to Togo.
For reasons of time and other important things to do, I would have love to dwell extensively on this topic. However, this is not the right platform to do that.
Pointlessly, you attempted to make a Lego link of Oduduwa as championed by Ogiso Erediauwa alias Ekhaladeran. I got one assignment for you, please just point to me anywhere in Benin history from 1933 to 1978 when Oba Akenzua reigned, wherever he made reference or pronounced the existence of a lost Igodo Prince Ekhaladeran who wandered in the forest reserve of Benin, learnt Yoruba language in the forest and changed his name to Izoduwa Imadoduwa Ozoduwa or Erediauwa or wa wa waa
Oranmiyan's journey from Benin to Oyo and back to Ile Ife is very clear in history. As I said from the start, you need to consult far and wide before you plunged ignorantly into a subject. what you wrote up there is a piece of shredded and unintelligible nonsense
Ooni is the spiritual head of the house of Oduduwa, the role which includes issuance of crowns even to Oyo Alaafin himself and early Portuguese chroniclers of Benin history stated that Oba of Benin had to be confirmed by Oghene nu Uhe before he could be referred to as a king
The nonsensical insinuation that Ooni is a child of a palace slave who later rose to the position of a chief priest is rubbished banter cooked up by Oyo Alaafin after their fall and in order to sustain their relevance. Otherwise the reigning Alaafin in 1913 would quit his palace when Ooni Olubuse 1 travelled to somewhere in Lagos to resolve crown issue. The reigning in 1913 stayed outside of the palace until Olubuse 1 returned to Ile Ife. Would you confer such honour to a child of a slave. Now I must talk too much because you are not Yoruba.
Finally, I must not fail to ask you why or how come that Edo Benin people always allow emotion to prevail over common sense. And also, why are you so stupidly submissive to whatever emanates from the palace of Oba. You are allowed to think, it is not an offense.
Ask yourself important questions such as what is the meaning of Ubinu, Why Ubinu, why did Portuguese writers said this and that, why did Eghareveba said this and that, Why did Oba Akenzua never refuted Egharevba.
Ask ask and ask your palace important questions rather than hating Yoruba. Please note that your hatred of us meant nothing to us, so don't get back to me saying I don't hate Yoruba people. We don't notice you

@@ayilafola7156 The Oronba ado nonsense your ooni claim is a friction of self imagination, even after the acurelogy excavation, nothing was found in the site.but you Yoruba still continue with your propaganda, I which you will be sincere enough to answer my questions, which of the oduduwa children gave birth to the ooni? How many Saudi's people have you seen bearing oduduwa and what does oduduwa mean in Saudi's language? What does osangangan mean in Yoruba or Saudi's language?. The problem with you Yoruba is the Muslim conquest that still within you, gave you a slaves name yaribawa to hoodwink you and want you to hold your elegance to Saudi's, because you were conquer by the fulani, slaves master. No edo person hates Yoruba people, it's the other way round, we gave you kingship, what we get back from you was backstabbing which we have to fight against it. There was nothing like Yoruba kingdom in the past, Benin kingdom rule almost the entire southern Nigeria to Benin republic, Togo, Ghana which the landmark is still there. This artifacts were not taken from the Oba palace alone. The British expedition did not take all 2500 from the palace. From lokoja down to port harcourt were taken advantage progressively.
Note that everyone south too had their shrine they worshipped to before Christianity showed up. Denying the rest tribes their prowess in spirituality is to say only the Modern region called Edo was spiritual with isn’t fact.
Note that the elephant tusk were looted from the south and I’ll prove this. The ibos identify with elephant tusk jewelry around the wrist and ankle. The modern region called Edo were rewarded with beads from the Portuguese that they still use till date worn by their relatives all over the new Nigeria .
The Oba of benin isn’t from that region as the new Ewuare has stated. He is from Allafin the original progenitor of the north who gave way for Odudua. They hail from Egypt -Mecca-Sudan before landing in Ife. The present Oba doesn’t not deny this.
    Offer your rebuttal.
2, Is the Obi title for the ibos?
To further comprehend their plan to take over the entire south, the Oba sent his brothers and made them Obis of different regions down to the south past Abragada. One must ask, why would a chief from a village sell its own people during slavery? History makes it seem the Ibos sold themselves from Aboh to Badagri and etc but it was an indirect rule by the Oba to his trusted relatives armed with gun boats gotten from the Europeans. It will be important to know that the Ozo title is for the Ibos and not the Obiship title. Hence, they always met indigenous people wherever they terrorized. To prove this, during war times chalks from Aruosa were sent to the Obis, owas and olojas which are know to be the ruling prince of the benin Empire.
It would only be wise to give what belongs to the real aboriginal people who were before the Northern empire sent a proxy king down south.
Ps: I’m very happy the Brit stated he was from Dahomey. Backed by Europeans to conquer his people and sell slaves.
The most important thing the Brit said was he ruled from the Niger River 200 miles approximately 1hr40mins drive .
The question then is where does River Niger start from?
The Oba of benin owes repetitions to blacks sold into slavery from that region. He was a business man and made a profit.
