1:03:06 interview with Sandra Bezic
I agree that Jonathan provides an interesting balance and often articulates artistic perceptions that really bring depth to the conversation. We’re not tired of hearing his opinions from the opera world at all! Also, my sister and I do water running and 50% of our pool chats are about figure skating, so we don’t think Dave’s story of treading water and talking about figure skating is totally normal! 😆 Keep the great content coming! 🤩👍
…we do think it’s normal, not surreal at all 😂
I like Olivia's and Tim's rhythm dance, but it really stuck out to me how much more charisma and "pop" she has than he does currently. I hope he can relax and bring some more swagger and punch to match her.
Sandra giving me serious Lisa Kudrow vibes. I do mean this in a loving way. She's a legend!
Deanna and Max’s short is to the music « donnez-moi de l’oxygene »… Give me oxygen 😉
Wow! Thank you Dave! That was awesome. What a treat. To hear Sandra talk about the creative process like that is so cool.
🙏🙏
I like how during the interview you let people talk, but are ready with questions when the person has finished a thought.
Thank you
Chelsea Liu suffered a bad fall and experienced a concussion during a competition with Danny O'Shea. That's apparently what led to their split. It took time for Chelsea to heal. There was no guarantee she would come back to compete.
I was at Cranberry for the long programs. Lindsay was truly above and beyond everyone else. I love her dress. Hoping for a great season for her ❤
Did anyone video? In the audience?
Yay! I was waiting for this! Your tan looks amazing Dave!
❤️❤️
Another great episode, thank you!!
❤️❤️
😂😂”pulling the wagons on the Oregon Trail” Extra funny bc I just finished watching 1883 😀
Great show..always a pleasure to see Queen Sandra and listen to her "creative process"..Oppenheimer soundtrack? Where is Paul Wylie..Great line!
❤️❤️
I am sonexcited for Gracies book, mandatory reading
Sandra ♥ OMG! Thank you!
❤️❤️❤️
I always get so stressed out about Dave talking about what we need to do as perfectionists.
I have been a fan for ten years. You are fine just the psychotic way you are.
♥️
With the cold shower. As someone that had ADHD I did not know that a cold shower is great for getting your blood flowing
Let’s face it, when you say Olympic Team members, Polina’s name isn’t the 1st (or top 20) one u think of, which is why she’s always reminding us in her podcasts that she was one. Also why I think she’s twizzling us to death and still trying jump combos 🤷♀️
Dave, I love your shirt!
Thank you!!
I totally agree about the video. Out here on the west coast we can share videos we purchase. Some livestream the events free which is nice. Sad that no one was there that’s why we aren’t seeing any video. I bet some video companies are afraid of what might happen if they livestream I bet. Would’ve been nice to see though.
Darn it! I live 30 minutes from P-Town on Cape Cod! Hope you had a great time---it's a great place!
I did!
Shoma rarely uses his "for real" costumes at ice shows. Sometimes they are not yet ready, other times they probably want to have an element of surprise for the first competition...No mention of the One Piece On Ice ice show?
Sandra Bezic gives me an autonomous sensory meridian response.
10:42 is that the reason why I can't find any videos on Reddit? Meanwhile, videos from the Gensan event in Japan was available. There were some videos from the competitions in Canada too I guess USFS wants figure skating ro be an exclusive sport. Not for the common folk, even more exclusive than Tour de France and golf.
20:50 agree. The skaters had a rough outing in Japan
I loved hearing all your opinions on the show hope your having a great week ❤
❤️❤️❤️
Dave looking like a bronzed God!
Sandra ❤️ ⛸
❤️❤️
I don't understand what the Tarah and Danny remarks are. What did I miss?
Thanks for the info about cold showers. It just happens that the gym I go to ONLY has cold water, so yay. Unfortunately, we're in Florida so stay away.
😂😂
I would love to see USFSA’s financial info. Can’t pay for music rights, and possibly can’t afford the rights for videos of their own athletes from local videographers? Someone please explain. 😂😂😂
Speaking as a volunteer who is involved with hosting competitions at my daughters club ….. for qualifying competitions the vendors we use for video and photography agree to letting USFS using their work for promotional purposes. USFS has access to all of that - all they need to do is ask!
They use their video for IJS judging also
I saw a comment on Twitter sayin: if this skater (kaori) was an Eteri skater y’all would be throwing shit left and right” and I couldn’t agree more 👏🏼 it’s ridiculous how everyone tries to justify her weak performances while at the same time if some Russian skater had a bad skate they were all yelling
Timestamps would be great
Anthony looks like his mother but skates like his father. That's the issue
This is one of the funniest episodes evah 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
And Sandra is glorious as always ♥
❤️❤️
Honestly, Danny stuck with Tarah, perhaps longer than he should have (similar to Trennt Michaud sticking with Evelyn Walsh -- loyalty above & beyond. Fortunately, Trennt is now in a better, very promising partnership with Lia Perreira). Danny was clearly the more skilled partner in his tenure with Tarah. Sure, Tarah brought fierceness and dramatic flair but they were exceedingly slow. Why? Tarah had very poor skating skills, which never improved. You used to say how Danny had to practically drag Tarah along during crossovers. Thats why when Danny paired with Chelsea Liu, they looked so good together, fast and refreshing, aside from Chel's jumps.
Hi ALL.
Late arrival, just offering GREETINGS!
Hello there!
36:10 Season’s Best Pantomime
Pogorilaya also married at 19. It's quite common in Russia to marry young 🤷♀️
When is the decision about Russia being allowed back into figure skating? October for 1 Jan 24 reinstatement?
Olivia has outshone all 3 of her Dance partners with her vivacious personality and inate style. Tim needs to step up. But so far not impressed with any IAM choreo, be it Ontario or Montreal. Can only hope for improvements though agree with Jonathan the RD theme and requirements are weird.
Sometimes when one shines so bright that makes them bad team player - ofc I'm not blaming Olivia. I'm thinking more of f.e. how easily Scott gained his reputation of being hot headed etc i think it must be very hard for vivacious woman to find a partner to train in couple with
What the go fund me is it going to actually take for Deanna to medal at worlds this year??
Cranberry is not an actual competition. It’s not even fake shown on Peacock.
I didn’t actually think Trusova’s program was that bad! Maybe I’m just used to Cruella de Ville 😅😅😅😅 but I think she’s…making progress? That lift looked scary though, definitely should not skate pairs
Nice TAN Dave!
Thank you!
Michelle was doing 7 triples in her long program in August.
Just sayin’…
Polina is 1993-94 Nancy Kerrigan in 2023 to me.
Is Julia still Lindsay’s coach??????
Like wtf.
Shoma and Kao Miura SP were fantastic. A tragic thing with Japanese is that someone told them all the American pop singers are good and they attempt skating to Lana Del Rey or, even worse, to Taylor Swift (that one is particularly painful to listen to). That alone spoils 50% of my love for their skating skills. Aoki landing easily 3F+3Lo in the SP was brilliant to see - this early! Chiba is improving! Kaori is butch and making her look elegant is a mission impossible. She can impress with her edges and that's it. Rion Sumiyoshi will be tough to beat but her SP is wrong - insipid, outdated, or just plainly and simply awful!
I looove Hana Yoshida the most. To me she's EVERYTHING! I should wait to see what Kimmy Repond, Nina Pinzarone and the Koreans will present, to choose who to root for alongside Hana Yoshida : )
Liv Smart was the best in Quebec.. The styling was so fantastic and the way she carried herself through "Call Me" was great. They need more mileage and to work on the lifts and this will be a blast once the serious competitions begin.
Thank you for the interview with one and only Sandra!
