- Moscow Idaho Police held a press conference after Bryan Kohberger, 28, was arrested for the Idaho Murders. University of Idaho students Ethan Chapin, 20, Xana Kernodle, 20, Kaylee Goncalves, 21, and Madison Mogen, 21, were stabbed to death in an apartment on Nov. 13.

Did you know them? I am definitely not condoning murder, however, they were not "Angels." They were inconsiderate of their neighbors and seemed to cause trouble in their wake.
I used to live in a community of students and they the locals and old folks always invited me over for meals, they used to say they wished all there neighbours were Asian students, either from Asia or Chinese, because we was silent, there is nothing horrible then waking up at 2am with men and woman making loud noises making out,. But they did not deserve to die,. They should have been more careful with locks, and who they allowed into there home
Before a trail, justice is served. You must be a descendent of French Revolutionary turds which cheered as those were beheaded because of their wealth. Don't wish to see your type as a juror.
My God I can still hear the pain in the sheriff voice… God please grant healing to all who are hurting from this senseless tragedy. Punishment be swift !!!

I have the utmost respect for them keeping their cards extremely close to their chest!!! Not revealing information is KEY to the success of cases like this.

The poor Police chief/Sheriff. He’s seems quite relieved that it is search for a suspect is over.

In some ways, all the families, friends, students and residents of Moscow, Idaho are more or less victims. They've all been involved in a traumatic, life-changing event. This is one for the history books, films, books and ballads.

I'm glad that the families can now have some kind of much deserved closure, I can't imagine there is ever closure when you loose someone you love with all your being. I applaud the police, detectives and everyone else for their thorough work on the case. We all pray for the families and friends that will miss these four beautiful souls who so senselessly died before their time. May they rest in peace and may justice be swift.
I feel sorry for the victims and their families. And the suspects parents are probably shocked out of minds. What a shame. Lost lives for no reason.
Apologies are in order. They have known about this guy for weeks. The families were informed, but they didn’t want to scare the suspect. DNA is absolute. All of the doubters should apologize to the Moscow police department. Well done Moscow police dept.!!!

@Firewalker G first of all, none of us had a need to know. The families knew they had a suspect, and the police told them to feign frustration, so the killer would not be spooked. It's a trick law enforcement uses. Common sense, really. You, me. Everyone except the families do not have a need to know. Never tell the enemy your plans.

I hope this is a lesson for all the news stations broadcasting headings stating the case is running dry! The officer stated they can’t let details out of what they’re doing for good reason such as tipping off the suspect.

My husband's family, due to several people getting COVID, has not gotten together/exchanged Christmas gifts yet.
No matter how otherwise secular the suspect's family might be, if they observe Christmas at all, Christmas is very likely forever going to be darkened for them by its proximity to what happened today, on 12/30. If the family are Jews who observe Hanukkah, which this year ended Dec. 26, the same will likely be true for that celebration.

Idaho had the death penalty. A scheduled execution was canceled in November because they are having a hard time finding the drugs used.

Most likely they were asleep when first attacked, but one or more woke up enough to try to defend themselves.
I'm guessing this was a thrill killing, that with his background in criminology he thought he could beat the investigative system.

Im from North Carolina and was in Idaho about 2 months ago. I was shocked something like this took place in such a small town. I use to drive and deliver good all across the US and I remember how nice the people were to me in Idaho that I almost decided to move there. I was as far north as coeur d'alene an as far south of twin falls. The people were extremely nice and hospitable. Im happy this low life was captured it took some time but remember this isn't the tv show SVU this is real world good job.
I have been all over the US as well and agree that the people of Idaho in general are very hospitable and it’s a great place to live. As a native Idahoan we are at least relieved that the sociopath that committed these truly heinous acts in our state is not from Idaho.

What's sad is so many were to quick to underestimate the police department other law officials in publicly saying they weren't doing anything to solve this case and that they couldn't handle a case of this nature I've been following this since day one I know as a former employee of a law firm paralegal student that they couldn't give out pertinent information because it would have most likely compromised the case I knew they had a suspect every thing takes time so that there would be no chance of a Mistral or dismissing of the case . I was even having dreams about this my heart goes out to the families of all the victims and this is a valuable lesson to the public never discredit our law officials this was a complicated case needed to hold information From the public so they could get him with out him knowing they were on to him . Thank u to all who were responsible for the arrest of the murderer of these innocent victims. I'm from Iowa and I grew up in a small town myself we have never had a case this severe where I'm from hope they never do .I've been praying for this day when an arrest would be made .
I have no doubt this man will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

I've seen horrific crimes done by eleven, 12, and 13 year olds - one kid tried to rape his little 6 year old neighbor - it didn't work, but - then murdered her, I believe he strangled her - so she couldn't tell. Criminal psychopaths don't have to be old and experienced, or even adults, to inflict unspeakable evil and violence.
Find his partners in the crimes that murdered 4 human beings who had their whole life ahead of them
That press conference was a waste of time. I can understand not being able to answer certain questions but it seemed like they weren't allowed to answer any questions. Should have started the press conference with "We are not going to answer any questions" and then make their statement. Would have saved some time.

Great conference except that they couldn't reveal what tip led to capture? Logic to that? Not sure why they even led reporters to believe they could share something. Waste of time in that respect.
He didn't do this alone. He made statements to the police that arrested him in Pennsylvania saying " Have you made any other arrests?"
He's playing some type of game. Again thinking he is smart. He did go to school, PhD focused or graduated idk for criminal psychology or that type of career. That's just my suspicion.

And we don't know any facts about the case. This could be a completely random event where the victims had no prior contact with the killer(s).
When I lived in New Hampshire there was a case where a mother and her 10yearold daughter who was sleeping with her were attacked in their sleep by four young men wielding machetes. Completely random. Happened to be the house chosen by these monsters who wanted to know what it was like to kill someone. The mother was nearly decapitated, but the little girl miraculously survived.
I believe your post was made in good faith, but to say people should be more careful can be interpreted as ascribing blame to the victims and attributing some degree of responsibility to them for their awful fate.
Today, I think everyone tries to be careful but to single out one group unfairly puts the burden of preventing a crime like this on them.
