Baby girl did it ALLLLLLLLLLLLL and she delivered the lines so well. She ATE this film up and is the main reason for the paychecks, this was her movie hands down. Love our little Matilda 😍😍🔥
I think the fake teeth, makes her face shaped differently, which consequently makes it look closer to Miley Cyru's face, that and also the color of her eyes in that scene. I literally Googled it if it was really Miley Cyrus in that specific scene, or another actor replacing Kathryn Newton in just that scene. I'm glad I was *not* the only one!

I am so glad that you loved this movie! I saw it in theaters and it was so much fun. I absolutely loved it. Alisha Weir was beyond impressive in this role.
Is anyone else a fan of "Downton Abbey"? When Matthew Goode showed up, I was like, "Awww...Downton Abbey reunion!" This was such a good movie, but I wish they hadn't spoiled the fact that Abigail was a vampire in the trailer. That would have been a hell of a reveal.
Yessss! I watched your full watchalong and yelled out loud when you said Kathryn looks like Miley 🤣 I'm so glad I'm not the only one that thought that. Also with your thirst for Dan Stevens, thank you for validating me TWICE lmao. Him in 'The Guest' like . . 🥵
I just wish the trailers and poster art didnt give it away that Abigail is the vampire.. especially considering the movie plays out like we, as an audience, arent supposed to know either.. Otherwise, super fun movie!
As much as I envy anyone who was able to go into this movie not knowing that she’s a vampire, I really don’t see how they could’ve successfully marketed the movie without that info. There certainly isn’t enough plot to make it seem interesting without showing the fact that it’s a monster movie and given that the movie is called Abigail _and_ the fact that the little girl would stereotypically be the least likely one to be the monster, it actually would’ve been a pretty lame/obvious twist for most people had they framed it as one. Having said all of that, the people who went into this movie totally blind absolutely had the best experience. Even so, I loved this movie. I am now, officially, a huge Radio Silence fan. Everything they’ve made has very much been my cup of tea!
I just watched this yesterday and I love it already. The only thing I knew about it going in: it's directed by Radio Silence and it's about vampires. Hearing it open with the song from Dracula (1931) I knew it was going to be a good time.
heh, saw the thumbnail for the vid and thought "I wonder if nicksaysboo has done this one", guess I only subliminally recognized you in the hat ; ). Fun flick, think I liked Ready or Not slightly more, but Abigail was well cast. funny reaction as always.
15:54 First of all: it's not a song. A song is a musical composition with lyrics performed by the human voice. But nobody is singing to this piece of music. 😉 Secondly, it's the main theme from Tchaikovsky's ballet "Swan Lake" ("Лебеди́ное о́зеро"). 🙂
Alisha (the girl who played Abigail) Is such a good actress! Even though she has only been in like 3 movies! If I'm not wrong her first role was Matilda in the Matilda movie musical then after she played in wicked little letters, Abigail is her latest movie. Even then in her first ever role she ate that up too! This girl has such a bright future ahead of her and I'd love to see more of her in future movies
I’m so glad you liked the movie!!! I’ve been looking forward to your reaction since they released it on digital. As for Sammy as a vampire looking more like Miley than Kathryn, I had to do side by side photo comparisons and it’s the teeth. Not that Miley has giant fangs or anything. But her smile is mostly above the teeth line. The vamp teeth make Kathryn’s mouth/smile larger, so that’s why.

Alisha Weir is what makes this movie, fabulous! I think she was 13 or 14 when they actually filmed this. Show me how many young girls at that age can act in a movie like this. The entire cast is great, but they’re certainly not carrying the film. 🎉 Good job to her!

The ONE and only problem I have is that Abigail (according to the internet) is more than 1000 years old, which makes ME think that she would be plenty strong enough to whup the shit out of Frank even after he got turned. Hey, Nick Van Helsing, ha! Looking good! I finally managed to get around to watch both versions of the reaction - it is quite interesting to compare them and especially when and where you get to edit the comments and references. I actually enjoyed the movie more than I initially thought I would but granted, I knew little of the plot (besides the vampire daughter thing...) and setting, to which I agree it reminded me somewhat of Radio Silence earlier films. The atmosphere and the characters were definitely the highlights for me, especially the acting by Berrera, Newton (likewise, first time I think her acting suited the character!) and Weir, respectively, while Stevens' portrayal of Frank somehow turned out to be my favorite, lol.
