We decided on a whim to take a quick family trip to NYC for Christmas and it was so magical! We're sharing with you some of our top travel tips to Eat, Move, and Rest our best in the city, how to stay healthy as a vegan, and some other wisdom we picked up along the way. Doing unplanned things can be super anxiety-inducing, especially for two Type A individuals, but we stretched ourselves, and we're learning to bend, not break. So appreciated this video! Would LOVE to see more travel videos like this and how you eat. Rusty said “you can find vegan food anywhere”. I always feel shy to ask non vegan restaurants for vegan food. I loved how Erin was talking about meditation with the kids playing in the background. That’s real life! Lol

Erin, I wholeheartedly agree with your thoughts on travel and how it disrupts our normal wellness routines! I get so anxious when I can’t do my normal workouts or make my fave healthy meals with my special superfood powders. I try and remind myself that these travel experiences add to my mental and emotional health. I appreciate your outlook to reframe it as a chance to level up. This was really helpful for me today! I miss my city so much, since we moved to ATL and the pandemic. We used to go every year with the kids. The city is magical especially during the Christmas season. 😢

NY is so pretty at Christmas time! I've never been so thanks for the tip about staying near Columbus Circle. I try to do what you guys do, go to the grocery store and stock up on fruit and fresh snacks to go. Glad you enjoyed your trip!

NYC is Awesome!! Especially during the Holidays. Enjoy your trip! It will be special memories. We use to take our son every year -he’s 28 years old now. He still loves to go and keep the tradition. (We live in Pennsylvania-outside Philadelphia-takes us about less than 1 and a half hrs by train-so we are fortunate there. Love your tips too! ❤

Fun! Love seeing a lot of the places there from y’all filming them. I’ve always wanted to explore NYC for like say a 4 dayer, but of course could never stay a long time nor live there ha. And yes, we’re more country folks, not city and plus there are still negative things there like how can’t carry (to protect, again, we’re country folks 😉) but it still would be neat to experience it for sure, mainly during Christmas time!! 💚❤️🤍🎄🎶🚂🎅

Merry Christmas.. love your channel and have been watching for years. I’m a New Yorker but left the city for greener pastures upstate . Glad you all had a good and safe time. @@EatMoveResthi! We left Queens and out jibs in Manhattan 43 years ago! Made it to ulster county.. a good 2 hour drive from NYC . An hour out of NY are Rockland and Westchester counties… much more congested than the counties a little further up. Beautiful towns though. Sleepy Hollow for instance 😍 and still beautiful areas too. New York State is beautiful. We don’t go down to the city at all anymore since all of our relatives have passed on. How more lovely would NYS be if your beautiful family were part of it! Stay well ❤❤
Thank you for sharing your trip to New York City! it’s been a few years ago since I’ve been to New York City, but I still remember the sounds, smells, and the food from New York City. I was lucky enough to see a Broadway play which made for a well-rounded experience. Thank you for sharing the great hacks you used for fueling up in a new unfamiliar place. With a little creativity, it’s very doable. Quick question were you able to find any bathrooms? I remember when we were there there were no bathrooms available To the public, only if you went into a food establishment and ate there. Kind of challenging especially with kids lol.
Hey yea its very difficult but people are nicer when you have kids, we would ask for restrooms at stores and they would say no, then ask again for the kids and they would show us back haha... But yea it's not always easy! Thanks for being here and following along!

Can you share any specific restaurants that were standouts? I went to Little Italy once and managed to pick the restaurant with the worst food ever. But the host and chef had a screaming match that ended in a fistfight, so it does get high marks for entertainment value. I want a better experience when I return to NY😂

greetings form Bklyn to you guys. So glad you are enjoying your trip. NY looks so great in videos and for sure it’s unusual. But it has changed and it is not the same, sadly. Also, EMF here is ubiquitous. NY was a love of my life for 25 years. But love fades too haha. thanks for showing such a great video and showing NY as a desirable place ❤
