I've been growing Hoyas for nearly 20 years and water propagation is still my favorite. Absolutely loved seeing the family going for a walk (and a good run) in this beautiful weather. Also, enjoyed the plant chores, but, why are your plant chores so much more relaxing than mine? (Lol.)
So glad to hear that with your 20 years of experience you still enjoy using water the most! Plant chores has become more relaxing because I can escape outside to the greenhouse 😆.
Love the intro! So cute and sweet ❤. Yeah something about hoyas in glass jars, they just look so pretty. Another relaxing video. Hope you and your family have a relaxing turkey day!
Hello, Dear Lord. where has time gone. Ur beautiful son already walking. Always enjoy looking at ur beautiful Hoyas. Ur one of the reasons I started purchasing Hoyas..Thank U
Really enjoyed this video as I now have some Hoyas so it was very helpful for when I try to propagate. Love your cool selection of pots and yes, the head planter looks really cool with the long piece left on. Top dressing sets them of great but does it make it more difficult to tell when they need watering as you can’t see or feel the soil? Thanks for sharing another calming plant chore session.
I'm so used to knowing when my plants need to be watered that I can tell by lifting the pot usually but if its difficult for you when it comes time to water, I would suggest to skip the top dressing. Also I use terracotta so I don't worry about overwatering as much.
Thanks. Am slowly repotting my plants from nursery pots to terracotta. Once I get used to judging the weight I think I will top dress as it really finishes off the plant. Still new to all this so it may take a while.😊
@@mypetitegarden I love when you said...I'm going to do it 🤣 I did it🤣 there done🤣 especially with your gorgeous wilbur graves china...I'm missing that wilbur in my collection 🤣🤣

I’m trying to understand your decisions on what goes into stratum. Wet sticks, I get. Stems to short for water or too heavy. Am I on the right track? I just ordered stratum. Not new to plants but new to Hoya. I’ve tried perlite, vermiculite and moss, not impressed in any of that, really. What’s the benefit of stratum over pon? Love your relaxing videos!
I have a whole video dedicated to stratum, feel free to take a look at that if you are interested. I am no expert with stratum, mostly just experimenting. It's best to try a few plants with it first and see how it works out for you. Sometimes different substrates work differently for each person. In terms of in this video, I chose to put the cuttings with shorter stems in the stratum vs water because its easier to keep it stable.
Saw your Hoya propagation and reminds me of the lush Hoya elliptica plant I got recently. Unhealthy vines tangle around one another, soil wasn’t looking healthy. I should just only untangle it and let it recuperate, I have regret chopping up the Hoya elliptica and majority of the cuttings are not doing well in water, so much has rot!😢 now I left with few cuttings and the struggle to survive momma plant 😢 Lesson learnt! 🥲🥰
Lovely Hoyas ,they look so cute in these pots!👍
💚🌵☘️🌱
All the Hoyas look absolutely beautiful in their new pots. Water propagation is my go to method. Looking forward to your next video🪴🌿🌱
Thank you! 💕
Love the intro 🥰 and all the beautiful Hoyas! 😍
Thank you! 💕
What a pretty park. Autumn in the northern hemisphere is so colourful. i love the man with his long ponytail. It's cute!
Beautiful intro ❤ Your little boy and all your little Hoya babies are all growing fast. They’re all heathy and thriving. You’ve got great mom skills.
Aw thanks so much!! ☺️
Beautiful ❤ your pots and jars are very cute

Your intro thoooo 🥰 Loved seeing your son walking (while holding onto both your Husbands & your fingers 😂) Your Hoyas always look dope 🙌🏾🌱🌱🌱
Aww thank you! I know, I melt when he wants to hold both of our hands together.

You have the cutest terra cotta pots. How do you decide when to repot a hoya?
Can you link where you get your pots? They’re so cute!💚
lovely place to walk!

Soooooo enjoyed this chop and prop video. I have to do the same...you gave me courage. 🤣

Cute face pot!
I went to my local plant store, “Leaf and Vine”, and got myself a Hoya Crassipetiolata after watching this video. 🤣
Yay! Hope it grows well for you! It's such a good one to have. 😊
How are you accomplishing such fast root propagation (besides putting it in water)? Do you utilize a heat mat or indoor greenhouse?
Brand new to your channel. What are you using to top dress your hoyas? Very beautiful!
Hoyas so cute!!! Amazing how they rooted in a week. Do you mix anything in water? Or just use tab water?
Just regular tap water! 😁
Lovely. Just wondering if you ever trellis your Hoya?
Great propagating video & rooting progress. Thank you!
Where did you get those orange anchors for the small cuttings in stratum?
I came here to ask the same thing. I looked in the Amazon shopping link and didn't see them.
I have them added to my Amazon store :)
Added to Amazon store :)
How do we get to that Amazon store?
@@tracycruzen6253 the link is in the video description.
Where did you purchase the decorative plant pole in the Hoya’s pot at 1:39? :)
💚
Do you reuse the top dressing when you repot?
I'm wild about those terra cotta face pots! Where did you purchase them? All the plants look really beautiful.
They are from a Mexican potter. You can find their info on Instagram @headplanter
lovely plant collection. Where did you got the face pot with crassipetiolata one? I wonder if there is delivery to the UK...
It is from a Mexican potter called Headplanter. You can their info them on Instagram @headplanter

The plant pins are linked in my Amazon store :) There's all kinds of feathered friends around, not sure what it was lol.
You don’t hesitate to repot and prop in the fall? My plant growth has slowed right down with the shorter days and lower humidity.
I repot all year round!
I think your crassipetiolata splash might have broad mites.

Sometimes cuttings just don't make it and that's okay. You tried your best. Hopefully the few you have left will survive. 🤞
