@@sophiesbackyardwildlife Hi, how soon after placing the box did they start using it? I just placed one in November of 2020 and still nothing.
@@Rob_2020 well, I knew they were around when I first placed the box. they used the first season. The thing is even if they are around but have a nest they like and use every year, they might not come to yours unless something happens to their nesting site. Do you have them around?

You can see her snap her beak as a warning at 1:34 and a few seconds later. Usually by time a squirrel gets a good look at an owl it's already in the owl's talons. He might just be totally excited to see what an owl actually looks like through the safety of his perch and knowing she won't go after him. :D

@@trishhaycraft8610 Squirrels can take over/raid nests and they have been known to destroy eggs/eat chicks. Not sure about Owlets
