- There is going to be a new Louis Vuitton Alma BB in Damier Azur on March 25th. Haven't we all been waiting for a LV Alma in the Iconic Damier Azur canvas? It is finally happening at Louis Vuitton in shape of the Alma BB tophandle with a shoulder strap in the checked Damier Azur print. The Alma is a handbag icon from the brand Louis Vuitton and the Alma BB is the trendiest version of it. It has been around in monogram canvas, damier ebene and epi leather for quite a while, but many Louis Vuitton Lover have been waiting for the Alma to finally be offered in the summery Damier Azur print. But this new LV Alma BB is not the classic version, it does come with treated leather handles and braiding. I'm very curious for the price point and do expect it to be higher than on the regular Canvas Alma BB and even higher than on the Epi Leather Alma BB.

It's GORGEOUS!! I absolutely love the handles. For some reason though, it reminds me of when fake bags are made in combinations that don't actually exist 😆 I think once I start seeing reviews on here and see it listed on the website then I'll get used to it. I love the handles! It would have been too boring without that detail, I don’t think DA is a busy print by itself. But, I would be scared to use a bag this light colored though, with these prices I want my bags to stay as pristine as possible.

I have multiple Alma BBs, and I would love to have one in DA, but I have to agree with you about the handles. They would have looked better plain.

The handles def ruin the bag. Alma bb is my fav lv style. I don't mind paying a bit extra (I got the alma bb world tour version) but at least make it pretty...

I have a love hate relationship with the handles, and I personally would think the handles would look WAY better if the whip stitching was just the pink- I don’t get the brown portion since the lining is just pink!

Alma bb is my Favorite bag. I have several Alma bb and this is A BIG No because of handles. The handles look uncomfortable on the arm. Hand held.

I don't care for the braided handles and I didn't realize there's not already an Alma in azure. That surprises me. I've always thought the Alma is a beautiful bag to use but not functional for me. The treated leather is an interesting option over the vachetta. I know Yota is already eyeing this bag as a possible next purchase (but let's watch her buy 3 between now and its release date). ;D
It‘s really kinda surprising, it took that long, until LV releases an Azur Alma.

The Alma bb is adorable. I own it in the monogram and just think it's the cutest bag. I'm not loving the handles on this new DA Alma bb though 😢. I guess you could wrap them with scarves but I don't do that with my bags so I guess it's a pass for me lol.
Considering this one probably will come at a higher price point, because of the handles, adding scarves to cover them, is a funny thought to me 😆 (but you‘re right, that definitely would work on that bag for me 😁)
I think it’s gorgeous and especially love the handles lol - wondering if it’s a spring/summer bag…also, I would worry that leather braiding would come undone over time…ideally, I’ve been waiting/wanting a metallic vernis Alma BB which I missed out on last couple years u fortunately.
The metallic ones are really stunning 😍 (but I missed them aswell, I have been too scared for so much light colored vernis 😅). I‘m curious to see aswell, if it is a limited edition for spring/summer or it will be in the standard collection for a longer time. There will be a NeoNoe with that kind of handle aswell (which makes me think, it‘s more of a limited edition 🤔💕)

I like the DA in SLG’s because like you, I don’t have money to burn 🔥 I’m still hopeful for a metallic vernis and will just wait or I may get the Cluny BB but still hesitant. The preloved market vernis is not in the best condition and a tad bit overpriced as per usual with those sites lol 😆

Hi Stephanie, happy to have you here! I love my Epi leather Alma bb and absolutely can recomend that stlye and size! I never went for the Azur one, but I definitely would never sell on the pink one I own either 💕

I have a severe autoimmune pain condition and require a light weight bag with a comfortable crossbody strap that doesn’t dig in to my neck. @@StephanieRankin-j6u both very beautiful bags aswell, but I never tried one of them on (so I unfortunately don’t know, if they are lighter or more heavy, compared to the Alma bb). In my opinion the Alma doesn’t have much weight to it, so it might work. Maybe you have a chance to try on all three bag styles in the boutique?

Aaaah! I love it!!! I kind of like the handles, but it would be better without it. I thought the same when I saw it, the handles are an excuse to up the price. I do want an Alma BB, but I might want Epi leather in a light color just for something playful.
If the handles weren’t braided and the price point was the same as on the regular one, I‘d be very tempted 😁. Epi leather is a great choice (and the US website offers so many fun colors 😳 in Germany there are only 4 right now)
Now I checked back and there are only 3 colors on the US website 😳 (have I been dreaming about all the others?! I was sure I saw them, when I prepared for that video 😂)
There are 8 colors currently on the website. Poppy red, black , and navy has the thin strap. The green, yellow, light blue , quartz, and hot pink has that think strap. I wanted a light color one but with the thin strap.
I initially thought it was a some sort twilly on the handles when you showed first the bag .

"To be dramatic" 🤣 I like it better with none braided handles too. But I don't mind them. My opinion is as same as yours! I prefer lighter vachetta color more than honey golden color if I have to choose. I was so happy to discover the leather in this bag is treated so no changing in color also it is free from all those worries and stains but really handle is stopping me from purchsing this bag. For me if the handles were the same clean looking treated leather than it would have been so easy and 100%. With higher price point with handles I am not a fan of? I am not sure yet I am considering it cause of the treated leather combo with DA print. Thank you for the review🤍

@@LuMiLevelUp Hey, I have really thought about it and decided not to get it. If it were to be the same price as DE print which is AUD2550 then I would have even with the hefty price increase than when I purchased my alma DE which was around 1800. It is AUD3150 nearly double the price by then. I just couldnt justify 600 more dollars for the handle I dont like. If I didnt have my alma bb and if it were the first alma then I might have though. I am just crossing my fingers for LV to release other bags in damier azure with that light treated leather🤞

I feel the same, I love Damier Azur and the treated leather makes it so tempting (but as I mentioned, the handles on this one ruin it for me 😅). Someone dropped in the comment, it's going to be 1600€ - which isn't as bad, as I would have expected 😆

Finally getting to commenting!! It's gorgeous, but I'm sure I won't buy one, alas. 1. The price, and most probable difficulty in getting one. 2. I already have two azur bags I love. 3. I own a leather Coach bag that is more or less identical in size and shape. 💙✨ I'm not scared of damier azur at all, I know from experience it's more durable than people realize!
I think that‘s exactly the point with Damier Azur: people are too scared to even try it, but the ones that have, know it’s not that delicate at all 😁💕

Tbh I’m surprised they haven’t done it sooner seeing Alma BB is one of their most iconic designs and should have always been available in all three canvases. I would purchase it if it were in a larger size. The BB is to small for my items. Remember last year LV had similar handbags with light blue leather incorporated in their handles. This year they are going for pink. Thanks for filming!

I would be okay with the braided handle if it was just in pink, or white on white braid. or even blue and white braid. I completely agree its too much going on to have tan and pink braid, white leather with cream Damier Azur check. maybe it will look better in person and grow on us? time will tell! Great video!

I’m shocked but in the best way ever. I have the Alma BB in the Damier Ebene and it’s definitely one of my favourite bags. My second bag was also the neverfull in the Damier Azure as well.🥰 I agree the handles on this bag are a little too much detail for me and do believe it’s an excuse to raise the price. I guess we will all see when it comes out in March. Will definitely look forward to seeing it in person.🥰

I always wanted this bag in cream empriente hope they release it this year but would like this one too! I don’t think the handles are too much as I would wear with the handles down most of the time as I would wear crossbody. I am older so do you think these is more for the younger gals?

I think it’s the least valued print but it’s making a comeback this summer. White bags are The colour right now
For me it has always been a favourite 🤍 the only thing that worried me a little bit about it, was the vachetta - but now that there is treated leather 🙌💕
@@LuMiLevelUp I have one piece and I was so worried it was dirty but I also never wiped it. I took a antibacterial wipe and did a clean sweep for the first time, it looked brand new. But I am worried there is alcohol in the wipes, it's st. marcs. Do you know if that's a bad move?
@@katherinekim4303 I’m sorry, I don’t know that particular brand… in general I wouldn’t recommend to use anything with alcohol in it. But I don’t think doing it once, will harm your bag. Maybe wipe over the canvas parts again with a damp cloth, so there‘s no alcohol left on the bag. I would recommend to use baby wipes the next time 👶🏼 . If they are good enough for baby skin, for sure they are for our bags aswell 💕

It's a pass for me as well, mostly because of the handles 🤣 I like the Damier Azur look, but not on me, so I've always gone for Damier Ebene when it comes to LV (except for the Pochette Metis). And as always, I don't like the black adhesive on any bag that is not black as well 🤣 But I am excited to see what the bag will be sold for 🤔 Thanks for the update anyways 😊👍❤

I love DA and on an Alma, would definitely choose it over the monogram. (That huge vachetta bottom on the monogram one just scares the bejesus out of me!) Of course, we can't say the DA won't be as prone to marks being so light colored but one can hope! That said, I still would go for the DE any day. It flatters the Alma shape more than any of the other patterns imho. Also the busy handles of this new one are not up my alley. My eye can't settle on one part of the bag longer than a minute.😬
If it had plain handles, I would be super tempted, but like this, I think I can pass 💪💕 feel you so much about that bag beeing to busy that way!
