i used to listen to nitti allllll the time when i was about 17. the arpeggios in the beginning of Skitzo were crazy. Nitti had Tom Knight (drummer) on a few tracks from that album. They were such a great combination. Anyway. Great player here. Glad to see he is still making his rounds.
So much musicality!! The more I know Nitti, the more I like his music. He is perfectly able to play as a side man, precise and discrete, and when the momento come, his solos are really creative and soulful.
Although I was not a fan of Ibanez early on, the multitude of great players I met that used sr models clued me into their advantages and now my collection is all Ibanez except my one Sire P7 five string. Got me an SRsc805 singlecut and the terrafirma btb sixer... So easy to play its ridiculous! Best bang for the buck, though not saying they are good for cheap... They're great all around and really listen to what the players demand
H. Hetschko he has different electronics and pickups - probably the same as a warrior bass- Barts and maybe an obp3- either way, what sounds like shit on a soundgear are the ebq iii preamps- remove those, and run it passive- it sings.
Well, 10 years ago, Adam Nitti was definitely one of those "can't do it on camera" type dudes. But looks like he was humble, realized he needed to get better, and did exactly that. Good job guy.
Papa John has spent his time well since parting ways with the pizza franchise! Holy Shit... I'd have to say his bass licks are A LOT tastier than his pizza!
I own an SR5000 prestige model.. judging by the way my bass sounds, and the way Nitti's sounds im willing to bet the real magic is those Bartolini pickups he's got in there.. :)
It's an Ibanez LA custom shop 5 string soundgear with bartolini jazz bass pickups positioned in the exact same spots as a mid 70's jazz bass. Swamp ash body, maple neck and capped maple fretboard with 12" radius, 24 frets, 2+3 headstock and a bartolini 3 band preamp with adjustable mid frequency switch. 19mm string spacing. Look up the video of Adam playing "The Strut" live to REALLY hear this bass in action with both pickups on and the 70s jazz bass tone in full swing. I really want Ibanez to make this a production model. I'd pay up to $2K for one.
Okay hold it! Instead of playing some $5,000 custom axe, he took an old Ibanez Soundgear, gut it, refinished it, and tricked it out into that beauty? Next stop, eBay!!!
Hey Teacher, my dog actually did not eat my homework. I simply paid attention and actually did my homework and here is the proof! Try keeping up.................
The distance between the ramp and the strings is small, and when you play it prevents your fingers from getting “stuck”. Alternating between strings becomes, after practice, way easier.
Never heard him until now...He's amazing!
I was listening Sonny Emory in a video and in that song there was him..
So I'm here...great surprise!
Absoltely incredible playing. I'm quite in awe as to how someone can be so good. Amazing!

Adam is definitely one of the best modern bass players. His sound and technique is amazing!

So much musicality!! The more I know Nitti, the more I like his music. He is perfectly able to play as a side man, precise and discrete, and when the momento come, his solos are really creative and soulful.
One of my top favorite bass players.. Have all his albums..✌🏼😁
Adam Nitti is by far my favorite player. His lines are so tasteful and plays rather reserved considering the caliber of his skill.
Always nice to hear a fellow bass player thanks Adam

Awesome!!!!
Love ❤ Pro II ❤❤
Impressive playing and what a great tone from his fingers - and his soundgear bass - I always thought they were liveless.
H. Hetschko it's all in the hands. Some of the best sound I've gotten in love settings was with my soundgear
H. Hetschko he has different electronics and pickups - probably the same as a warrior bass- Barts and maybe an obp3- either way, what sounds like shit on a soundgear are the ebq iii preamps- remove those, and run it passive- it sings.
Eh... I like to ask the other bass player at church if I can use is sound gear. Way better tone than me schecter with emgs
Reminds me of Gino Vanelli, Brother to Brother. Awesome playing.
wow!
Thats a SR body with a BTB-Fender neck. With man having reached the moon its funny that we still cant make guitars like this wonderful piece here.
a master...
Reminds me of some early Alan Holdsworth music, good stuff.

So inspiring!!!

Neat to note the Sperzel tuners on his, as opposed to the Gotohs on the production model.

Smokin!
EXCELLENT !!!!!!!!!
Papa John has spent his time well since parting ways with the pizza franchise! Holy Shit... I'd have to say his bass licks are A LOT tastier than his pizza!
Great music! Very beautiful sound! Can someone reccomend bands and albums that sound like this?
racman996 Chick Corea Elektric Band
Anything by Uzeb, most of Alain Caron's solo albums.
I've seen in his channel played the same song and he has a blue bass too, but what happened to it?.
Garegh62 Ok thanks bud

It's funkytime. Dig it. Great music. I love it.
its fusiontime...
1:40 The hairs on my neck stand UP!! Best seat in the house too, on top of an Aguilar 15" rumblin'.....
that bass be bad ass Ibanez , best bass playing ever.
They should release it as a signature 5 string
I own an SR5000 prestige model.. judging by the way my bass sounds, and the way Nitti's sounds im willing to bet the real magic is those Bartolini pickups he's got in there.. :)
What effect pedals were used in this?
🤝帅🌈帅🤝
can you make a review of the Cort GB 54? thanks!
I heard if you buy that bass, you will play like him!
Damn that bass looks awesome. Which bass is that?

Adam posted a picture on instagram with all those details. I spent very little time learning that information lol.
Okay hold it! Instead of playing some $5,000 custom axe, he took an old Ibanez Soundgear, gut it, refinished it, and tricked it out into that beauty? Next stop, eBay!!!
ron bZoom He has his own Ibanez models AFAIK
Boy am I out of touch. I had no idea: www.ibanez.com/products/eb_sig_series17.php?year=2017&area_id=3&cat_id=2&series_id=64
he's been an Ibanez endorsee for quite a few years.. lol. :)
not quite. the red one is a custom model Ibanez made for him.
He used warrior basses for years before Ibanez
Hey Teacher, my dog actually did not eat my homework. I simply paid attention and actually did my homework and here is the proof! Try keeping up.................
What is this ''box'' thing between pickups?
+Bolchoseth a so called ramp. Makes especially fast fingerstyle techniques easier.
The distance between the ramp and the strings is small, and when you play it prevents your fingers from getting “stuck”. Alternating between strings becomes, after practice, way easier.
Barely can hear the bass
really? stands out in my monitors
Jay Anson Try head phone, I think the bass sound is quite clear 😊👍🏼
Fast skillful playing, not original at all, neither is guitarist. This could be dated in the 1980's and nobody would know. As craft, very good
