  • It's day four of our five day backpacking trip on the Dientes Circuit in Isla Navarino, Chile. And if there's one thing you learn about Patagonia is that the weather never plays around. Let's see how we handle today's hike.

Nothing beats flying halfway around the world to hike in the rain and snow! Cheers.

Neither rain nor sleet nor snow nor wind nor freezing temps nor mud nor scree nor obscurred views shall keep Nick and Jen from slogging on to their next campsite all the while with optimism and a sense of adventure! You two are unstoppable, bravo!

Wow, you guys are unstoppable!! Busted mic, snapped selfie stick, no visibility, a rocky precipice...a true "embrace the suck" attitude, love it!!! Keep the videos coming, we're hooked, and thank you for sharing!

Smiling amid the soaking wet mud and snow and not a whinging word among you. Real troopers. Good going both of you. Mark

HA! my 90yearold friend and I seriously enjoyed this entire circuit, though we were glad we weren't on it! Daron even became VERY concerned for your survival, not really realizing that the fact you posted these videos means you did in fact survive! Glad to hear it! He is now praying for you folks hoever, and just as seriously hopes you won't place yourself in such danger ever again! Unless of course you can post another video of it...we both love those! take care please, and keep on trucking! You are amazing and thanks for all you share!

great series! I had attempted the Dientes two years ago, but had to turn back on day 3 because of injury and inexperience. It can be a truly gnarly hike. Really enjoyed living vicariously through your vids.

Hey, Nick! Sorry.... had to chuckle with you thru some of this madness! It's miserable at the time, but when you look back, it's like 'We made it through all that!!' and SMILE!! Some of those scree slopes (and a special case) you can almost ride out just like a glissade... get a body of rocks around you, all moving with you... always ready to BAIL, and ride it out! Lovin' your vids, as always! And of course, wondering what you're up to, while keeping us occupied with Pat' vids! Thanks again, for sharing; SkajitEd (yes, I know I misspelled it!)

I can't imagine how extreme was this conditions. There's something in Patagonia that goes beyond the beautiful landscapes. It's something you feel, but I personally don't have a word for that. It's something special. Special like people who dare to get there and take risks to bring us the best experience. Thank you Nick and Jen, for this epic episode!

Praiseworthy perseverance. Thanks for sharing. The mucky conditions brought to mind a certain sitcom dialog: "Person2: But it rained last night. Person1: Exactly, this horse loves the slop. It's in his bloodlines. His father was a mudda', his mother was a mudda'. Person2: His mudda' was a mudda'? Person1: What did I just say?"

Damn that was nuts !!! That last stretch was something else . I was going to ask if hikers got the opposite direction on this circuit, but you answered that by saying" I can't believe anyone going up that " or something like that lol . Again thanks for sharing this and all your adventures Nick & Jen you guys rock !
