That is honestly the toughest part about fitness in my opinion. You wanna get fit and bulk up or whatever but now you have to actually be mindful of what you eat and how much you eat. If you have a love of ice cream or whole pizzas three times a week you're gonna have to sacrifice that for example.😭

As someone who has been working out and developed that line on the abs recently, I completely understand how she feels. Also, if you want muscle definition on the abs, weighted crunches does wonders.
For the record, muscles can form that quick. If she had a good amount of muscle before it's much easier to get them back, that's part of what muscle memory is

Yes, for most ppl, it's easy to form muscle in the begining or when you get back from a long gym break.
What's hard is doing it consistently, or if you want to grow the muscle even bigger

True, muscles take a while to grow, but losing fat is comparatively a lot faster, and what people call "definition" happens more thanks to low body fat than to muscle size

Just incase anyone needs to hear this, not everybody can form a six pack because your abdominal shape is largely based on genetics so some people can only get a 4-pack, some people get asymmetrical abs, some people get 8-packs, and some people get no visible separation in their abs. For example the Rock doesn’t have great ab genetics. So embrace what makes your body unique and try to be the best version of yourself and don’t be sad if you don’t have the best ab genetics

I doubt it's that, I think this is more of a case of muscle memory and losing bodyfat. It's relatively easy to get back to where you were even at a calorie deficit. Gaining after that while on a deficit is a whole other story, though.

It is not that simple. Abdominal muscles is a standard for all humans, otherwise we wouldn't have superior throwing skills compared to other animals. Exercising is to either show it and make it more define. You don't exactly 'build', but enhance its toughness

Lifegoal: become the hot fitness Kronii in all the art.
You can gain about 2 lbs. or about 1 kilo of muscle/ fat within 1-2 wks. The frequency of muscle loss in mass varies from bicep, abs, inner thighs, etc. but they go away just as quickly (between minutes, hours, and days). Consistency is key.
The rest is up to time and dedication because gaining 10 lbs of muscle/ fat (healthy fat) will prolly take about a year of consistency.
This is why many people bulk up to gain muscle. Just gain weight eating and then lowering your weight after achieving your weight.
The opposite is harder. Gaining muscle while losing weight comes down to eating healthy. (Protein)
as someone who goes from 95kg/209lbs to 71kg/156lbs myself I can confirm that intermittent fasting is really effective to enforce your exercise and now I'm stopped going to the gym for 6 months and still stable on 71 kg with fasting xD

It´s funny how people think that a 6 pack is caused by abs workouts. It´s not, abd r made in the kitchen, gym is good to give u volume and definition all round, but abs r BF related.

It is kind of both (with leanness being the bigger factor). The abs can hypertrophy like any other muscle. However, their maximal growth potential compared to other "show muscles" is very low, as well as being a very growth-resistant muscle because they are very volume-tolerant.

@@paulocezardinizjunior346 read what I said again. I agree, leanness (lack of fat (losing weight in a calotie deficit)) is the biggest factor for showing abs, and the easiest. But you do see very large, strong individuals who are higher body fat percentages showing abs because their abs are just so hypertrophied from the type of lifting they do, which proves that lifting CAN cause your abs to pop out.

This is key for people to understand. You don't actually lose weight by somehow "burning up" all your excess calories in the gym if you're fundamentally overeating by a bunch. It's just not possible. You have to bust your ass for an hour to burn the calories in one cookie. The only way to lose weight is by just controlling your intake. If you control your intake, you'll lose weight and/or keep weight off even if you're pretty inactive. Conversely, if you don't control your intake, you could spend 4 hours a day, every day, in the gym and still wind up significantly overweight. The idea that you go to the gym to burn calories is just a huge myth that's very destructive because it leads people to have incorrect assumptions about levels of eating that they can and can't get away with and still lose weight. You go to the gym to tone your muscles, build strength, and/or increase your cardiovascular capacity, not to burn up excess calories when you're overeating.

I guess for dudes it’s easy to get six packs by just fasting, but for girls it’s much harder. It’s better to get there by exercising, because you’ll be much stronger and have better posture.

Tried intermittent fasting, it's just a lazy way of controlling your diet. Either you eat better food to beat the cravings and calorie count or just cope
