I love the revamped design and vibe; you've smashed this Zoo. That little penguin climbing the wall should be called Spider-Flipper! 'Saltwater Bites' would have been a good play on name for the croc kitchen, also the point of sustainability is really good in my 9-5 I work in a similar sector to you and I get a bit sucked into the sustainability credentials & circular economy of products ect haha!
Ngl, this was an interesting video. Nice job with the zoo. Also, if it's okay for me to make a suggestion, I understand that your channel is primarily based on Planet Zoo, but just so that your channel isn't considered dead by the comments section with Planet Zoo ending soon (or more likely, dying), is it okay that I recommend to you a game I think you'll like called Prehistoric Kingdom? (Sure, it has Prehistoric animals over modern ones, but I personally think it is the perfect game to satisfy those who'd like more stuff to do with zoobuilding when Planet Zoo ends. (Plus, for the true og's of this channel, you could do the unique challenge of what I call "Prehistoric Kingdom Racing Tournaments", as I haven't seen anyone else (not even the content farms) do this sort of concept.) Also, it is getting updated consistently, with an update coming this month as of the time I type this (May be out shortly after I make this comment.), and the team behind the game definitely takes priority of Quality over Quantity (something I understand is somewhat controversial with Planet Zoo). Plus, it has wildlife expert Nigel Marvin as part of the game's experience.) So, yeah, like I said, consider the suggestion, but overall, this video on Planet Zoo was awesome. Again, nice job with the zoo.
I own PK and gave it a go a couple years ago after the first major update. It's a fun game but back then there really wasn't enough to make videos on it, not the kind of videos I make at least. Haven't checked it again in years, so is something I could potentially take a look at again
@@PlasticSwans I'll just say that it is definitely worth it to do so, as the game has definitely changed since then. (As a baseline, it's since gotten new maps, many new creatures, new mechanics, and even new scenarios and scenery pieces.) It's a lot to go through, but the Prehistoric Kingdom Official UA-cam channel, as well as the official website as well as the devlogs they mention in their community posts definitely help explain what has been added since you last played the game. Long-story-short, it's definitely worth giving it another chance, and I promise you won't regret it at all. (Personally, I love the game because of this. Not just for the Prehistoric animals.) Plus, with another update on the way literally coming out this month (or at least its announcement trailer will be coming out this month) according to the devs and the devlogs directly, there is no better time to join in on the Prehistoric Kingdom fun once again. (Basically, a lot has changed in 3 years for Prehistoric Kingdom, and not only are these changes definitely things to check out and compare to how it was when you last played the game, but the fact that more changes for the game are literally just around the corner and coming afterwards still is yet another reason to even give it another chance.) Love your vids, btw. They're awesome, and so is this channel.
@@PlasticSwans Also, forgot to mention one thing yesterday in my comment, as well as the first reply: If it wasn't already enough to give this game a second chance, the update coming out soon this month for Prehistoric Kingdom is Update 12. (Yep, a lot has definitely changed for Prehistoric Kingdom since the first major update after launch, alright. Lol)
Steve Irwin’s iconic Zoo in Australia is called Australia Zoo, located in Beerwah. It’s focused on Crocodylimorphs, including the Saltwater Crocs and American Alligators, with a large Crocodile coliseum, aptly named the Crociseum. It has Echidnas, Zebras, Rhinos, Giraffes, a statue of a Sarcosuchus??? Quokkas, Emus, ‘Toos, Dingos, and loads of Iconic Australian animals.
I like using nearby animals as my cafe theme. Like you did the crocodile pier restaurant, I made my most recent one for the Spectacled caiman. I also liked your koala habitat. Their size and climbing glitches always put me off building for them
With the walkthough platypus enclosure I'd be more worried about a kid trying to touch one and getting stung by the weird venomous spur they have! Such weird creatures!
I love this! As an Aussie, I wish we had echidnas in the game. My only gripe (and it's a small one) is that the kiwi should be in a night house, as they are a nocturnal species! Other than that - this zoo is awesome!
Ah! Thanks. Night is a nightmare to work with in the game, the lighting is all wrong. I wanted to call the restaurant Kookaburra Kitchen...but that would be a lie ☹
Yep, looking back at footage during the edit I did spot that one too! It's a weird phenomenon when recording your brain/eyes don't always spot things in the moment!
I know you probably have no more space in the zoo but it would be a cool idea to educate people about the invasive and feral species of australia like deers and camels
I forgot to show the stand-up education boards. I put around 8 of these around the zoo, and selected topics relevant to Australia, including the invasive species one, definitely a key concern for the area!
What could've been fun would have been to dress one of them up a bit. There's a toy frog plushie in the gift shop scenery pieces, so could've placed 100 of them all around the education board!
Haha I knew someone would ask that! I pulled in all of the Oceania animals. Asides from the king penguin. The game has the king penguin listed in Oceania because it sits in Antarctica and there's no category for that so it's listed in all of them I think. Drew the line with that one!
Honestly this is a lovely zoo! I could never build something like this, due to the fact I am 1: terrible with entrances and 2: I could never get everything to line up so well. I think I’ll stick with the every animal zoo style😅 (basic entrance, habitats at every corner)

Thanks! Don't get me started about circular economy! It's become an almost weekly occurrence in my job to be writing about that!
Epic! I always loved your Australia Zoo so its great to see you finishing it off the way you wanted. Great job as always
Thanks!
This might be the best zoo I've ever seen in this game. Its absolutely stunning!
Wow thanks! I try to make them appealing :)
@@PlasticSwans no problem! Keep up the great work :)

I just recently found your content and I love it so much! The habitats you create, the happiness you bring! All splendid, thanks for the content
Thanks for watching!

This looks so good! As a fan of all the Oceania animals in the game I’m very happy you did them justice!
Thanks! Glad to finish something for once!
This zoo looks incredible!
Thanks!
This is awesome and it's looking great
Thanks Christy!
YAY🎉 I've been waiting for thos series since you replied to my comment some time ago 😂😂 I'm so happy that you found time to continue the project🎉
Sometimes I do deliver on promises 😆

In my 'every animal zoo' I called the restaurant by the caiman habitat 'Marcos' after the first caiman that passed away!
Omggg this is actually so amazing! Stupendous job 💚💚💚💚💚
Well this was quite the rebirth story. This zoo is awesome!
Thanks!

You’re so charming! And I love your zoo, this is so beautiful.
Thanks!
I think I managed to see the giant burrowing cockroach at 17:45 at the left hand side of the exhibit box, on the floor underneath the plants.
Yep, looking back at footage during the edit I did spot that one too! It's a weird phenomenon when recording your brain/eyes don't always spot things in the moment!
I'm in the USA, but if I could, I'd visit every chance I had. It's a lovely place, it looks as if people really care about it. ❤️🤔🙂
Thanks!

Thanks! Yes there's still some projects to finish off!
@PlasticSwans is oh alright we can be friends on discord and steam and I like your workshop
Amazing! But what is a kiwi doing in an Australian Zoo? Haha

This is how I started with this one! In 2020, I didn't even realise you could build your own entrance!
