Sub from Kentucky. I am always on the look out for new plants around me. There always seems to be something I've walked past dozens of times to find out later that it was a plant/tree that is or could be used as food or medicine. Then it becomes a game of "now, where did I just see that?". That's just one of the ways foraging keeps me hooked.
Wild lettuce and mullein are and have been always on my radar. I could see them a thousand times and each time I find them it's like the first time all over again.

Oh no! Poor Bob. 😞😂 In Europe we make lemonade or squash from elder flowers. 🙂 Just make sure it's Sambucus nigra you pick the flowers from.

Rosehip soup is common in Sweden. It's really nice. 😊 It's just powdered rosehips, water, sugar and some starch as a thickener (potato starch, corn starch etc.).

For me foraging ( which I don't do much ) ethnobotany, is another part of my love of nature. The comfortable thing stops me from using Pokeweed.
