Hi Genci, thanks for your comment! We are not in Albania for 1 week - we are here for the second time and saw about 75% of the country the last time - please have a look at our Albania playlist. We understand your anger, but that’s exactly why we are here. We’re here to promote Albania and make it better for people to live. If you watch our moving to Albania video, we’re even trying to build a business here. Furthermore we don’t have 3-4000 euro in our pockets 👍🏼 we’re traveling since over a year and live like locals everywhere. Please do some research before accusing people of having a bad intention. Naomi is also German and we can tell you germany is not cheaper than Albania in terms of food.

Cheery couple, but honestly as someone who lives in Tirana it is a little misleading....you open with "an action packed day"....I guess that is a personal perspective........2000 leke will not see two people pack a day with action by any strectch in Tirana....what you have demonstrated is a very basic day where you have eaten the absolute cheapest food you can and had a coffee....while i totally appreciate you point that CERTAIN things here are much cheaper than in UK or Ireland for example.....Tirana for example is not as "mega cheap" if you have days filled with activities and not eating in buk dhe qofte. If tourists watch this they will get a shock when they come and actually try to do stuff......you cinema for example by the time you add in drinks and popcorn and nachos etc you will be puching 3500 leke........and those that want to come stay longer will probably shit a brick when they see the cost of modern city centre apartments when they try to rent.....minimum of a year term....minimum of 400euro for basic one bed going to over 3000 a month for 2/3 bed when in ciy centre.......and min 12 month rents......I get the idea of the video........but for me not 100% reality of day to day life....it demonstrated a very basic day with nothing else.

Yes absolutely, we understand your point! It is very true, the whole idea of this video was to simply show how you can use 20 dollars to have a great day in Tirana
      Thanks for your comment Richard!

I recently watched a video on UA-cam claiming that you can spend an entire day in Tirana, Albania, and afford everything with just €20. I find such videos extremely insulting and humiliating. They attempt to portray a country in a “cute” way, labeling it as “AMS” (poverty, lack, weakness).
It’s frustrating to see the complex reality of a country reduced to such a superficial level. Albania has so much more to offer than just low prices. It is a country with a rich history, vibrant culture, and breathtaking landscapes. The people there are warm and hospitable, and there are countless sights and experiences that go far beyond what can be experienced on a small budget.
It’s important that we don’t view countries solely through the lens of money. Albania should not be reduced to €20 or €10. It deserves to be seen as the diverse and fascinating country that it is. I am sure that Albania has much more to offer than what is depicted in such videos.

Don't care how many spuds I can get for 20 dollars - just give me the basic conversion. Who knows/cares what 20kgs of oranges looks like? 20 dollars = 2000? So a dollar is about 100 lek...

Great video. As a suggestion: it would be more helpful to mention (or simply subtitle) the US Dollar equivalent price for each item that you purchase.

To be fair, they told us the exchange rate at the beginning. Just move the decimal to the left and you have the approximate USD equivalent, give or take a few cents. 💵.
