Awfully nice of you to share the TW layout with corrected values. That amp is so sensitive! Still trying to figure out the lead dress issues and well a proper (PPI) master volume that can be "switched off" if necessary. The added presence circuit also gives me headache. So lesson learned: start small and simple :D Interestingly enough my Hiwatt DR103 build was more straightforward than the TW. I got the feeling that the Express is always on "the edge" somehow circuitwise but hey I'm just a diy fellow. Nice videos! Keep 'em coming :)
I have built the 50watt plexi and Black Flag plexi from Modulus. Both fantastic. Highly recommended. I’m also in Europe but luckily bought them before Brexit
@@paulp2033 Aw a nice Black Flag :) Yeah I waited way too long to order from him and ... Brexit ofc :) The TAD builds are impressive? Let me know if you did one!
The change to 230v was to harmonise with the EU. The national grid didn’t actually change anything. The tolerance is 230v -6%+10%. That’s 216v to 253v Tolerances are required because local grid loading affects the voltage, but many areas are 250v basically all the time now, because people aren’t running CRT tv’s and incandescent bulbs anymore. The EU changed from 220v to 230v at the same time, but most EU countries actually still run 220v, which is also within the range.
Love the attention to detail making sure the chassis is perfectly central on the PR18. It’s little details like that that say a lot
Couldn't agree more!

Saw aynesley on Thursday, what I assume was his signature rift sounding epic, particularly with a p90 equipped eggle.
I'm impressed by your work mate
Another great video and also thanks for the Trainwreck docs. Very generous of you to offer them for free 👍👍
Chris, PLEASE consider packaging kits or at least a layout plus parts list for your designs. I’d sell my motorcycle for an Americana LP kit! (USA fan)
Sell amp kits that would be fabulous, had a few from Amp Maker UK but they have closed.
If you are in the UK, there is Modulus. He carries a lot of great kits. I'd love to try one of those but the import fee is prohibitive sadly (to EU).

Yup, Modulus for parts and kits, not me!

@@yaanno no haven’t tried those. Just did the modulus ones.
What pickup brand firebird pickups are they?
I think they’re Lollar’s 👍
No faff with customs pre-2020. :(
Did you build that chassis stand yourself, or did you buy it? I need one of those in my life.
I’ve got two Mojotone chassis stands and one homebrew
U.K voltage is 230v.
Nominally, yes, but it often reaches 250v in my shop :)
