I bought a 2022 Q60 six months ago and totally love the car. Performance, comfort and styling are all first rate. Trunk is small and no air-cooled seats but these are minor quibbles. Only major dislike are the standard Dunlap runflats are bad in the rain but i will replace those eventually. I quickly got used to the two screens and the complicated infotainment controls and now I’m good with them. All who own the Q60 give it very positive reviews. Only really negative reviews come from people who don’t own one. It’s a shame this car is discontinued.
It really is a shame. Nissan/Renault really shot themselves in the foot discounting this car and idk if the only ones sold were in my area but I see alot of them so I don't know how sales were bad, I think for an upmarket car with the numbers I see on the road they sold well.
Man, you guys are waaay off here. Yes, the car looks good, but the main appeal of this car is the VR30 engine's potential and tuneability -- Just adding lower downpipes + cat-back exhaust, cold air intake, heat exchanger and a tune easily gets you a reliable 430+whp for cheap. It's not a "non-car person car", it's a GT coupe that can be a sporty daily driver stock or a beast that beats factory GTRs, depending on what build you're going for. If you're going to review a car at least take the time to do a bit of research on it beforehand.
I’m in love with this car I want it soo bad can’t wait it’s just beautiful 💯💯 I always wanted a two door car for a long time but when I saw The Infiniti Q60 I began to be in love with this car all the infiniti Q60’s and this is my favorite car now Especially this blue like what color is this
12:20 YES CHRIS! Appreciate you catching yourself. And that’s actually a hint for what that UA-cam series idea I mentioned in that podcast comment would be ;)
Hey guys, nice review! Beautiful color! I just wanted to say there are plenty of car enthusiasts who buy these cars. Cars are my life! My friends and family say I'm obsessed with them lol, and I bought a Q50... I did modify it though... But, regarding your reaction after a week... This is exactly why I wish the reviewers who disliked the Q50/Q60, actually drove the car every day for at least a week, so they could have learned more about it, and pleasantly got used to it, rather than pass the negative judgement they did, because they only drove the car for a couple of hours in most cases... Just like you guys for the most part... - Most long-term reviewers, or reviews from owners who are used to the cars, really like these cars a lot. I hear them say, the more they drive them, the more they enjoy them! As an owner of a 2015 Q50 3.7 Premium RWD with navigation, I felt the same way. I almost didn't buy my Q50 at first... After a few days, I started falling in love with the car! To this day, the more I drive it, the more I enjoy it. I really started enjoying it after I began to modify it. Anyway, I could only imagine how much I'd love a fully loaded Q50S or Q60S RS400! I test drove a fully loaded, minus AWD, '21 Q50S RS400 RWD with the factory blacked out chrome pieces of the car, with black chrome door trim, carbon fiber rear spoiler and power folding carbon fiber mirrors... It also had an illuminated front Infiniti grille emblem. It was freaking amazing! With some modifications, these cars become absolute monsters! I love the styling, I grew to love the two screens and the other technology. Another thing I like, is you don't see RS400's all over the place. One more thing... The car bounces off the Rev limiter only in manual mode whether it be from the paddles, or the Shifter. It doesn't downshift if you floor it at a low rpm in manual mode either, the way it should be. It will only auto downshift in manual mode if you're coming to a stop and don't do it yourself... It waits until the last second before bucking or stalling to downshift as well. Manual mode, means full manual control in these cars. Sometimes it will beep and not allow you to manually upshift, or downshift if there's a chance it could hurt the transmission. Once you're given that gear, you have full control. Wow, sorry for the really long comment! 😄
This is a really tricky one for me, and what I think is so frustrating about it is that it’s a car I really WANT to like because I can see the potential of what it could be. Still love the exterior so much that it’s one of the very very very few cars I’d buy on looks alone, which I hardly ever say. And honestly, I don’t take as much offense to that interior as some people do. Sure, a lot hasn’t changed since the Q50 came out in, what, 2015? But I’m just still glad it has buttons and knobs to complement the screens. And if they really wanted, they could just stitch those two screens together into one and rework the software to modernize it a bit and keep all the buttons around it. I just wish it had a little more personality from a driving standpoint. I appreciate how it’s kinda loose and not as clinical and perfectly sharp as the Germans in this segment, but to dial in the handling and the feedback of the inputs just a little bit more I think would go a long way, though sadly we’ll never get to see what that could do to this car. Wish Infiniti had the courage to lean into being the different, off-the-beaten-path option in this segment and care less about “what the market wants.” Should have left that to BMW and Audi made this the true successor to the old G’s. I’ll miss it, personally, tbh.
We leased a 2017 redsport sedan. It was an OK car. The coupe def looks better. The car was all engine. It was so nice at first - the power - esp conpared to the 4 cyl 328xi we had prior. I didn’t care for the cars flinty ride. It was better when I replaced the run flat, but still not great. I don’t think I’ll ever get a Nissan product after this experience. They’re just really cheaply made cars eg the sheet metal and side glass is really thin, constant cost cutting everywhere, etc.
I was Sooooo in love with this car a few years ago. It’s beautiful! But after driving a handful, the three things that hurt this car are the lame slow shifting transmission, the archaic and hard to use Navigation, and the weight. I could of lived with it if they at least put a quicker transmission in it. 😬 I bought a 21 Supra 3.0 instead and never regretted it!
I have a 2017 Q60 and love it for the looks. I don’t drive enough to care too much about performance any longer. Still, Infiniti could have done so much more with this car.
You gotta try G37 Coupe. It's nothing like the Q. I have a G37 and just tried a 2021 Q50. I very much prefer my NA engine and hydraulic steering. Also the Q suspension is too soft, I can't feel the road at all. The Q window motor is so loud and the interior feels much cheaper.
This guy will find something to pick at if he was looking at the Taj Mahal. "I don't like that it's all one color" "How come there are so few windows?" "I don't like that all the domes aren't the same size."
I still have an 08 G37s I bought new and it’s been one of those dependable, fun, fast, kick in the ass vehicles that I can’t let go of (and I have several V8 cars). After the Q series came out I lost interest in the styling, but still really nice cars.
I got an 08 as well. Still can't find a replacement, thought about it a few times but kept coming back to holding onto it. Just love the feel it gives - hydraulic steering, road feel, NA engine, the sound. Q60 interior feels pretty cheap and the weird two screens. Will probably end up getting a used 37, whichever the last model year for G.
I share your thoughts from start to finish. My same experience with my 09 G37 coupe I financed brand new. No surprised issues with ole faithful even after years of being paid off, and still melt my heart from time to time.
Car reviewers seem to assume that because the Q60 is not perfect, its no good. But it is excellent at what it is. If you want something to take to the drag strip, buy something else. If you want a beautiful, well prices, high performance GT coupe, go for it!
The interior and price killed the car. All they had to do with put one big screen for the radio and ac controls with wireless auto play and a standard digital cockpit.
Manual foot brakes just need to be the standard, why over complicate something with a button so that if your battery dies you can't put on your parking brake ( duh if ain't broke don't fix it )
🇬🇧 Could anybody please tell me WHAT the heck is a ‘Munroni’ is?? because I hear it mentioned on here and on Chris Amos’s channel (TheTopher) practically all the time. Thank you ;)!
