The poet, Kamala Das also wrote by her pen-name of ‘Madhavikutty’. She was born in Kerala and is one of India’s first poets. Her subject - matter is basically related to her personality- beautiful, sensitive, bold, and tormented. External factors do not reflect in her writings, her writings bring out her true inner feelings.
Her favorite poem is ‘composition’.
In the poem ‘My mother at Sixty-Six’, she talks about her mother. This poem is based on mother-daughter relation and the poet shares her feelings for her mother.

Her mother went to drop her to cochin and from cochin ,poet travelled alone
And the reference of tree sprinting and the Merry children spilling, it actually happened when the poet looked outside from the window of the car.

Ma'am Imagery and personification both are applicable for 'young trees sprinting', which one is more correct and why?
Young trees sprinting is personification ( it is more correct because if you are asked just for trees sprinting in exam at that time you can't write imagery as imagery is for complete sentence i.e. merry children spilling out and young trees sprinting , so if it is asked as complete sentence given above write imagery

Because i have read it in mam' s explanation that slum's children can't get all the better facilities and their life is in slum area but Shakespeare's map shows them beautiful world which is out of there reach so they will have greed or like use unfair means to get it ( it is just an assumption that they will do this ) so Shakespeare is making them tempt for it

@English Academy hey ma'am just wanted to clarify that in- "my mother" the poetic device used is alliteration,not repetition.
-repetition: is repeating the same WORD or sequences of words,(eg, in this poem: smile and smile and smile and
-alliteration: group of words starting with similar sounds(eg, in this poem: see you soon, my mother)
