General gameplan and tips for playing Yin : - Thx to the latest buff (spell vamp when alone), Yin doesn't really need to buy Bloodlust Axe as 2nd or 3rd item anymore (either as EXP or jungler), so you can rush his core items (PEN items) faster while the free slot can be used for def items on later time. - Specific for Jungler Yin, always use his 1st skill BEFORE the buff creeps appear (similar to Aldous) so the CD starts counting faster. While it seems minor, it'll help him clear his 1st buff faster so you could still contest the Litho especially against faster buffs clearing heroes. - Similar to other ult-dependent junglers like Saber, Harley, and Ling, Yin has a more clear time on when to fight and when to farm, that is if his ult is available or not. Having said that, his early game's dmg aren't as bad as Ling or Harley even with no ult so you could still join some skirmishes but ONLY as a cleanup and then immedieately go back to farming creeps. - Many might know this already, but hitting enemies with Yin's 2nd skill's charge (not the stun) gives him a 30% reduction, so don't be afraid to do some dmg trading before ult on a more even game as long as you hit them with 2nd skill first. - Unlike normal junglers that can take turtle (or lord) whenever they want, Jungler Yin SHOULD kill at least an enemy before starting it. This is because as jungler you want to avoid ulting in turtle fights since then you won't be able to secure the low-HP turtle (or lord) with retri, even if you catch the enemy's jungler, so it's better to play it safe and snipe an enemy first before taking the turtle (or lord). - Another thing to keep in mind, Yin could only kill squishies from full HP reliably in ult AFTER his 1st item is completed. Before that, you need your target to either be pre-damaged or hitted by both dmg from 1st skill's enhanced basic atk first so they won't escape with sliver of HP after an enhanced 1st skill. - As EXP Yin, since his early power is only around Zilong's or Chou's level, just play it safe in the early levels if you don't see your lane opponent (especially if they're a lane dominator). After you have ult though, you should try to clear the lanes ASAP (still prioritize being safe) so you could join some early fights. Don't get too caught up laning for too long just because Yin has a 1v1-based passive.
After watching a little bit of JJK, i now understand why the ult 1st skill follows the enemy. It works like that because Domain Expansions have a guaranteed hit on the target within the domain.
His ult being cancellable with cc is intentional, they added it as a way to counter him a few months back. It's irritating though, as his ult still works no matter how far away from him you get once he locks his ult on. I once recalled back to base but still got pulled back because he managed to get me with his ult like 0.1 seconds before I finished recalling
For some people who didn't know why yin didn't transform into sukuna during his ult was because, the copyright for sukuna was to expensive and mooton can't afford it. They afford the 4 skins but the sukuna one was different. They release that statement somewhere, can't remember where.
That's just a rumor and most likely fake. They can afford to collab with star wars with and kung fu panda, they can afford to collab with jjk. Unless you genuinely think jjk is a bigger and more expensive ip than star wars lol. The most likely reason is that, the author himself doesn't want the kimono sukuna to be in the game for whatever reasons. I heard some other game with jjk collab also doesn't have sukuna in kimono simply because the author doesn't allow it (i think it was pubg or some other fps game).
i think the interruption when casting his ult is intentional, since yin is one of those hero who is Ult, BOOM ded kind of type, so with those delay and interruptions, he is kinda managable

Yin's ult is always useful, if he manages to lock the jungler in turtle / lord fights or the main threat in the ennemy team in teamfights, whether he manages to kill them or not

Yin is okay to say the best, and his JJK Skin is okay as well. With yin himself, he’s very situational. He is strong against heroes who have no dashes or low mobility like Layla. Or even heroes who are just weak at 1v1 like Yve and a lot of pure supports like Estes and Rafaela. Yin though can be countered against a lot of strong heroes who have high mobility like Hayabusa, Ling or Wanwan. Or even tanky/ strong regen heroes who are strong in both team fights and 1v1 like Thamuz, Yu Zhong, Esmeralda and the list goes on. His JJK skin is ok, but Julians JJK skin is much cooler. When Yin ult’s I would have liked to see (what other people suggested on Yin’s Ultimate)
Ling and Lancelot are no match for yin the real nightmare for yin are tanky hero like thamuz who sometimes i ult him wrongly after focusing their marksman you can't run from him and all tanky heroes or late game marksman with wind of nature it's just impossible to out damage them

With the better range and fast, almost no backswing cast, his Ult guarantees a kill. But yea, ergo he's a good hero, he requires some practice and a better opposition. Like Beto said, you wouldn't want to face against heroes that're designed for a 1v1 skirmish, the better 1v1 heroes.
If I remember correctly they have to get the license to both Yuji and Sakuna to use them, which is a bummer but at the bare minimum make yins ult form more noticeable. Also for a true 1 shot yin try heptaseas > BoD > endless, 1st skill alone one shots most squishies.

A tip about yin is that you can switch the direction of his first skill while ulting by using your movement wheel, that helps a lot when people get out of his cc animation
I think the ult cancel balances yin because otherwise squishy heroes like the cyclops would have no chance at all. Since he has the sprint and dash/stun in his abilities as well. So it's not like it makes it impossible to land his ult.
For the people I think yuji transform into sakuna in ult but the clothes don't change, also by the walking animation and aura u could tell if yin used ult or not

I main Yin. Got to mythic by just playing Yin from Master to Mythic. I wasted my money just to get the Yin skin since it was my main and I like JJK. I know all the counters for yin and when I play him sometimes I ult someone and then they CC me like 3-5 times with different abilities.
Yin's ultimate cancel It's intentional, no new; it's a nerf from several past updates, even in the patch notes it is. Because a character that can do massive damage that fast without countering was very...unbalanced.
Hanabi got slightly buffed... Her mobility seem faster when you are moving and attacking like Layla.... hopefully Hanabi could make it back to meta soon..

It changes direction automatically. If you use the movement wheel after Yin did 5 hits with his S1 in ult then the skill will be cancelled

I used to love Yin but then I realize using Yin I almost never got any assist, and despite getting many kills, team always lost because no tower pushing being done
Yin is getting so many nerf on his ulti but they keep buffing 1st and 2nd skill

The Part where u said that Yin Users tend to just run in might be because of the Yin Before they nerfed him could just rush in and kidnap someone with no delay catching them by surprice and assuring a kill, but its not like that anymore sense they made all of his skills have a big delay and honestly its destroyed his gameplay, now they are trying to buff him here and there to patch him up together but its not working.
