Hello there. I liked your page. as far as i can see you are good at this.I'm bought snarler 3 weeks ago and now at 670 km. (still very new). I have a small problem right now. When I let go of the throttle on downhill descents, the engine suddenly goes blank and comes out of the compressor and and it's getting too fast. I took it to the service today but they couldn't solve the problem. Can you guess about this problem?
@@TorAnthonsen Hello there, sorry for the delay. Actually, I've never tried it in L. I just tried it on H. When you release the gas, the engine brake stays on for only 1-2 seconds and then goes to idle.
@@TorAnthonsen No, there is no warning on the screen. A friend in the facebook group recommended it. He said the bearing in the front variator is faulty. i will try it tomorrow
Nice job thank you. Greetings from southern New Zealand I am considering buying one of these interesting bikes, next time you change the diff oil can you please show us how that goes .tak!
Hi. Thanks for putting up this video. It’s very helpful. I just noticed that the drain plug bolt doesn’t have a rubber gasket around it? Are they supposed to have one? Or not necessary on these bikes? Let me know. Thanks.
Is there any reason for not dismantling and cleaning the oil strainer, which is the first filter stage? At least on my machine, it's mandatory when changing engine oil and filter.
Of course u can do this, but I only wanted to show the main oil change. It is more important when you’re covered a lot of miles and changed oil several times. But u should always follow the manual ;)
Considering to buy a new 2022 but I'm a wee bit concerned since it's fairly new to the Swedish market. Does it seem reliable and strongly built to stand heavy towing in the woods? Like a full load of logs on a crane-trailer? That brings on the next question, does it seem to have suitable gear ratio for that kind of use, or is it more of a recreational vehicle?
Hi there, the low gear ratio is absolutely strong enough but I’ve wished there could be a way to make the throttle less responsive. Other than that it will pull a lot of weight. There is still a little delay in the supply chain, so be aware of that if you need something fixed. I can take a long time to get parts. I can only speak for my self an my use, but I think this is a wonderful machine.
Hi you check wrong the oil level , if you want to folow the service manual you shuld : Stop the engine and wait several minutes for all the oil to drain back to the sump. ◆ Unscrew the oil filler cap【A】 wipe its dipstick【B】 dry, and tighten it into the filler opening. ◆ Unscrew the oil filler cap and check the oil level. The oil level should be between the upper (H) level line 【C】and lower (L) level line
Yes this is the correct way. But thanks to video editing it seems like I don’t do this. But I do. But thanks for letting other people know, if they didn’t get it 😉 i will let you in on a secret: I check the oil level before every ride 😎
@@TorAnthonsen is there a particular brand of oil to use, also is there a particular brand of oil filter brand an filter number part to use, keeping in mind that i live in ontario canada,
Hi, sorry for late response. Your dealership will have all you need. If not, use a trusted oil brand. Just Google oil filter Segway Snarler and there will be several dealers 👍🏼
Tusen takk for raskt svar!!
Hans Georg.

We see that Biltema oil is often to blame for this on those who use it😂

Hi and thank you for kind words.
Have you tried doing this in L or only H. How does it run when you start up. The idel speed.. is it constant?
@@TorAnthonsen Hello there,

I just tried it on H. When you release the gas, the engine brake stays on for only 1-2 seconds and then goes to idle.
I think it may be something whit your engine brake sensor. This must be checked at a dealer. Do you get an error in your display?

With the metal oil filter remover just like the one in the video , use the grip pliers to make it tighter and it will come off.
Good explanation here mate.
The Segway do actually looks like a great machine, seems easy to work on also or atleast changing the oil on.
Thank you 😃yeah it is easy to work on if u have experience. The only thing I need is the software to tune it 😎
@@TorAnthonsen Doesn't you have some places there where they do that? It's only a emap of the rom chip or something
Most likely yes. But I’m used to fix everything my self. I’ve tuned cars so this is no problem. And it’s cheaper lol
Great video brother!
Thanks 😊 that means so much to me.

Very good video, just one question, do you have to reset the oil life in the machine or reset service hours?
I just follow the manual instructions. I don’t have the tools to change any parameters in ecu.

Yes this is something coming in a later video.
How do you reaet the check engine and check oil dashboard lights ?
Sorry i dont understand the question. Do u mean reset?
What happens if we add engine oil from where the oil dipstick is instead of from the top?
Ehhh … idk try it 😉

u cannot tighten the filter with wrench! always use just sour hand guys!
Yes. But like I said in the video, I know how much I need to tighten. Since my fingers are to big I needed to use this clamp.
Mvh jocke

Why do you use the wrong engine oil? You should use 4T JASO API SJ/SM oil,not car oil.
As long the API is right, then there is no problem.
