On warped tour they basically had to use in ears, as there'd be 40+ bands playing in a single day, they have to move fast, so it's one song after another, so they need to know where they're at and get their set done in time

Is that called "fry screaming"? I used to hate screamers until I heard someone doing it without the instrumental backing. Forever after, I called it "gargling" and I can't hear it without snort-laughing anymore. Is it weird to have that reaction to fry-screaming while still enjoying The Hu's throat singing? 🤔 Also, have you heard any of Avi Kaplan's solo work? I haven't seen any reactions to it on your channel, but I know that doesn't necessarily mean you are unaware. Some reactors just refuse to give reactions if it's a group or artist they listen to on their own time. I was disappointed until...this week, actually...that he doesn't display the same vocal acrobatics that PTX gave him scope to run with, but then I realized that he is displaying a different sort of versatility in his solo work: he doesn't appear to be restricting himself to any one style.

Yo, I don't think he is doing fry screams and there are other techniques not just fry. There are also false chord screams, whistle tone screams and everything in between.
Hello Ken, enjoying your reactions as usual. If you don't mind to react to Kpop group Big Mama on their 2021 Killing Voice performance (it's an acoustic live stage performance).
They're a senior girl group debuted in South Korea in 2003 and disbanded in 2012. Since then, the four members has been working as music professors in several universities in South Korea respectively. They're considered as one of the legendary group with their vocal ability and performances.
In 2021 they reunited to perform in Killing Voice variety show singing their old hits and released a new single as well. Their songs are heavily influenced by Gospel and R&B which I'm sure you will enjoy as their songs and performance transcend languages (with English caption on, of course!)
