Fr Mathew Naickomparambil V.C. is the leader of evangelization movement of Potta Ashram and Divine Retreat Centre, India. He records his Divine Encounter with God in his own words below. From the bondage of a life that seeks material pleasures and self glorification, it is the Holy Spirit of God that constantly leads us to a life of renewal, seeking the will and glory of God.
The Vincentian Congregation is a clerical society of Syro-Malabar Archiepiscopal Church of Pontifical Right with its Generalate at Edappally in the Archdiocese of Ernakulam-Angamaly. It was founded on 20 November at 1904 at Thottakom by Fr.Varkey Kattarath, based on the Common Rules of St.Vincent De Paul. The Congregation has taken as it’s motto, “he has sent me to proclaim the Good News to the poor” (Lk.4/18). The Specific and preeminent purpose of he Congregation is the evangelization of the poor especially the more abandoned. It is realized in the Popular Mission retreats, Preaching Ministry, missionary works and through charitable, social and educational apostolate. Giving importance to the Preaching ministry Potta Ashram was founded in 1977. Potta Ashram is famous for the renewal of many, irrespective of religion, World Evangelization and formation of the laity.
