I love this idea, especially because you can take it apart and you can use it year-round for all occasions by changing the papers. And since I'm a papercrafting, I have a huge stash of paper to choose from, so this is great and very inexpensive. Thanks for sharing your idea!

Wow, that is the best DIY tiered tray I have seen. And I love the PVC coupler idea, so durable. I will just go with 3 tiers, but about 10 inches high, that gives you lots of room to decorate for each season. Great idea, great instruction and great results. Continued success. Love PegEgg

omg thank you. I love your idea. I also wanted something that I could use again but didn't want this big bulky thing. And I can add or remove a layer depending on how many cupcakes. And customize them to each theme with paper. When I make it I will be sure to post pics. Thanks again.

i absolutely love this idea. i am doing cupcakes for my daughters graduation party. so i also was going to do the diy stand from the dollar tree using the candle holder and plates, but then as i thought about it , i said to myself what will i do with the stand after i use it? so your video made me say, wow, great idea. thank you so much, with only 3 weeks to go before the party i was really at a stand still so thank you.
Absolutely love how this turned out. I'm gonna start a desert table business and this would definitely be cost effective and you can always switch out the 3rd tier and pop on the smaller top tier if you're doing a bit less. Thanks so much for sharing!!!

2- 12" pizza trays
1- ceramic plate
6- 3/4" PVC couplers
PVC pipe, 2- 6" pieces, 1- 3" piece
E6000 glue
The fact that you can disassemble the stand is GENIUS!!

So practical! The plate balances it. So if you don’t have a special cupcake for the top, use the plate to display a teacup flower arrangement.
You could use clear or translucent contact paper to seal the scrapbook paper for easy wipe-off
You could also use wrapping paper that comes in the larger sizes on a roll, esp. since it can often be found with whatever the latest craze is on it (like characters, Disney stuff, Barbies, or whatever theme a party might be using). It can be found at most Dollar Tree stores, too!

You can also use the pretty new designs of contact paper 2 line ea tray. That way no need 2 add pieces to make the full circle. Also, u dont hav 2 remove the backing, just lay them on ea tray with the backing intact. They r e z 2 wipe dn & evn reuse. Just cut circle 2 correct sz 2 fit around PVC then a straight line from inner circle 2 outer. They carry a gorgeous black on white delicate flower pattern that would look nice on either of your trays 2 make 4 a beautiful black & white theme. 🍨 Love your idea, cant wait 2 make ! 😍

You could even decorate the couplers for the occasion with flowers, tinsel, ribbon, etc. Great video!

This is great. For long term tier covers, I am going to use outdoor fabric and just iron the edges under, waterproof and washable. However, I am also going to try and do this with plastic table cloths.

Very neat idea. If you wanted fancier than using the couplers, you may be able to use those wooden things they use to decorate and make holders for candles when making candle holders, but that may be more money. I don't to think the couplers look that bad and like you said, whatever you put on the trays will be covering the couplers.
