Qalamoun In Colors, a Cash for Work Project- phase 1

“Qalamoun in Colors” is a cash for work project aiming to generate short-term income opportunities for youth, improve employability, and to strengthen community exchange to contribute to social stability, in Al Qalamoun.
The project focusses on the rehabilitation of the Qalamoun market and center through painting around 60 buildings’ facades.
Moreover, Qalamoun public spaces are being activated and beautified by numerous street artworks and visuals, with the help of the enthusiastic artists and painters of the area.
This project is part of the Local Development Programme for Urban Areas in North Lebanon (UDP_NL), implemented by GIZ in partnership with UTOPIA and the Municipality of Qalamoun through financial support of the European Union and Germany in partnership with the Ministry of Social Affairs.
