It was so great riding with all three of you! The MacRide has totally changed the dynamic of our family riding. We love it! Hope to see you on the trails again! - Lindsay, Adam, June and Grant
Wow, well engineered product. I wish these were available when my guys were little. I used to put them on my back and then on a tag a long when they were older. Great parents mountain bike with their kids!
Hey guys I love both of your channels and have never commented on UA-cam before but I have to say if been waiting for something like this from you! My wife and I have the shotgun bike seat and love it! My 4 year old daughter likes it more every day. Thanks for the great family friendly content on both of your channels!
Such a great product and video! Wonderful mix of helpful info and exciting footage. We have a Burley Minnow for street and soft cruising, but I was looking for a way to include our 3-year old on some trails!
I have to say I don’t get the thumbs down on this , what is wrong with people 🤷♀️. Doing activities as a family is awesome 👏 keep up the good work you guys. Can’t wait to see your little one lead you in on the trails 🤙
@@dustybettymtb Even better. She'll be able to just ride along with you. Thats the best. LOL So much fun. Our daughter turned 9 this year and is really gaining confidence riding and its an absolute blast.
My little dude is 2 and loves the Mac Ride, he likes calling out the bumps we hit and making sound effect as we go around corners. I will say the weight of Little Dusty will start to make more of in impact as she grows. You gotta go up to go down, and they don't help you pedal. Though solo climbs feel way easier.
Recommend highly a clear face shield with air holes for airflow to protect against debris off the trail or branches, etc. It would also protect the child’s face contacting the handlebars directly.
My oldest is going to have his first baby with his girlfriend in July. I've been looking for products that I could use to get her involved in cycling. So add this one to the list (as well as a Stryder bike)! And it's so cool to see families getting out and riding bikes!
How confident do you feel on obstacles. We are in the Midwest with nothing too crazy but our local trails have quite a few log crossings some pretty tall. We ride them with weehoos which are awesome bikepacking and on the road but I think these would be a game changer on trail. Thanks for sharing!!!
That's great. If you get the opportunity I would also recommend you try out the WeeRide Kangaroo made by Kazam. That's what I used with our son and he loved it. I think it's a little safer in that in the unlikely event of a crash or fall the molded seat with foot beds and a 5-point harness offers a little more protection. Also there's a padded front part for the child to hold on to and on long smooth road rides it is a nice comfy place for the child to rest their head to nap which my son has done many times.
I've looked at every bike supply I know, and I can't find eye protection for toddlers, nor for toddler's helmets. The nearest I can find is eye protection/sunglasses for little leaguers. I hope somebody comes up with something soon.
There’s also kidsrideshotgun.com.au/ Even if you stick with the MacRide you can always just buy a cheap handlebar extension and put handle grips on it so your daughter has mini ones to hold onto.
Hey! How old is your little one? I have a 18 month old daughter and run a forward facing seat that she straps in but I think this would be much better for both of us!
How old is she here and what's her weight? My son is almost 7 months and 25.5lbs. He is younger than the recommended age but I think he could go earlier.
I highly recommend padding the stem. I started my daughter at 18 months and it still took her a little while to get used to reading the trail so we padded the stem to keep her from busting her teeth out.
Yeah, I like that this design doesn't contact my frame. It has the spacer at the front of the bike and then it attaches it to seat post. That's what I like about it most. Some of my bikes are carbon and it's nice so being able to take the little one on those bikes with me without worrying.
I hope you're aware that exposing little Dusty to these adventures at such a young age will make her addicted to the outdoors for the rest of her life.

Woot woot! So happy to hear it:)

I wish I had something like this when my kids were little. My daughter used to ride with me on a tag along and laugh the entire way. So much fun.

@@dustybettymtb I just wish 8 had some pictures. We rode triple 2 seasons.

Dusty Baby is so stinking cute. Loved the very last clip. Great product review.
Y'all are the best parents in the world.
So cool. I have a new grandson and can’t wait for him to get a little older.
Great stuff, smile alerts!!!!!!! 👍
That is so cool. I think id wrap my child in bubble wrap. Especially navigating techy sedona trails.
Awesome ! Dusty baby rocking the mountain bike ❤️
that is so cool to watch, thanks for sharing with us

Hey nice video can you do a tutorial on how to hook up a balance bike to a backpack
It looks like they are having a whole lot of fun!

I know this is an older video but awesome. Just popped up in our feed. 😄
Oh, thanks! She's getting so big now. I think her Mac ride days may be coming to an end pretty soon!

The Mac Ride is AMAZING. I was so sad when my kids outgrew it.

How far have we progressed awesome! Back in the day we just had to lock the kids in the car to go ride:)

Oh my God this is so awesome.
Little Dusty sounds like a happy kid... tjohoooo 😊
That blue hardtail looks B-Feey! I like it. :)
Never saw one of those before, great idea. Which trail were you riding? It looked like one I could handle.
isn't the Mac Ride a bit harsh with the hardtail?
just ordered one for my 2 year old.
My daughter is 5 and has refused to ride her back after mine and my wife’s bikes were stolen.
I hope she can fit in this!

Very cool.

@@dustybettymtb good to know and thank you for the response!
How old was your daughter here? Mine is 18 months and I’m unsure if she’s old enough
Neat looks like a lot of fun
You should try the shot gun kids mountain bike seat.
Looks like Lil' Dusty is a natural-born shredder!
this was addorable
Nice vid!
coooool!
I could have sworn i heard little dusty say she wants the new cannondale scalpel, she wants to start her own channel Full Squish Party
Great review. But at $230, this is wildly expensive!
How old is she here and what's her weight?

Cool video
How old is she?
@@dustybettymtb thank you. I am wondering as I have a 2 yr old. She is fairly tall for her age but i am totally wanting a mac ride!
Lil Dusty seems more mature than half the MTBers I know! How did she get so big?!
Dusty Betty she’s amazing! You’re amazing! So fun to watch!
I'll bet your comments about what you would change about this product at the end of the video will actually be implemented by the company.
How old is your daughter? My son is 21mo, he's getting close to where I'd trust him to hold the bars so I am thinking of getting one of these.
I was going to go for a Shotgun but that install. Convince me otherwise...

That was pretty sweet
the best part is the kids already have a "Chamois" ROFL

👍💜💛💚💘
The MacRide looks nice. I use the WeeRide (www.kazambikes.com/pages/weeride-by-kazam) since my younger son was 12 -13 month old and it's great.
Try having your daughter wear sunglasses just like mommy and daddy.
