aaaaaahhhhhh.... a video with no mid-roll ads :) I'm curious about how the rudder and elevator inputs will be combined mechanically and passed down the booms.
I'm curious about that too. LOL. I have not looked into the combining method yet. It will happen behind the pilots seat. I'm currently thinking of running cables between the combiner and the ruddervators , through each boom.
An excellent question. It has crossed my mind. The issue is that for a scale model to behave like a larger model you have to have the mass scaled correctly and you have to have the same Reynolds numbers. If you can't do both of those then the scale model results may not help or may even lead you astray. I'm talking aerodynamics here. I am not currently thinking of making a scale model of the UWS-4. I may make some 3D printed non structural parts though.
I'm worried that skinning your wings with alluminum will push your aircraft over 254 pounds weight limit. Figuring all this out from scratch is hard work!
I'm worried about that too. When I get more into the materials and weights estimation I'll have a better idea of how close I am to 254 lbs. I think it will be close.

Excellent, as always!
Have you thought of building a 3d printed RC version of your design? Then run some tests on it before commiting to the full size version?
