In fact if you are watching these videos, you can easily become pretty confident in Blender. Took me a pandemic lockdown, but now I am calling my skills ok
Bro just tab choose face mode and do e and s I mean play with it for some time and you may find any random shape get you in great project don't be so much serious about it start rough work joyfull and after researching and playing well its time to surve your master piece
Don't know why but even though I know E is extrude and S is scale I still appreciate him saying it every time along with saying every little thing he does
So I followed along with this one. Thanks for this! Took me an hour and a half. Longer if you count the long rabbit trail where I read all about weird tail rotor designs like scissor rotors and Notar tails. 😄
I have only been watching your videos for a few days, but they are great, really enjoyable to watch and i am picking up so much about Blender, which I love and have only really started to explore in the last couple of months. I have had a lifetime of Adobe design and illustration products and Blender has blown me away, including their commuunity spirit and open access angle. Your hard surface style is an amazing way to demonstrate the flexiblity and expansive capabilities of the application. My only concern is that at some point in the future will we know whether we are in the real world or a Blender world.
This is an amazing build, I am wanting to design a military quadcopter aircraft design like no other I have seen before. It is a crude mashup of a jet fighter and a Jetson with airplane propellers. This video helped me learn how to design the fuselage from scratch and extrapolate the rotors. Thank you for your wisdom!
Another excellent 10-minute model! Personally, if I tried to do that I'd need to keep looking at a reference image every 10 seconds or so. The way you can get the image you want in your head and model it is your super-power. I'm thinking from the perspective of an animator, not a game builder, but I would parent both rotors to the body of the helicopter, lock their location, then lock their rotation, except on the Z-axis. Then I can move the helicopter around, and select the rotors and click R to spin them.
Love to see your tutorials...I have already learnt to model a plane and now can follow your tutorial along... I am going to model this later. Your 10 Mints Challenges tutorials have been my favourite...Still more to watch yours..👌👍👍👍👍👍👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌.
I really like how he sets his Blender rendering options to display the cavities and creases on the meshes - it really helps you to see how the polys are laid out. In addition, for some projects, I would actually like that in the final look of my model - is there a way to bake it into a texture?
Could try exporting your UV layout, it gives you a png with a black border around every polygon, and alpha background so you'd be able to apply it to any material. Relies on your UVs being flat though. Another option would be freestyle with your edges marked for freestyle and freestyle rendering set to marked edges
Love it, love it! Thanks so much for these great videos. I'm enjoying the aircraft theme (spaceships, airplane, helicopter). I appreciate the simple modeling style that produces such cool models.
you don't need to press the num pad to align you view to world axis if you have a middle mous button. You can just hold alt and middle mouse button and move your mouse.
Hey I wanted to tell u that u can always set the set origin thing in ur quick favorites, just right click on it then press a and then it will appear, also u can put any shortcut u want there, just like adding subdivides to edges ( I watched ur old videos ) I rlly hope u see this D: (edit I also think u set the individual origins into quick favorites...)
For your GH5, since you are sitting mostly at the same place, you can set the camera to manual focus. You won't have to worry about the auto-focus anymore. If you worry about being not in focus while being in manual focus, you can increase your aperture, hence, increasing the depth of field (zone in focus) but by doing so, you will need to increase the ISO (increase noise/grain in your image) or lower the shutter speed if you can.
Hi Imphenzia! Thank you so much for doing this amazing tutorial! I really appreciate it! I finished my first helicopter from your video. It doesn't quite look like yours, but I am going to keep redoing it, until it looks good!
Thanks for this. I lost count how many times I tried to model a helicopter but never could find the workflow that worked. It always came out wonky with nightmare topology. 👍
So at 3:01 you do I to inset and then B to border to sort of merge the faces I guess? But, the keyboard capture doesn't show the "B" and using B is box select. I have no idea what is happening at that point. Can you explain?
Your lessons are fantastic! I'm following along with your Low Poly Racing Tutorials and it's been great. Easy enough for a Blender/Unity newbie like me! I'm really intrigued by your office and soundroom too. Its really neat! I'm inspired so keep it up! :)
Could you do some tips regarding use of collections? For example the weapons pods on this thing could be instanced collections. Or you could model a aircraft carrier / airfield using previously created low poly models as instances.
15:30 , actually in GTA 5 they used the same trick, but not low poly. If you look close enough u can see the leaves change colour when u r ready for the flight after the engine of helicopter starts and the rotor starts to rotate.
damn, i have to learn cinema 4d for uni (hate it) and i couldnt find any tutorial.... like i searched for days .. my professor doesnt want to switch to blender because he would "have to change all his scripts". thank You!
How did you moved rear wing rotor without mirroring it? Also, Aerodyanamic rotation on wings are not happening me... Please explain or provide key shortcuts....
IDK how I've seen like 40 of these videos, all of which are presented as "Gonna make the stuff you see in this picture in 10 minutes. Bet." and every time, I'm still like "There's no way.."
So I'm working on a game with a helicopter and used some free low poly model I found on itch. Then I decided I wanted to make more models like that myself and to learn Blender. UA-cam sends me here and what do I find? You creating the very same model I used in my prototype!
hi i was subscribed to this channel a while ago, now when i got this video recommended i was like "huh, why not" then i look at your subscriber count... didn't you make a video reacting to 10k not so long ago? If i remember right then congratulations you are really growing fast!
Is the 10 minutes per model good practice if you need to make a lot of models that don't need many details. Sometimes I spend too much time on a building that is not that important.

Everytime i try and model something I have all sorts of issues with non planer faces and ngons. what am I doing wrong? have you ever had issues like this? im constantly having to do mesh clean up merge by distance and make planer faces
Yes, it happens to me too. Some times I try to live with the , sometimes I break the quad to triangles to make it actually fold, and some times I use Planar from Loop Tools addon, or scale a selection of faces along their average Z normal axis to 0 to make them all planar, but usually that affects faces around them to not be planar.
"...I ran out with my shotgun, Mike." That escalated quickly.
Haha, that's what I heard first too:D
no wonder they needed an ambulance
@@Twenathee me too hehe
I can try this 10-minute challenge myself and end up with a cube in blender and depression.
I feel you Bro
But keep it up. It will become better
I renamed my cube to "Helicopter" and called it good.
In fact if you are watching these videos, you can easily become pretty confident in Blender. Took me a pandemic lockdown, but now I am calling my skills ok
I understand so much !! I've stopped progressing a long time ago

*Someone dying in the helicopter*
Imphenzia: Nice sound! Thanks helicopter!
15 seconds of him making it and it already looks like a copter!
So I followed along with this one. Thanks for this! Took me an hour and a half. Longer if you count the long rabbit trail where I read all about weird tail rotor designs like scissor rotors and Notar tails. 😄
You are the guy, man!!!. Low Poly is so awesome and thank you for share your experience with us!

Idea for Episode 30:
Model yourself in 10 minutes.

I do love your videos of 10 minutes modelling
wow, it came out super solid! Maybe you could make an ancient temple for the thirtieth episode or something else really old.
I was planning a helicopter game but cant find decent low poly model. So I decided to make my own. This tutorial gives me good inspiration.

I'm not an expert but the only thing I can think of is using the wireframe node in the materials or render the viewport

He showed it here ua-cam.com/video/1jHUY3qoBu8/v-deo.html on 4:46
Check out the workbench renderer
It would be cool to see a little beach scene with the sand, sea, and some kids playing.
all in 10 mins. that'd be a challenge
@@circle2867 I know, but it would be nice😂
Only just discovered your content, but I'm loving what i'm seeing so far.
Looking forward to more.
And thanks for the blend-tips!
Love it, love it! Thanks so much for these great videos. I'm enjoying the aircraft theme (spaceships, airplane, helicopter). I appreciate the simple modeling style that produces such cool models.

Oh.

Learnt a heck of a lof from this one. Thanks man :)
Cool, glad you like it :)
I look forward to your videos every week 👊❤️
A tip for you might be that the set origin function is available from simply right clicking.
Imphenzia 10mins *:* later complete the copter
Me 10mins later *:* moving cutting the cube
U deserve 1 million and now my only goal is to help u reach a million
This channel is amazing
You inspire me, much and much more

Awesome video as usual! Nice story at the end. Your girl is pretty smart :)
Wow, very fast and still very good!
Yet another excellent speed model! Your kid is a genius lmao
Love your videos!! Thank you!!
Awesome
Your low-poly helicopter in 10 minutes is not bad, a nice helicopter there!
These are great for mini unity projects
Airwolf! :D Thanks for all your great content!

Great video! Very helpful.
Great video as ever. Love the chopper. Maybe try an underwater scene with a nuke sub. Would be cool. Have a great holiday and renovation.
Thanks Bro ;)
Can you pl also show how o render out the models , when I tried looks flat not like what is seen in perspective view. Thanks
The repeated comments on shortcuts have same energy as Bob Ross, love it!
Beautiful..
Good job.... 👍🏻👍🏻
10 minutes challenge is always challenging to watch ;D
Just loved it and subscribed bro
Idea for episode 30: model your own work station (table, pc, accessories and a simple version of yourself).
i enjoy watching
I like that intro "Getting into Focus"! Keep it.
Please may I also request a Racing Motorcycle and it's rider! :)
damn, i have to learn cinema 4d for uni (hate it)
and i couldnt find any tutorial.... like i searched for days .. my professor doesnt want to switch to blender because he would "have to change all his scripts".
thank You!
insane skills
I did not know this was possible. I set there for 30 minutes trying to figure out what to make then another 45 minutes figuring out UVs.
i m try an making animation of car braking an chain but not able to make dynamic chain which goes under tensile and compression ....any suggestions
Love this one it’s sooooo coool!!!
How do you bringe that colour shader box with tons of colors in side window?i just want to know.
How did you moved rear wing rotor without mirroring it? Also, Aerodyanamic rotation on wings are not happening me... Please explain or provide key shortcuts....
how do i get that side bar couler thing
Do a tractor as the wheels will be interesting to do
Everyone: feeling bad for the person in the helicopter him: thank you for the sounds
IDK how I've seen like 40 of these videos, all of which are presented as "Gonna make the stuff you see in this picture in 10 minutes. Bet." and every time, I'm still like "There's no way.."
This guy makes me want to switch to blender!
Please, what is that default material or/and shading you are yousing, with all that edge accent and AO going on? Thank you :)
How do you have that colour pallet on the side? Please could someone help?
Do you have or can you make a video that shows how to setup and use the color pallet? You switch colors so easily with it. Thanks for the great tips!
Idea for a future video: A small kit for making modular buildings (exterior or interior)

is there a way i can download this file and edited it in my own way?
Next Make A best Low poly Car
Can sm tell me how to get the color like he did through uv editing
More to video edit with those camera's lol Nice setup!
how you can let the colors on the left side?
hi i was subscribed to this channel a while ago, now when i got this video recommended i was like "huh, why not" then i look at your subscriber count... didn't you make a video reacting to 10k not so long ago? If i remember right then congratulations you are really growing fast!
U are genius to help us out
Fast, and ultra cute bro!!!
✨👌😎😎😎👍✨
How to get those colors on left side .. explain asap plz
Will there be another episode of Low Poly Racing? Would nice to see an AI car tutorial as I’m following along with the project as well.

why when i take "auto mirror" is appear an error?
And I do this for one hour with a big pleasure!
Is it Ok to have triangle Face for Low Poly?
If Not what if I want Triangle in my Model?
Do you just use a picture with a bunch of colors on it for the material?
great job
Why colours are not showing in solid mode pls explain
Hmmmm I wonder if you can do a Battlemech in low poly? Something small , a Locust for example? BTW I love your 10 min series :D
How do you get the color thingy on the left?
0:50 if he was american it wouldn't of been a mic
*have
American: *Attempt to build Stealth Attack Chopper and barely uses it*

Wow cool 👌
How did you get that colour thing?
