    How did you clean the crud that was inside the openings in the head? mine are so dirty from the EGR valve but I do not know how to get them nice and clean without putting something into the head. Is there a solvent or cleaning solution i can pour into the openings?
    Thank you for your videos, I am so sad you are not making more on the 300d, yours are the best that I have found.

    I am doing the same repair, plus glow plugs on my 87 300d. I was thinking about cleaning the injectors too while II have everything apart. What would be the best way to clean them. I was thinking pinesol in the ultrasonic cleaner.

    I just replaced the glow plugs and fixed the wire and glow plug relay fuse. Turned on the ignition, and the glow plug light worked, all four times that I turned the key. I then installed the Intake manifold, and immediately blew the glow plug fuse. I looked at all the wires again, and the only thing I saw that might be the problem is this:
    The mount on the glow plug wiring harness that goes on the head by the intake manifold is resting on the second to the last glow plug from the firewall. I was thinking this could be causing the fuse to pop. Could you please look at yours and see if this is correct? And what type of clearance is there between the mounting hardware and the glow plug?

      Robert Wilson Mine GP Wiring Harness looks very new..has two mounts which goes under bolts holding intake manifold..when i bought this car, it was just sitting there and rubbing on throttle linkage, creating drag….but it always worked good.

    Getting off those hex bolts on my 1994 S350D was a pain in the butt. Very hard to reach and if you didn't have the bit on right, those hex bolts would strip easily. Do you know any tools that can reach those hard to reach bolts?

      +Nate Thegreat (natethegreat) Agree, some were hard to reach..you saw my tools..i have actually grinded off some parts of that intake manifold before i have installed it back, to make more space for tools…now it is more easy. Thanks.
