I'm sorry that you even have to explain yourself. I can't imagine someone could say anything negative seeing how honest and open you are. Some people just have filth living inside of them, and they have to spew it out to feel better about themselves.

Coming from someone who was married to a narcissist, emotional and mentally abusive man addicted to pain pills, I can say I commend you and I have nothing but respect for you! Next month will be 1 year since I took my boys and walked out after spending 7 years with this man. Staying gone was the hardest part for me but not this time. I remember commenting on your divorce video over a year ago, at that point I felt so helpless, I never thought I would get the courage to leave and stay gone but I DID IT and it feels amazing!!!! Watching your videos helped give me courage and made me realize there IS hope to happiness and a safe life away from the constant frustration and worry about his next blow out. So I want to personally THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart!!!!!!! Shame on those hateful people with lives so miserable they have to attempt to make others feel that way. We all know the truth about you ❤️

Jeni....pay absolutely NO ATTENTION to the haters. You dealt with your divorce and your ex husbands issues with a lot of dignity and class. At no point did you bad mouth your ex....even though the pain of what you and the boys went through was very evident in that video. You now have an enviable relationship with your ex's partner, and possibly some of the hate that is coming your way, is coming out of jealousy, even though the person sending the hate may not realize the real reason for it. Continue being you...you are a wonderful mother and I'm sure a fabulous partner as well....those of us who have followed you for a long time see the real you.

I'm 25, single, and childless, and I've been watching your videos for years haha. I just love them and you seem like someone who I'd be friends with. I have noticed some really hateful comments on your videos lately and I feel bad for those people. Of course there are times where a mean or negative thought might come to my head while watching someone's video, but I just move on. I don't understand internet trolls, but they are sad indeed. Best of luck to you, Jeni!

Comments like "No wonder he turned to drugs because you are..." such and such. Is just what a person addicted to something would say. Its such a sad typical thing for drug users and alcoholics to do. Always blame the people around them for the bad choices they make. Im sorry you got messages like that and other harassing comments :( you are a brave courageous woman and im glad you are happier now. And im glad he is happier and healthier.

    Regarding the ugly comments.
People are ALWAYS more confident behind a computer and / or phone screen. Always. They think that there's a screen to block their rude attitude. You know if you ever met them face to face, 99% of them would never say the comments. But because they can use a fake name or whatever, people feel they have the right to be down right a** holes.
Sorry you have to deal with that. I personally have always enjoyed catching up with your life. Love from Michigan. 💞💞

Divorcing a husband that has drug issues is EXTREMELY difficult! I'm 14 years post divorce from a drug addict and my children have grown up knowing what happened and are stronger because of it. They work on their relationships with their dad and I'm there to support and help them.
Be encouraged. ..you're doing very well. Hugs

I lost a live in girlfriend who secretly drank herself to death in my house. I found her in the restroom one morning. Every time I found her behavior odd she had an answer for it. She also lashed out at me a lot. As our relationship unwound I could not put her out because she was so broken she had no place to go and was unfunctional. I understand how drugs and alcohol can change all it touches. I did not understand how much emotional sadness existed in our house and clung to us as individual until after she passed. To all who have loved and lost because of drugs and alcohol I am so sorry for your loss.

You know, you can't control what other people think, nor can you make everyone like you...that is their loss. The biggest thing is never let them rob you of your joy. No one can make you sad or bummed if you don't let them. Live well...give them something to talk about! :)

Sorry it's been so rough with the backlash after being open. I have family who use drugs and I don't have the perspective of the wife, but it was helpful even for me to see. I never thought you were doing it for attention and the sick world we live in means that there are countless other mothers and wives out there going through or who have went through what you did, or even the children of parents like you and your ex. I think what you did by sharing was brave and continuing to share the survival after the fact is brave, ESPECIALLY with the venom so many on the internet love to spew. You went through hell at home and lost everything you worked towards for more than a decade and your boys almost completely lost their father. It's AMAZING how far everything has come and MOST stories don't end up that well. Just wanted to encourage you here. 💗

Bringing awareness of addiction is the best thing we need in our society nowadays! Anyone can go through this.. Whether it's a friend or family member.. So many people are struggling with addiction and become very sick and need help.. I went through what you went through (almost exactly) and had to walk away for the sake of my son. My son came first. That's so sad people are giving you such a hard time. It's so inspiring to see you are not letting the comments affect you! Stay strong girl!!

I haven't commented much, but I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy and appreciate you and your channel. I love how "candid" it is (lol). I saw many of those negative comments on your div-video, and was astounded.. There you are, being genuine; opening-up and sharing about a painful experience... and then to be so harshly shamed.. those comments were indeed awful.. Anyway, with THIS video, you have shown your strength in responding (again) genuinely, and assertively.. You set an EXCELLENT example for you kids in how you have handled the divorce situation, how you can open up and share the experience in a genuine way ... in your healthy relationship with their step-mom, and how you have assertively responded to harsh criticisms BRAVO!!

Hi Jennie! I just saw this video and decided to write you a comment. I just wanted to tell you that I think you´re videos are great. They are great because you are 100% authentic, you are not playing a role and you are just keeping things simple. That is why I watch your channel. I´m sorry to hear that you have been getting so many "hater" comments. You know, haters only "hate" to compensate their own issues. they have no other way to deal with it than trying to make someone else feel miserable too. I know that you posted the "divorce why" video to help people. and what u did is brave. too many people die inside to keep things a secret. opening up to traumatic topics and to be vulnerable is brave and i am sure you have helped so many people. i am sure you have shown so many people that they are not alone and that they can get through this if they have a similar situation. so this comment is simply to say thank you for the authentic content you put out and to continue to do so! lots of love, Melanie

Lol. I was listening to you whilst putting my makeup on ready for the day ha. I wish people weren't so mean. It genuinely boggles my mind just how mean some people can be! Sat hidden behind a computer screen or phone gives people strength. In real life they are cowards! I admire your strength and all that you share. I've been there since the beginning and l just love to follow your journey. You inspire more people than you piss off ha 😂

It's weird. It says there are 132 comments here on YT app...but none show up. I have to press the new little button for "newest first" and only 1 shows up...but there are 132 it says next to comments. "Comments (132)"

I saw a video related to the Divorce video that was all about pointing out the flaws in the video and you as a person. It was narrated by a guy who wasn't very friendly

Thanks for the background video and this new video! They were really informative. I hope you're still not a fan of alcohol, or drugs. I thought that was very attractive.

You put your life out there and thank goodness you understand that there will be hate. Its not fair or nice but I guess when someone is typing they feel they can get away with whatever it is they want.

As people get more subscribers on UA-cam, they get more "hate", that's a fact. Zoë (from Zoella) mentioned, that now she has gotten to a point where none of the disgusting things that are being said get to her because she has heard everything. There is nothing new that people could think of because all the disgusting things have already been said at one point or another.
I have always believed the theory, that people who put others down are very sad inside, but still even then I don't understand it. I am going through the worst time of my life (My mom died three months ago), and still I will not go and say mean things around.
Jeni, I really, really hope that you will not ever, ever quit youtube because of mean people. Your videos are lovely and make my day. I am going to homeschool my little daughter, but, for example, your lunches give me inspiration. The fact that teacher gave you praise for your boy's lunch is just another proof of that. I follow a lot of UA-camrs, so my feed is always full of new videos, and yours are one of the first I click on, I'm being serious.
Your videos are lovely, and I genuinely look forward to them. Stay strong.

There's so much hate on the Internet, it's crazy. They don't even know you and they judge you. Ignore that hate, it's sad to see people with so much hate. Hugs ❤
