Hi, new subscriber here. I have no experience with property management, but I was recently offered the position. I start next week. Thank you for your tips!
I was offered the position at my current residence! This will be my first time as a property manager. I took your tips and used them. Amazing! Thank you for your help! It's a 45 unit property in a small farming town. I'm very excited but not sure I like the compensation. I will have no discount on rent, in fact my rent will increase. I will be working 20-40 hrs at minimum wage. Does this sound fair?
I make 75k with 20k with net operating income bonus potential which is feasible. Not to mention rental discounts, and benefits. I've been in the industry for 10 years starting in leasing. No college degree or certifications. Hope this helps for anyone looking for more information. Florida.
Hi I messaged you last year regarding if a leasing career is better than a retail career and undoubtedly it is especially hit by Covid. I’m a single mom making the leap into this field at 51. When you responded, you offered me a discount for the course. However I didn’t save your message to me. Just wondering if it still applies. Thank you very much. Charlene Forte
Great question. No. When we refer to Property Manager, we typically mean someone working at apartment communities. An estate manager is in charge of the upkeep and day-to-day running of a private estate. They should oversee maintenance, supervise staff members, and manage budgets and events. Make sense?
@@rochelleholmes9271 it really depends on the family you work for. Have you considered traditional property management? Their is a lot more options and money in it.
The salary is highly dependent on where you live and what kind of compensation plan you have requested. $100-150k is very possible in major cities.
Boom!
