I have a feeling Geno Smith is going to have the best year of his career. First of all he's in great shape. Then, hearing what you guys said today and seeing the look on your faces. I think he's going to be laser focused and locked in this year for sure.
There was a question earlier about which assistant coach will have the most impact. My question is what role the new defensive coordinator will play. Is he just a "guy", like an intern under McDonald? Or will he actually have something to add?
@@diggitus Totally agree. I think it served both purposes. I'm a big fan of the Love extension on it's own merits and I think we will look back on it as a ver good move.
I think the Seahawks feel confident that Julian Love fits this system well. I think they feel he is a high IQ player and should pick up things quickly and play them at a high level. I also feel like they think he can be one of the leaders.
Ditto on the leadership perspective. Love has a quiet strong demeanor if the smarts are truly present he will be an excellent asset helping teammates excel in the new system…… winner winner chicken dinner!
Maybe I'm in the minority. I stopped listening to 710 6 years ago due to moving across the country. What does Stacy Rost bring to the table? Mina Kimes brings knowledge, spice, humor and broader league knowledge. JMHO
Wow, negative Nathan, aka the wet blanket, critical of the possible Connor Williams signing, shocker. I think Nathan was part of the Global AI incident last week, just sayin.
I mean....he's a great center for 9 games. On the other hand there's a reason why a high powered offense moved on. He was nearly medically retired last year and this is his third major knee injury in his career. It's a move that is very much a shot in the dark. He was supposed to be ready for training camp and no one knows how much more time he needs to rehab.

Great show Brian. What an amazing time to be a Seahawks fan! I feel the energy across the fan bass once again.
Stacy is a real force!
Especially if you sit behind her on the plane

The JL extension is to clear cap space for the Williams signing which is going to happen.
They could have just reworked a vet's deal if that's all they needed. They wouldn't do this unless they wanted to commit to Love in his own right

He should eventually become a top 5 safety if he stays healthy
He basically just entered his prime
How many comp picks do we have nex tr year?
A 4th and a 5th rounder
With all due respect to Nathan, running the football is Definitively Sexy. If not, then how do we explain the wonder of Marshawn Lynch?
Now Nathan doesn't like the Seahawks running game? WTF? Negative Nathan, aka the Wet Blanket, suits you well Nathan.
Nathan likes to be wrong. You need the running game to get the best out of the passing game. Same dude who said seattle will draft penix

Maybe you should take your meds?
@@iron_bisonYou realize you might as well be talking to a wall instead of that guy right?
That's his shtick.
